Thursday.

Lunch time.

"Guyysssss~ I'm really excited for my cousin to start attending this school! Like the first and last time we attended the same school was when we were 12. That was soooo long ago and-"

"Isn't that him right there?", asked Tao curiously as he pointed at the cafeteria entry way.

Luhan turned around as fast as lightning and screamed very loudly in happiness as he broke into the biggest smile and ran over to where his cousin was; jumping in his arms when he reached him. He wrapped his arms around Kris' neck tightly and gave him kisses on the cheek nonstop while his legs wrapped around Kris' waist.

"Calm down child. It's not like I just returned from the dead", chuckled Kris while wrapping his arms around Luhan's back so he doesn't fall.

Sehun, who was sitting halfway across the room from where Luhan sat, had been looking at the latter with a small smile and when he saw Luhan scream and randomly get up and run, he followed him with his gaze; his smile became an upset expression.

Who is this tall, blonde mannequin that you're hugging? Me and angry bird eyebrows are almost the same height but you don't hug me like that.

Sehun took a bite out of his apple with a scowl as he looked at the interaction between Luhan and big foot.

"Sehun chill. It's probably just a friend. Don't get worked up by this", said Chanyeol as he patted Sehun's shoulder reassuringly.

Sehun turned back to look at his stepbrother and his scowl was replaced by a pout.

"But hyunggg~ Look at how they're hugging! I mean I'm tall too but I'm not the one in his arms".

"Sehun, Chanyeol's right. I mean if they were something else they would've made out right in front of everyone. Don't think too much about it", said Kai, not once looking up from his phone; he had been searching for Kyungsoo's social media. Any at all. Ever since he saw Tao and Kyungsoo together in the cooking room, curiosity has been killing him; he wants to know if his suspicions are true and since he hasn't had the time to ask Lay, he decided to do some research on his own.

It just seems like they're dating but I can't find anything at all. Curiosity is killing me. I mean it's not my business if they're dating or not but why make it look like you're dating when you're not? Ugh I don't care.

Frustrated by finding no results whatsoever, Kai set his phone to the side and started eating his now cold food.

"Lu will you get off of me? You're not a baby anymore", said Kris as he looked around the room, noticing a few pairs of eyes looking at them.

"Take me to the table", said Luhan cutely, his arms still wrapped around Kris' neck tightly; he nuzzled his forehead in the crook of Kris' neck and smiled.

He had missed his cousin so much. When he moved to Korea, he had a hard time making friends so during the summer, his aunt and uncle allowed Kris to go visit him so he wouldn't be as lonely. The summer days tightened their bond to the point they became inseparable and every time Kris had to go back to Canada Luhan would cry and mope around the house, waiting for Kris to come back. 

"Lu-"

"Now Kris", said Luhan as he looked up at his cousin, sending him a very demanding glare; his sweet voice now gone, along with his smile.

Kris gulped loudly and nodded; he carried Luhan to where he had been sitting and set him down in the seat he had sat at earlier.

Luhan smiled brightly at him once again before facing his friends and saying, "Guys~ This is Kris! He's my cousin that just came from Canada! Kris you already know most of them but this is Joonmyeon, Baekhyun and I'm not sure if you remember Tao since you guys met only once", said Luhan as he pointed around the table as he introduced his friends.

Kris smiled a bit and bowed; his eyes lingered around Luhan's friends until they stopped at Tao.

Oh! He's the panda! Damn he grew. I was twice as tall as him a few years ago. What happened?

Tao looked up at Kris and smiled shyly before looking back down at his food and picking up his chopsticks to start eating once again.

Kyungsoo had been observing between the two and when he saw Tao act shy, he squealed inwardly.

They're the next SNHS couple. So cute~ I'll make sure of it, he thought with a smirk as he continued to eat his food, not once taking his eyes away from them.

Kris ended up sitting next to Xiumin who was sitting across from Tao.

Everyone talked until the lunch bell rung and it was time to go to the last period of the day. 

Sometime during lunch Luhan had asked Kris to show him his schedule; Luhan noticed that Kris and Tao have a few classes together, including the last period of the day (today) so he asked Tao to take Kris with him.

Tao walked side by side with Kris; he felt like his heart was going crazy. Although he had only met Kris once, that time was enough to make him feel something; he had this summer crush on his Kris when they met but never said anything to anyone except his best friend Kyungsoo. He thought he wasn't going to see Kris again after that summer so he didn't see the point in voicing out his feelings. When he saw Kris again, standing right in front of him, he was shocked but also happy. It was years ago that him and Kris had met but for some reason, there was a lingering feeling. When Luhan had announced that Kris would be attending SNHS Tao was surprised and deep down he felt excited but he managed to push those thoughts away since he knew they would get him nowhere.

