Silence, Cocoa and learning about happiness.
Breathe.
“Coffee?”
She thought as glanced at the deadpan-expressionless- guy sitting at the service desk. Still no name.
“Hmm…something stronger perhaps… “
She continuously opened up several cupboard doors immediately closing them upon not finding what it was she was searching for.
“Ah-ha!”
She silently cheered as she grabbed her favourite brand of hot chocolate and began to make two cups. People always wondered why hot chocolate was more effective on her energy levels than coffee. She had no idea and just came to the conclusion that she was a weird exception to the rule. Her parents had always told her to stay away from strangers. She sighed upon noticing once again that yes, she had invited a man, who she assumed was drunk last night and was now experiencing a hangover and perhaps memory loss.
"Great Dara..." She placed two mugs on the counter. Kittens for her and puppies for him.
"...Your parents would be soo thrilled at the situation..."
She glanced at him for the nth time to check if he were real. And he was, she acknowledged as she stirred his cocoa into the heated milk. He was indeed real and yet, he gave off the aura that he wasn’t. If it wasn’t for the rising of his chest she would have though he was a robot. Or better yet, a mannequin that she’d have no protest in showcasing her designs. She shouldn’t have invited him in but just like herself, there was always an exception to the rule.
“I hope you don’t mind but I used 2 scoops of cocoa.” She gave him a small smile.
She placed the mug before him giving it a last stir before setting down in the seat opposite him with her mug between her hands.
“I do have coffee, but well, I just thought cocoa would be better for you. It helps me have more of an energy boost.” She clamped shut as she held his stare. Her nickname, was “Dara the chatter” and though she loved to talk she wasn’t sure if she wanted to now.
