Internet FriendsA few days later, Jo was grocery shopping when she bumped into Jiwon with her cart. Literally.
“Oh my God neo-moo chae-so-ham-nee-da!” she cried as he rubbed his shins. I’m so sorry!
“Ani kwaen-cha-na-yo,” he said, straightening up and seeing whom he was dealing with. To his surprise, it was the girl from a few days ago. It’s all good.
“Hwak-shil-ae?” she asked, concerned as she looked into his eyes. You sure?
“Absolutely,” he answered with a grin, “Hey, you’re the one from the convenience store. The one who hugged Hanbin. Jo right?”
Her eyes widened because of his sudden use of English, but she smiled. “Yeah, that’s me,” she said, “I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself at the time.”
“No, no, don’t worry about it,” Jiwon replied, “Jinhwan and I just talked about you—”
“What was your name?” she interrupted.
“Oh , my bad, it’s Jiwon. Or Bobby. Whichever you prefer,” he answered.
“Ah, okay,” she said with a twinkle in her eyes.
“…What?”
“Oh no, it’s nothing,” she said mischievously, walking away with her cart.
“No, wait, hold on a second,” Bobby said, halting her cart with his hand, “What?”
“It’s just that Hanbin has told me a lot about you guys, but I don’t know your faces,” she explained sheepishly, “And I’m not really into the mainstream Korean music scene, so I’m not curious enough to Google your group.”
“Oh really?” he asked, intrigued, “So what has he said about me?”
“Sorry,” she said, miming her lips being sealed but still smiling, “I’m not that kind of person.”
“Neither is Hanbin apparently,” he replied, cocking his head to the side.
Her smile faltered. “So you don’t know who I am at all?”
He shook his head, eyeing her carefully.
“Oh,” she said, a little saddened, but then slightly shook herself and smiled again, “Well, you can get to know me now then!”
Jiwon laughed, “I’m down.”
“Good,” she said with smiling eyes, “We’ll have to multitask though, ‘cause I’m not done shopping.”
“Let’s do it,” he replied with a determined nod.
Now it was her turn to laugh, and they started to walk and talk.

“So you’re a bartender?”
Jo smiled. “Yup, at Club Answer in Gangnam.”
“How can you say that you’re not into the Korean music scene then?”
She shook her head as she went to grab a bag of pasta off the grocery store shelf. “I said I’m not into the mainstream Korean music scene,” she emphasized, “Besides, Club Answer only really plays electronic, house, techno music, which is more my style.
“I appreciate hip hop and rap though,” she continued before Bobby could interrupt, putting the bag of pasta in the cart he was now pushing, “I watched clips of the season of Show Me The Money you and Hanbin were on and I was impressed. I even downloaded all of your guys’s songs.”
Bobby tried to hide his pride, but failed miserably. “Why thank you,” he said, grinning.