Kris doesn't even remember me, he had told himself to convice himself it would be stupid to expect something.

Thank God I only told Kyungsoo about my feelings, otherwise this would be more awkward than it already is. But even now, there's this feeling. This feeling I can't push away. Damn why is the music room so far away?

"You grew up", said Kris breaking the silence as they finally reached the music room.

Tao looked at Kris with wide eyes.

"Y-you remember me?"

"Of course", said Kris with a smile before walking away and towards the music teacher.

Tao stood there shocked. 

It has been what?, five? seven? years since we met and he remembers me? Okay Tao it's not surprising since you remember him also. Maybe he just has a good memory.

Tao pushed his thoughts away by shaking his head and then made his way to his seat; Kai and him were in a group together. Every other group had four members but since the class didn't have enough students to complete their group, it's only them two working together.

That is..

"Kai, Tao, could you come here for a second", said the music teacher with a smile as she talked to Kris.

Tao and Kai went up to where the teacher was and stood next to her expectantly.

"Now you guys have another member in your group!", beamed the music teacher as she pointed at Kris.

Tao's eyes popped out of his sockets.

"W-what..", he stuttered.

"You don't want me in your group? I thought we were friends", said Kris, as he jokingly hurt.

But Tao didn't see the joke in that.

"It's not t-that! It's just..."

"It's fine Tao. I'm kidding", said Kris as he chuckled and ruffled Tao's hair.

Tao's face became a soft pink but gladly no one noticed.

Tao, Kai and Kris soon went back to their seats and they started working on their project.

Halfway through class, a petite boy with owl eyes walked in. 

Kai had looked up when he heard the door open and unconsciously smiled when he saw the other; he followed him with his gaze, his smile never faltering. But Kyungsoo didn't notice Kai was in the room. At least not yet..

Kyungsoo made his way to the teacher's desk and smiled genuinely at her.

When she laid her eyes on Kyungsoo she broke into a bright smile and clapped excitedly.

"Hello, Ms. Park", greeted Kyungsoo as he bowed and smiled.

Ms. Park, the music teacher, gave Kyungsoo a pout.

Kyungsoo was confused at first but then chuckled and said, "I'm sorry. I meant, So Eun noona".

"Much better. Okay, so I'm guessing you decided to do me the favor after all?", asked Ms. Park hopeful.

"I wasn't sure at first but now I am. I'll do it", said Kyungsoo with a small smile. 

"Great!", beamed Ms. Park as she jumped out of her seat and clapped excitedly once again. 

Kyungsoo laughed at her cuteness.

"Okay come on! I'll introduce you to your teammates", said Ms. Park excitedly as she took hold of Kyungsoo's arm and dragged him towards a group of people.

When Kyungsoo noticed where he was being dragged to, at first he smiled brightly but then he noticed Kris and Tao weren't alone; Kai was there too. That made him nervous.

"Guys! Now your group is complete! I brought you guys a new member. But don't tire him out or annoy him or he won't want to work with you guys anymore", said the teacher as she pointed at Kyungsoo next to her.

"Kyungsoo", said Kris with a small smile and a head bow.

"Kyungiieeeee~", squealed Tao as he got out of his seat and engulfed Kyungsoo in a tight embrace. 

Kyungsoo laughed but hugged him back anyways. 

Kai made a confused face but so did Kris. 

Now they seriously must be dating. I mean they are always cute to each other and they hug and go to movies and stuff.. 

Tao pulled away from Kyungsoo and took hold of the latter's hands as he dragged him to sit next to him.

"So since I see my dongsaeng is in good hands, I'll let you guys be", said Ms. Park as she walked away with a laugh.

"So I'm guessing you and Ms. Park know each other pretty well since she called you dongsaeng", said Kris curiosly.

"Yeah. She's my sister's best friend so we grew up seeing each other. She's 6 years older than me though", said Kyungsoo matter of factly.

"Oh that explains it", said Kris understandingly.

Kyungsoo nodded and pulled away his away from Tao's since it was getting sweaty.

"Kyungie you don't love me anymore?", asked Tao cutely.

Kris looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

What's up with these two? They dating or what.

"Tao I love you dearly but my hand is sweaty", chuckled Kyungsoo.

