161209 Will you? ft. Kim Namjoon     “How’s that for backdrop?” Namjoon excitedly runs over and strikes a pose. She gives her boyfriend a weak smile as she holds up her phone and snaps a couple – or ten – pictures.   She sighs for the fifth time. “Are you anywhere near done yet?” She asks.   The couple had come to the beach on a date but ever since they reached here, she’s done nothing but take pictures for Namjoon. Not that she has anything against his love for modelling but it’s already been a whole afternoon and she’s hungry.   Namjoon glances at his watch quickly before pointing in a particular direction. “How about one more over that side?”   “Why not,” she mutters under her breath. Dragging her feet along, she follows him to the shoreline where Namjoon takes a playful step into the water.   “Careful,” she remembers to call out to him. From where he is, Namjoon waves. The sun is setting and with the orange sky behind him, Namjoon looks nothing short of mesmerising. Pulling out her phone again, she takes some candid shots.   “It’s really beautiful here, isn’t it?” Namjoon asks, bending over to pick up a shell from the wet sand. He washes it lightly in the breaking wave and waddles to her, brandishing his new finding.   She smiles. “It is.” Her hunger had disappeared when she lost herself in the picturesque horizon, all thoughts of strangling Namjoon gone.   “Come, I’ll help you take a picture,” Namjoon says suddenly. He leads her closer to where he stood earlier and with her back to the sea, he takes several steps back. She holds up her signature V-sign but then, a warm breeze blows through her light curls. Namjoon reacts on reflex and quickly hits the shutter.   “That probably didn’t come out nice,” she pouts, “take another one!”   Namjoon laughs but nods anyway. He lets his eyes drink in the breathtaking sight before him – her eyes glistening in the reflection of the sun, her smile wider than the seas. As she jumps from pose to pose, Namjoon swiftly captures them all. His satisfied smile brings her back to him as she skips over, leaning over his phone to look through the pictures he took.   “Not bad,” she comments, earning her an eye roll from Namjoon.   Snaking an arm around her, he flips the camera over and positions it at a flattering angle. The first few shots are candid as she caught on a beat too late, but leaning into Namjoon, she dimples in another smile as Namjoon takes the selfie. In one picture, he surprises her by laying a peck on her cheek. A pretty blush spreads across her face as she hides into his chest.   “That’s cheating!” She chides playfully despite having obviously enjoyed the surprise.   “I’m using that one as wallpaper,” Namjoon says, laughter deep in his voice. As he changes his display settings, a chime from his notifications reminds him of the time.   “What is it?” She asks.   He looks down at her affectionately and takes her hand, interlacing their fingers. “Let’s go eat, shall we?”   “Oh,
