We've been arguing with each other ever since I told him about what pack alpha had told me. It was like my whole world had been turned upside down and I realized how much I was really worth. I feel Jongin put his arms around me and I can't help but lay my head on his chest. I can hear his heartbeat and it calms me.... until he opens that mouth of his

“We'll be okay Kyungsoo.” I feel a rage that I had been holding back all along come out full force, I push him off of me and I throw him against the wall.

“We? We!? You're not the one being used as a bargaining chip by the pack” Instead of yelling back at me like I expected him to he just calmly cups my face and wipes away the tears I didn't know I was crying. I don't deserve him.

“You’re right but my mate is, this may be more hurtful for you but please don't act like I can't be upset. I feel that I’m losing you” my grip loosen and I back away from him. We stand there in silence for several minutes while we try to collect our thoughts and put it around this entire crazy situation.

“...Jongin come here, I said come here. I love you, always remember that okay”

“I will and so will the rest of the world. I can't let you go through with this” I shake my head in frustration, he doesn't understand, he wasn't raised in a pack. I'm tired. Tired of explaining this to him, tired of having to always think about everyone else. Tired of it never being about me. Instead of blowing up on him I try to explain it one more time

“It's for my pack, I can't let the pack down, this is bigger than me, This is bigger than use Jongin. If I don't do this there could be war.” I feel him hold me tight

“If you do this there will be war, I’m not letting anyone take you away from me.” Damn it! he just doesn't get it

“Jongin!” please understand. please

“No. Don't Jongin me, just when I get you they want to take you away.” There's no point in doing this anymore.

“Jo-huh never mind here comes Sehun and Tao.” I see the Psychic and the Newborn walking up. Huh~ They're both so tall. Tired of everyone towering over me. ing giants. I nudge Jongin letting him know I don't want him brining this up with them, I don't want anyone else being involved. I look at Tao, I hadn't really seen him since the whole incident. I study his face he seemed to have a haunted look to him that had yet to go away. When he saw me looking he gave me a quick smile which I returned. Like always Sehun was the first to speak.

Sehun Pov

“What's up with you two?”

“Nothing, we're fine” Sehun just stares at Jongin like he's stupid...he's such a bad liar

“Jongin don't you know by now that you can't lie to me, you aura fluctuates when you do”

“Wait you were serious! I thought you were just bulling.”

“i was bullting about that but it's nice to know you think so highly as me and my abilities, also thanks for letting me know that you were lying. “In any other situation I would admire how innocent he looks with his eyes wide and mouth agape but i could tell something was seriously wrong with the glare Kyungsoo threw his way. It was then that Jongin began to trip and stumble over his words

“Bu-I- Jus-...huh, I didn't want you guys to do anything stupid.” i hear Tao scoff off to my side

“When have I ever done anything stupid, it's always you two.”

"Hey!"

"Not now Tao" When i see the look Jongin is giving me i know exactly what he's talking about but that doesn't count!

“Okay I know what you’re thinking about but that doesn't count.” Tao suddenly jumps in tired of us going back and forth

“Whatever, stop trying to change the subject what's going on?”

A thick silence settles over the group as Kyungsoo crosses his arms and Jongin shifts around clearly uncomfortable.

“Kyungsoo is getting mated.” What? i glance at Tao and he's making the same face

“But isn't he already mated to you?” he laughs but you could tell he wasn't amused, his laugh was filled with bitterness and betrayal

“Yeah that was my understanding too.” by the pained look on Kyungsoo’s face i could tell he noticed too

“It's not official, officially we're bonded but we haven't gone through with the rest of the ritual yet." he pauses for a second before continuing. “My pack is negotiating with another pack and to seal the deal the pack elders have decided to have me bond with a Wolf from the other pack.”

“What!” For once Tao and i were on the same page. While i sat there with my mouth wide open trying to make sense of this mess Tao was trying to sputter out something that made sense.

“They can't do that, isn't that breaking some sort of ancient wolf law.”

“It is but a lot of those laws are not followed today, Bonded mates are supposed to be left alone and out of any mating agreements.” It was then that i noticed how defeated Kyungsoo looked, tired utterly tired. It’s obvious he'd been fighting this a lot longer then he let on to Jongin. I finally got tired of standing there like an idiot, time to put a stop to this.

