HIS STORY 

~ 9:15 a.m

yonghwa opened the door to his office and went toward his luxurious desk , he sat down and relaxed his back on the leather seat gazing out of the clear windows that allowed numerous rays of sunlight into his office .. 

he clenched on his teeth in frustration and extended his hand to open his desk drawer , reaching out for a blue file inside and placed it in front of him .. flipping few pages and stopping at a specific page - pouring his whole attention reading it over and over .. 

( the patient went into cardiac arrest at 3:00 a.m due to ventricular arrhythmia , the team performed electric shock and epinephrine , and he came back 5 minuets later ) 

yonghwa tapped his fingers on the desk endlessly , mentally working hard on solving the puzzle before he really end up losing his patient , he never lost one before and he hated to have his first loss in the time being , when he's in need for every recommendation ..
 
he got even more irritated when he mentally flashed back that arrogant trainee making fun of his skills in front of everyone a while earlier ! 

his builded up anger was interrupted by his vibrating phone , he reached for it from his pocket and checked out the caller 

Mrs. Jung ... 

he swallowed a full gulp to clear his voice before he picks up the call 

" hello , Doctor " 

" it's your last chance yonghwa , you have to meet professor Paul this year to get your chance in Paris unviersity , he chooses only married candidate so you better be married by that time " his mother ordered with a fluent French accent , although he understood what she meant verbally but he wasn't able to catch up with all those shocking urgent demands  

" i'm not even married , D.. " 

" STOP talking back in Korean !! " his mother shouted in French freezing the blood in his vessels  

softly he took a breath and lowered his tone talking in French " i know it's my last chance but ... " 

" NO buts , you have no future in korea , end your work there and come here quickly " she shouted louder and ended the call 

yonghwa clenched his teeth trying to get a control over his anger as he slid the phone on the desk .. 

he had been trying to get the position in paris university hospital for the past year but now there's a marriage requirement too !!
 it's not like he really wanted to be in paris just like how he never wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon , but he needed to fulfill his mother expectations and demands no matter what ! 

however getting married for such a reason didn't make sense , it puzzled him why would that professor ask for married candidate in the first place ! 

yonghwa grumbled in anger almost exploding , he slammed a flat hand on the desk 

" take it easy man !! what's wrong " jonghyun said after he entered the office without a knock , he noticed yonghwa's pitiful state but didn't really get affected since for him yonghwa has always been living his own drama 

yonghwa sighed and got over his anger spell when he saw jonghyun , the only friend he got or had to get !! 

friendships never mattered in yonghwa's life so he never reached out for anyone until jonghyun reached out for him 

it was always a mystery for yonghwa how he ended up as friends with jonghyun when they're different almost in everything , the complete opposite of each other .. jonghyun was a plastic surgeon who lived each moment of his life to the fullest 

" omma called " yonghwa drooped his shoulders in exhaustion , mental exhaustion 

" eh ! she noticed your birthday for this year ! that's a first " 
jonghyun teased fully knowing that yonghwa's mother will never care , not even if she heard the end of the world started with korea , she'll never call to make sure he's alive 

in a sort of anger management , yonghwa passed his fingers through his hair and avoided jonghyun's face for the moment 

" so why did she call ? " jonghyun asked seriously this time 

" it's my last chance , i need to be the next candidate for paris hospital's surgeon " 

" your skills are no joke hyung , they will be amazed by you .. you're the best here " 

" i got that , but i need to get married .. and quickly " yonghwa said the words and instantly felt his tongue getting heavier , what he just said was surely a hell crazy line ! 

" you are only 34 ! i would have understood if you wanted to suicide but getting married is worse ! " jonghyun stared at yonghwa checking out his sanity 

" marriage is a must to get the position " 

jonghyun frowned in suspicion " that's a weird requirement ! why would the professor .. " 

 " i don't even know ! and i don't care ! " yonghwa huffed , the despair tinging his voice 
he stood from his leather seat to walk toward the window 

jonghyun chewed on his lip and knowing what kind of yonghwa is ; he was sure yonghwa was already thinking of some way to get married and quickly ! he never gave up on a chance to be more successful 

" just marry anyone and give her money so she'll keep quiet " 

" it's not that easy , i need to marry at least a doctor and for at least 6 months or so, that all will be recorded in my C.V , no female doctor will ever accept such a contracted marriage "

" yeah seriously no sane female doctor here would stand you " he mocked 

yonghwa glared at him threatening " i don't want to use violence with you " 

jonghyun giggled and suggested " then why don't you use a doctor, let her fall in love with you , she'll marry you in no time and then leave her later " 

" make her fall for me then i'll have to handle that headache for the rest of my life !! "  yonghwa denied the idea seriously , he admits he could do awful things to accomplish his success , but surely not as awful as getting entangled with the complicated women species ! 

jonghyun laughed out loud and reached for a cigarette from his pocket , he lit it and held it between his lips swiftly as he talked " it's not like you're that charming either yonghwa , she could fall for your face or your money but never for your freezing cold heart " 

" if you weren't the one talking ! you're completely overused by women ! " yonghwa rolled his eyes 

" so what ! i use them , they use me , it's mutual and everyone is happy " jonghyun smirked and laid on the couch shutting his eyes to take a nap 

yonghwa saw junghyun's reflection on the window glass , stretching and laying down nonchalantly on his couch ! 
he turned around abruptly and frowned " yah , don't sleep on my couch ! " 

" i heard that you made a scene with that trainee in the ward this morning too , it's a pity that i wasn't there to watch " jonghyun murmured with his eyes closed 

yonghwa took a studding steps , his muscles twitching in anger as he threatened seriously " JUNGHYUN ! i swear if you ever fall asleep on my couch ... " 

jonghyun chuckled and opened his eyes to get a good scene of his friend losing his temper.. being friends for over eight years he knew how much yonghwa hated sharing anything with other people not even emotions let aside his personal items 

" i don't know why does she even hate you .. or wait ! who does even like you around here ! "

" stop talking about her already ! " yonghwa snapped and walked toward the door intending to leave 

" i heard that she wasn't accepted into the cardiothoracic department after all .. is that your doing ? " jonghyun asked seriously 

yonghwa shrugged " do you think i would have given her that much attention ! " 

jonghyun narrowed his eyes unconvinced " NANA wasn't even in the ranking list not among the first 500 at least , so how ? " 

" thanks to her grandpa influence , she got the department residency directly from Prof.Han without a sweat drop " yonghwa replied nonchalantly 

" come onnnnn , yonghwa ! i know that you're Prof.Han in disguise " 

" when i return back i don't want to see you here " yonghwa said and opened the door 

" poor girl , what is she going to do now ! i thought she never wanted anything as much as getting into your department " 

" don't worry about that cunning woman , she will find her way " he said and went out 

jonghyun smirked " right , there's always a way "

1:00 a.m ~

yonghwa parked his red porsche car in front of his two floor house .. 
making his way toward the door and entering the passcode
there was a peep of confirmation so he pushed the heavy wooden door open .. 

he slid his hand against the wall and the whole house lights were on , it didn't make a huge difference because the illumination design itself was dim and dark 

closing the door behind him , he walked echoing steps toward the kitchen , the deserted big house made even the slightest sounds accentuated , just like a spacious cave dim and echoing ..

arriving the black marble designed kitchen , he reached and opened the fridge .. he took a glance inside and wasn't that surprised when he found nothing but a few beer cans , he took out a can and sat on the kitchen bar .. glaring at the empty other two seats beside him and wondering why did he even buy them if no one will