Kai looked between the two and he couldn't help but wish he had a friendship like that. 

They gotta be dating. Yup. That's it. That's my conclusion. No more questions or research. They're dating. 

"Okay. But what if when you get a boyfriend and he holds your hand for a long time and your hand gets sweaty; will you make him feel bad by pulling away your hand? Are you that cruel?", asked Tao jokingly. 

'When you get a boyfriend? Wait. So they ain't dating. Damn. Back to square one', thought Kai. 

"When I get a boyfriend, it's going to be different Zi..", said Kyungsoo, looking at Kai when he said the word 'boyfriend'. 

"Yeah whatever", said Tao with a smirk. 

They started working on the project soon and before they knew it, class was over and they could go home.

When the bell rung, Kyungsoo stood up and smiled, before saying goodbye to his team members; after all this isn't his class. Ms. Park needed an extra student so the competition was fair and since she's in love with his voice, she asked him for a favor. At first he was reluctant but he didn't see the downside of helping his noona so he did.

Kyungsoo started walking towards the door with some papers (for the project) in his hand with a small smile and as he was about to grab the door knob, someone tapped him on the shoulder.

He turned around and when he saw who it was, the smile he had on faltered a little.

"I didn't know you went here until I saw you in the cooking room and you burned your thumb. Talking about it, how is it? Is it still red or does it hurt?", asked Kai as he took hold of Kyungsoo's hand and examined his thumb.

At the sudden contact, Kyungsoo felt like his whole body was on fire.

"I-it's fine..", said Kyungsoo shyly as he retracted his hand from Kai's hold.

Kai nodded with a smile.

"I have to meet Lay for dance practice. Do you want to come along?", he asked, his tone hopeful.

Kyungsoo shook his head.

"I h-have work in two hours".

"Oh? Should I drive you there? I'll be stopping by there after practice since the frozen coffee always helps me cool down", said Kai matter of factly.

"N-no it's fine. I-I can drive", said Kyungsoo with a small smile, his face now looking like a tomato.

"Okay then", said Kai while nodding.

They both exited the music room and parted ways, Kyungsoo returning to his classroom to get his backpack and such while Kai going to meet Lay in the dance room.

Kyungsoo went in the classroom, grabbed his things and since he noticed he doesn't have to be at work for another hour and a half, he decided to stay in the cooking room for a little bit.

He walked in the cooking room and set his things by the door; from the window he could see almost all the students had left, leaving him and a few that had extra curricular activities. 

It had been ten minutes when Kyungsoo heard the door open; he turned around to see who it was and suddenly felt scared.

"Hello Kyungieee. How you doing on this fine day?", asked Mino with a devilish smile. 

Kyungsoo gulped when he heard his voice; Mino and him used to be very good friends until Mino started becoming possessive of him to the point he would stalk him. After a while, Mino confessed his feelings for Kyungsoo but since the latter rejected him, he now used any chance he could get to him alone. 

Mino took a step closer which made Kyungsoo take a step back; Mino noticed this and smirked before saying, "Scared huh?"

"Mino, you need help. Why don't you leave me alone? There are many people that like you. Why like me, out of all people?"

"Because Kyungsoo, I was a loner and you approached me. You made me feel like I matter. Like I'm special. And you gave me hope. WHY THE HELL DID YOU GIVE ME HOPE IF YOU WEREN'T GOING TO LIKE ME BACK?", said Mino, starting off by talking and then his talking turning into yelling. 

At the sudden yelling, Kyungsoo jumped. 

I have to get out of here.

"Kyungsoo, I love you. Why won't you love me back?", asked Mino, taking full strides towards Kyungsoo until he was standing right in front of him.

Kyungsoo started to shake and he couldn't help but to fear for his life; his eyes started watering.

"I don't love you Mino. You know that. You always did", said Kyungsoo while choking on his tears.

"I know you love me. It's somewhere in there. I know you have feelings for me, you just won't admit it. But let me help you", said Mino as he took hold of Kyungsoo's wrist.

A tear slipped out of Kyungsoo's eyes, making a stain down his cheek. 

"L-let me go".

"No can do", said Mino, his hold getting tighter.

He was holding onto Kyungsoo's wrist so tightly that it was starting to hurt the latter. 

"P-please.."

Mino ignored Kyungsoo's pleas and instead pushed him against the wall; Kyungsoo squirmed under him but that didn't stop him.

Mino started kissing Kyungsoo's neck harshly and that only made Kyungsoo cry harder as he tried to push him away.