“Yeah~ No this isn't happening. Jongin is one of my best friends and by default so are you, I’m not gonna let someone split you two idiots up."

“But this is bigger than me, we're finally ending a feud that has been going on for generations and has taken so many lives. If this is the only way then I will go through with it.”

"But Kyungsoo “I tried to interrupt him but he was full blown ranting at this point he shook me off

“Even if it kills me inside I have to do this for the pack.” At this point Jongin jumped in to have an argument that they have seemed to have a million times

“They can find someone else! I won't just give you to them so easily.”

“I don't have a choice!” Kyungsoo suddenly raised his voice startling Tao who was now clinging to my arm; he's never been a fan of confrontation or violence. “I'm doing it....for the good of the pack.” and he just walked away. Without a look back at us or Jongin he walked away

“Kyungsoo! Get back here" i grabbed his arm. "Sehun let me go what are you doing!?”

“He needs some time to think about this and so do we.”

“What do you mean?”

“We're getting Kyungsoo out of this stupid mating thing and we're also gonna make sure the packs are on good turns after this.” I felt the grip on my arm loosen and Tao spoke since the whole argument went down

“How are gonna do that? We don't even know anything about wolfs.”

“But we know some who does.”

"We do? Who?....Why are you looking at me like that?"

-Tao Pov-

Baekhyun scares me. I'm not sure why or when this fear started but whenever he's around i feel threatened, he's done absolutely nothing to warrant my fear. If anything he's been nice, like painfully so. These past few weeks have been spent with me getting better with Jongdae and Minseok’s help along with them Training Chanyeol. Chanyeol....he seems nice i guess. If you ignore the whole ripping my throat out and turning me(Yeah I’m not gonna let that go after just one talk) He seems to keep his distance from me or as Minseok calls it he's "Giving me Space". Whatever, maybe he should have thought about that before he decided to rip my throat out.

"Tao are you okay?" I look up at Baekhyun's apartment door.

"Tao are yo-"

"Yeah I’m fine Sehun." I notice Sehun and Jongin shrug their shoulders, i decide that I’ve wasted enough time and knock on the door. i hear a soft come in from the other side of the door. Twisting the door knob we walk into Baekhyun and Chanyeol's home. This is the first time I’ve been here and all i can say is that it's honestly not what i expected. Looking around i notice that the man in question isn't anywhere to be seen

“Hey Baekhyun are you here?”

“Yeah in the kitchen.”

Walking into the kitchen i notice there are splashes of color all around the room. i see Baekhyun stirring something in a pot. Dear god I’m starving. Baekhyun finally looks up from what he's doing and flashes us all a bright smile. huh~ i feel a shiver go down my spine

“So~ what do you guys need?”

“Why are you assuming we need anything?”
“Why else would you come to talk to me, Chanyeol isn't here.”

“Hey we...talk to each other.” The only response i get out of him is a raised eyebrow “Okay so not really but still!” he just shoots me with another of his bright smiles and waves me off

“It's okay Tao, just tell me what you need help with.” Jongin seems to notice my unease with just embarrassing myself so he decides to take the lead.

“Well...how much do you know about Werewolf’s?” sees there we go again with that eyebrow, only this time he seemed to be worried

“Quite a bit why? Jongin are you okay?”

“Yeah....No...Well” Sehun pushes Jongin and i out of the way when he steps forward

“Dear God if it was up to them we'd be here all day. What do you know about Wolfs and their mating rituals specifically Bonded wolfs?” Baekhyun suddenly claps his hands together and does some sort of twirl as he points towards the back of his house.

“Ooh~ That's something that I took a special liking too when I first started writing, follow me to my cave of dreams.” i cannot tell a lie i swear you could hear crickets. Baekhyun seems to be a bit peeved by our response and for the first time in a while i see him without a smile on his face “My Library you idiots.”

“Oh”

“Why didn't you just say so?”

“This Hyung is weird.”

Baekhyun walks off with the boys behind him mumbling about brats with no manners, or imagination. The library is freaking huge, well huge as an apartment library could be. It seems to be a two bedroom apartment but if one room is used for the library i guess they both sleep in the other....Damn i owe Sehun 50 bucks. Baekhyun is dragging his finger along a section of books before seeming to find what he's looking for. “Ah here it is, this book has everything I know about wolves and mating, just find whatever chapter you’re looking for and search.”

