*She’s not paying you the attention she used to. She’s been distant lately but that’s something you’ve grown used to. You don’t want to give up but she’s so close to losing you*

I couldn’t understand why she chose to keep stabbing me in the heart, but I guess I can’t be surprised when I kept handing her the knives. I think about ‘us’ a lot, even though ‘us’ doesn’t exist anymore. Having a broken hearts is like having a broken rib. Nobody can see it, but it hurt with every breath.

I don’t think the worst part of moving on is living without the person, I think the hardest part is having to wake up in the morning and find that she’s not there. And the worst part is breaking the habits you’ve created together and constantly trying to get her out of your mind

When I look back at it all, the moments that seemed the darkest — when my heart was beating so hard I thought it just might break out of my chest, when it hurt just to breathe, and when the flickering flame of pain ran through me every time I heard your name – it all makes sense now. I’m better off these days, even though I couldn’t see it back then. I have to leave you so that I could be here now, and now is exactly where I’m meant to be.
