After lunch was over everyone in the lee house went to the backyard. The children were playing while the elders were looking at their children play while talking with each other

“So,” Mrs. Ahn looked at Mrs. Lee and continued “are you planning on officially adopting Jonghyun?” 

Mrs. Lee looked at Mrs. Ahn and then at her husband who was interested in the ladies conversation as soon as he heard the question.

Mrs. Lee stayed quiet for a few moments before replying “I’m not quite sure.” 

Mrs. Ahn was taken aback by the answer. The way Mrs. Lee was treating Jonghyun during lunch made Mrs. Ahn think that Mrs. Lee won’t think twice before adopting Jonghyun, but before Mrs. Ahn could say anything Mrs. Lee continued

“I have a feeling Jinki wants another relationship with Jonghyun than having him as a brother.” 

When the other three adults heard Mrs. Lee’s reply they all turned their heads towards Onew and Jonghyun who were running around the yard chasing Taemin and Somi. 

“How come I didn’t notice anything?” Mr. Lee whispered but it didn’t go unheard by Mrs. Lee who replied with a chuckle, “Maybe if you were more cautious about your son’s behavior you would have noticed”

“I think he would make a perfect son in law. The boy is kind and sweet” Mr. Ahn joined the conversation

“And he is, for a matter of fact, a very good cook”Mr. Lee continued with a laugh “he made a chicken dish a few days back and it was perfect.”

“Maybe Onew and Jonghyun were destined to be together, that’s why Jonghyun was found by you guys.” Mrs. Ahn said and all the elders looked at the way Onew was carrying Somi while Jonghyun was pinching Somi’s cheek while Taemin making funny faces at Somi.

In the evening the Lee house was really quiet,  Somi was asleep in Taemin’s room along with Taemin, Onew and Jonghyun were in their respective rooms while the adults in the house has gone for some last minute Christmas shopping. 

Onew was in his room doing some school work; he was doing an assignment his math’s lecture had told the class to do during the vacation. Onew was a smart student, his was more of an all-rounder, sports, studies, looks, money,  you name it and the boy has it but however when it comes to math’s and science the boy was really terrible he hated both the subjects and also didn’t understand it. So now the smart boy was stuck in one question for almost an hour. He had finished everything except for that question.

“Can I come in?” Onew looked to the direction of the voice and saw Jonghyun cutely peeping through the door; only above Jonghyun’s nose was through the door.

“Of course, Come in” Onew replied.

“Are you busy? Did I come in the wrong time?” 

“No. No, I was just doing some maths, but I’m also most done.” Onew replied and was about to close his half-finished assignment but stopped when he heard Jonghyun say 

“Is that statistics?” Onew looked at Jonghyun who was staring at his assignment over his shoulder.

“You know this?” Onew stared at Jonghyun with wide eyes.

Jonghyun nodded his head and said “a hyung in the orphanage taught me that when he came for community service”

“Do you how to do this particular one?” Onew asked

“Yeah. The answer is 29.3” 

Onew couldn’t believe it. He had so many thoughts all of a sudden running his mind. He suddenly realized he doesn’t know Jonghyun all that well. He had so many questions he wanted to ask the boy all of a sudden but the only question he wanted to ask at the moment was

“Can you teach me how to get that answer?”