“Thank you!” as i reach for the book he suddenly yanks it back with a serious look on his face

“It'll be thirty bucks. ”You’ve got to me ting me

“WHAT!!”He bursts out laughing.

“I’m just ing with you, but it was funny right.” he finally stops and wipes a few tears from the side of his eye when he notices none of us were laughing with him “Okay maybe not but hey I laughed.”...... “Just take the book and leave, if you guys have any more questions you can call me!”

-Sehun Pov-

We arrived at a small park by my house before sitting down on a bench.

"Okay let's see, Infection? No. Transformation? No. Wolf Form? No. Traits and Temperament? No. Bonded, Unbonded, and Soul bound? Yes!”

“Stop yelling and give it here.”

“I found it first.” Dear lord are you serious

"Will both of you shut up and just hand it here.” snatching the book away from the idiots i began to read out loud so everyone could hear

BONDED, UNBONDED AND SOULBONDED

Wild wolves are naturally monogamous creatures who mate for life. Werewolves are only half wolf, and so while some become very selective, exclusive lovers, others are more polygamous. This often depends on their human lifestyle.

A Bonded werewolf mates for life. Once they find someone, they are with them forever or until their lover dies. Some werewolves recover slowly from such a death and move on, but others remain permanently attached for the rest of their lives and never search out someone else.

Unbonded werewolves come in two varieties. Most unbonded wolves fall in the 'normal' range of human relationship behavior, while the Unbonded ones (distinguished by the capital letter) have very open policies concerning and relationships. They generally do not mess in the love lives of Bonded werewolves, though some are callous enough to do so.

Werewolves may also Soulbond which is a little different from the other two categories. Werewolves may feel the need to soulbond to another as an expression of their loyalty and devotion. Consider it a spiritual marriage of souls. Two wolves who deliberately exchange blood become soulbonded. They also typically exchange small trinkets, to act as a conduit to ground the soulbond connection. These trinkets are often kept on the werewolf's person at all times, and removal of the object can result in a soulbond 'tearing'. Soulbonded werewolves can hear each other's thoughts, feel each other's pain and, ultimately, they will die whenever the other does. Simultaneously.

Soulbonds are incredibly rare. Werewolves estimate only about three to five happen within a decade.

After i was done reading a heavy silence hung in the air around us, the only thing that could be heard was the sounds of the world around us.

“Woah that's some heavy stuff.” for once i could agree with Tao

“Yeah. So wait which ones are you guys?” not sure if he heard me the first time i waved my hand in his face.

“We're Bonded but a Bond can be broken by an Apha in a special ceremony.”

“What about a Soulbond?”

“What about it?”

“Why don't you guys get Soubound?”

“That's a great idea!” there half of our problem was solved now we just need to solve the pack probl-

“Jongin what's with that look on your face, don't you want to be with him?” hearing what Tao was saying Jongin did look a little hesitant.

“I do but....what if he has a better life with the other wolf, I mean come on he's the next alpha of his pack and I’m just....me” oh come on, he's not getting cold feet now is he.

“Kim Jongin you better stop this right now! What is wrong with you! What happened to your fire! You’re just going to give up on Kyungsoo like that!? So you really don't love him then.”

“I do!”

“No you don't if you loved someone you would fight for them, he feels like he has no choice in this matter. Take one for the pack. That's how werewolfs work Jongin, it's a pack mentality.” it was sudden like a light bulb went off in his head, Jonging grabbed me by my shoulders.

“Wait so the problem here isn't there bonding, so much as it is the pack.”

“What are you suggesting?” what was Jonging thinking?

“We kill the entire pack?” What the hell!

“What! No Tao what the hell is wrong with you.” Jongin is of course the one to voice his concern and Tao had the audacity to look offended

“Woah don't look at me like that like you weren't thinking it.”

“Yeah but you said it.” I’m surrounded by idiots

“Enough you two psycho, God. We need to fix what is going on between the two packs and maybe this new alpha is the key. Now I doubt he really wants to mate with someone that he doesn't know, he's most likely doing it for his pack just like Kyungsoo. Maybe we can get him a mate, and it'll be a plus if it's someone that is in Kyungsoo's pack. Kill two birds with one stone.”

“So we're playing match maker.”

“Essentially yes and since the ceremony is a few days we don't have much time. Now listen here's the plan.”
