161205 With me ft. Min Yoongi     (to set the mood)   Coffee… coffee… Yoongi sits in his studio with a splitting headache. He’s been working since early that day and he’s still cooped up inside even though the sun had set several hours ago. It is on nights like this that he misses her most. Granted, they had just met a couple of days ago but there’s nothing that soothes his tiredness better than her comforting hugs.   Looking at the time, his face falls. It would have sufficed for him to just hear her voice but now, is it too late to call? What if she’s already asleep? He sighs and lets his head fall onto his table with a loud bang.   Screw it, he thinks as he stands abruptly, his chair nearly falling over behind him. Grabbing his jacket off its rack, he rushes out.   To call or not to call, he wonders. Pacing downstairs her apartment, he looks up to the dark square that is the window to her room. The lights are off – this means that she’s asleep. He furrows his brows and bites his lips. He didn’t come all the way here just to hesitate on whether to call her down or not.   Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he stares at his keypad indecisively before pressing number one on his speed dial.   He lets it ring five times before hanging up. He’s about to turn away when his brashness gets the better of him and before he realises what he’s done, he’d redialled her number.   “Hello?” Her soft voice comes through after no more than three rings this time.   Did he wake her? The coppery taste of blood hits his tongue as he breaks skin on his lips. He cusses himself mentally. It’s not his style to be this wishy-washy.    “Yoongi?” She speaks again when he remains silent over the line. The sound of his name strikes a pang of desire in his heart.   Pondering over what to say, finally he asks, “Were you asleep?”   “Not really.” He can hear the smile in her voice. “There’s noise in the background. Where are you?”   Her observance is one of the many things he liked about her. Being a man of little words, he puts his feelings into his expressions and he’s grateful that she’s able to sense it all without him saying anything.   “I… I’m downstairs,” he confesses, afraid of sounding needy. He looks up again to see her window light up, her petite shadow flitting by drawn curtains.   “Five minutes,” she says quickly before hanging up.   Hmm? He raises an eyebrow at his timed-out phone screen. He didn’t quite catch what her ‘five minutes’ could mean but he assumes he supposed to wait. Time ticks by slowly and he pushes his hands into his jacket pocket to keep them from freezing. He slaps himself mentally for not remembering to take his scarf with him.
