A/N: First things first! Sorry! I know I said I was going to update the beginning of this week, but I was really busy at work and I fell sick too so.... No excuses though, I did write a little everyday and here's the first part of the chapter since I realised this might be a little longer than expected. Nonetheless, enjoy! :D

“Pany-ah, did you see nailtam2na just posted our nails that we did together?" Taeyeon asked excitedly.

“Yea, I did.” Silence. Tae turns around due to the sudden and awkward quietness just to face a pouting Tiffany.

“What’s wrong Pany?” Being together for so long, she knew something was up and wanted to know what went wrong so as to be able to fix the problem from there. She walked over to Tiffany and gave her a back-hug while sitting next to her on the couch. Feeling her lover sink her body back into her hug, there was a sense of familiarity and warmth. Looking over at Tiff’s phone, she realised what was wrong. The dance version of her new song ‘Why’ had just been released and there was a couple dance in the video that hasn’t been performed in the past few music shows.

The worst part of Tiffany finding out this way was because she was the most excited person apart from Taeyeon herself whenever the latter had a new project to show. Not knowing about the dance version came as a somewhat pleasant surprise to her, but learning about the couple dance through watching the MV release along with all the fans made Tiffany just that little bit upset, and jealous to say the least. The most infuriating part would also be that her lover's dance partner had yet again been Kasper, the same guy from their TTS Holler and Adrenaline era. She kept thinking to herself, whether or not the guy had saved the entire universe his past life or not, having the luck to be paired with her hot and charismatic little lover for so many songs, having such close contact with who she had claimed as hers.

Theoretically, Tiffany understood it was for work and she should stay professional no matter what, even though Kasper was younger than her, quite good looking, humorous and the list could just go on. Despite knowing that Tae loves her deeply, she couldn't help but compare herself to him, feeling that she somehow fell short next to him. She let out a deep sigh as she let the numerous thoughts fleet through her little head. 

Feeling the arms around her waist tighten and Tae's body move impossibly closer to her, she awoke from her thoughts and let out another sigh. "I thought we talked about this before, Fany. There is nothing between Taewoo and I, our couple dance was strictly work." Tae said exasperatedly. 

"You're even on first name basis now, wow great." Tiff muttered under her breath hoping that Tae wouldn't hear it but the petit one had really sharp hearing and couldn't help but feel a little riled up over the same small issue that they've been facing for awhile now.

Tae had had enough of explaining herself all this time just to appease jealous Tiffany whenever she had work that required her to make close contact with other, regardless male or female. She quickly released her hold from her lover's waist and broke the back hug while  turning Tiffany around roughly by grabbing her shoulders. She wanted to talk this through with Tiffany calmly but she just couldn't control her volume when she was too fuming from the inside out. "Fany! Look at me! Look into my eyes and see that I'm not lying to you! He's just a dongsaeng to me, a lil bro! How many times do I have to tell you that you are the one that I love and it has only been you in the past, only you now in the present and it's going to be you in the future as well?!? Why don't you trust me enough? We can't keep having the same old childish arguments about being jealous over our working partners!" 

Tears started welling up in both their eyes, upset over different issues. "Y-you think I'm childish now? Fine then, great even, that I'm heading off to Rome soon so you don't have to deal with this CHILDISH girlfriend of yours!" Tiffany stood up abruptly and broke the hold that Tae had over her shoulders. She stormed into their shared bedroom and took Tae's pillow and blanket out, throwing them at her lover. "Don't sleep with this CHILDISH person either!" She slammed the door at a flabbergasted Tae, not knowing how this escalated from a peaceful night just surfing their phones. What has shocked her more was the fact that she just found out about Tiffany going over to Rome, just days before her Butterfly Kiss concert, a period of time when she needs Tiffany by her side the most as she drowned herself both physically and mentally in her work.

"Fany! You know that's not what I meant! Come on Fany, open the door! Fany!" The tears broke free and streamed down both their faces, "Talk to me Fany, please, Fany. We need to talk about your trip Fany… You know I can't sleep without you... " Tae's voice drifted off as she grew tired of pounding and crying at the door. Tiffany similarly was crying on the floor, leaning against the locked door between them listening to a muffled Tae, the voice that she had grown to love and appreciate all these years becoming soft and weak with the crying and hiccuping that started not long after.

Tiffany knew she needed a cooling off period with Tae apart from each other just to think through recent events. While she packed her luggage, tears slowly stopped falling down, leaving streaks on her flawless face as they dried up. The Rome work trip for Fendi had come just in time, giving both of them some ample time since staying in the dorm together all this time made them somewhat inseparable. She made a little decision to change her look up tomorrow as well before the flight in the late morning.

The next morning, Tiffany woke up earlier than usual, to make her way to the salon for her mini makeover. She opened the door of their bedroom only to find a curled up Taeyeon leaning against the wall, asleep with tear stained cheeks just like hers had been the night before. She broke a little on the inside, seeing the person she loved the most, so vulnerable and lovable in her sleep, knowing that she probably fell asleep from the fatigue of crying. She bent down, gently scooped her up bridal style and carried Taeyeon to their bed. She tucked her in properly and gave her a light peck on the forehead. I’m gonna miss you so bad little dork but we have to be apart for the next few days, it’s for our own good, for us to both calmly think through. Sorry for being jealous and I’ll always love you no matter what.

Dragging her luggage with her, she turned slightly to take a last look at her lover before slowly and quietly making her way down to meet her manager who has been waiting downstairs for her.