Mino was so harsh as he started ing Kyungsoo's shirt; Kyungsoo tried his best to push him off but Mino was simply too strong.

"P-please d-don't do this..", begged Kyungsoo as he choked on his tears.

Mino kept ignoring Kyungsoo as he tried to taste the latter's body.

Kyungsoo started kicking and turning, trying to get away but Mino wouldn't budge; that is, until Kyungsoo, while trying to push him off, kicked him in the private parts.

That made Mino fall to the ground and groan in pain; that was Kyungsoo's cue to leave; he ran for the door, leaving his backpack behind, and running down the hall and towards the exit. 

He could hear Mino's yelling from behind him so he knew he wasn't as far as he thought he was.

Kyungsoo ran down the halls; his mind was clouded to the point he didn't know where was running to.

He turned a few corners and kept running, not once looking back as tears ran down his cheeks, some staining already.

He was running down the halls, seeing blurry as more tears kept coming out; as he ran, he saw something at the end of the hall.

It seemed to be moving towards him but he couldn't tell. 

As he got closer, he realized it wasn't something, but someone. 

When he was only a few steps away from the person, he realized it was Kai; seeing it was Kai, Kyungsoo ran faster until he reached Kai and hugged him as he cried harder.

Seeing Kyungsoo cry, for some reason, made Kai hurt too and want to hurt whoever hurt the boy in his arms.

Kai hugged Kyungsoo back just as tight as Kyungsoo hugged him.

"Kyungsoo what's wrong?? Did someone do something to you?", asked Kai worriedly. 

Kyungsoo nodded against Kai's chest as he cried harder. 

Kai felt something break inside him at Kyungsoo's nod.

Who did this to you.. I promise they won't hurt you again..

Kai heard yelling from where Kyungsoo had came from and apparently Kyungsoo heard it too as he pulled away from Kai and looked behind him; he realized Mino was behind them somewhere and that made him scared. 

He took hold of Kai's hand and pulled him with him, running as fast as he could.

........

Kyungsoo and Kai made it out of the school and to the parking lot, both out of breath from how fast they ran. 

"T-take me home..please..", begged Kyungsoo, not letting go of Kai's hand. 

Kai nodded and made his way to his car; he opened the passenger door for Kyungsoo and helped the latter get in; he then got in the driver's side and they drove off.

Halfway through the car ride, Kai asked where Kyungsoo lived and the address surprised him a little.

It was in his neighborhood.

Kai reached his neighborhood and when Kyungsoo told him where to turn, that made Kai even more surprised.

We live on the same street? I seriously didn't even know..

When Kyungsoo told him to stop, Kai did and that was it. His eyes grew wide when he realized they were neighbors.

"We're neighbors?!?", asked Kai, shocked.

Kyungsoo, whose crying had turned into hiccups, got out of the car and started making his way to his front door; Kai was stunned for a bit before following him. 

When Kyungsoo reached his front door, he looked back at Kai with a small smile before searching for his house keys.

He unlocked the door and all of a sudden he felt dizzy. His head was spinning from all the crying and he just wanted to lay down. He was about to walk inside his house when suddenly he lost his balance and rather fell, not on the ground, but in someone's arms. 

Kai's.

The last thing he remembers is Kai's worried expression looking at him, asking him what's wrong.

Kyungsoo woke up two hours later in his room.

He sat up all too quickly which made him feel dizzy. 

"Lay back down. It's okay. I'm right here", said Kai reassuringly.

Kyungsoo was shocked to see Kai at his side but nonetheless nodded.

"This house looks just like I remember it..." said Kai, talking to himself.

"Why would it look any different? You left, not me", said Kyungsoo, his voice a bit cold.

Kai looked at Kyungsoo with soft eyes.

"When I walked in, all the memories just..they just flooded into my head.. ", admitted Kai as he looked around Kyungsoo's room.

Kyungsoo sat up and pressed his knees to his chest, looking at Kai, expecting him to continue.

Kai looked back at Kyungsoo and a tear slipped out of his eyes; Kyungsoo reached out and used the pad of his thumb to wipe it away. He was about to retract his hand but Kai pressed it against his cheek.

They looked into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever until Kai, out of courage, leaned in and closed the gap between their lips.

This is probably the longest chapter so far. I hope you guys enjoy it since I worked hard. I know I know, this is supposed to be a fanfic with Baekyeol as the main couple but here I am writing about everyone else. I promise to add some Baekyeol in the next chapter.

So finally, Kaisoo has something going. And then Sehun's jealousy moment lmao.
