'MIRAI'S PICNIC REQUEST'

In this story, Ryosuke and Mirai are married. They have been husband and wife for a while. Ryosuke is still busy as ever as a Johnny's super idol. Meanwhile, Mirai is a demanding wife who really loves to get spoilt by her obedient husband. This fic was inspired by a Yamashi edited picture by nova-chan and aemrith.

Mirai: Honey, let's have a picnic some time. We haven't been going on a date lately (smiles sweetly)

Ryosuke: Honey, I'm sorry. My works are so packed lately. Maybe next time when I'm a bit free?

Mirai: (pouts) Isn't there any way you can ask for a little break? A short vacation?

Ryosuke: You do know the old man Johnny is not gonna let me have one

Mirai: Why not? 

Ryosuke: It can't be helped. It was part of the deal back then. He allowed me to marry you as long as I still commit myself to prioritize my service to the fans

Mirai: (pouts even more) It's so unfair! (stomps her feet, went to their room while slamming the door behind)

Ryosuke: (scratches his head) Oh boy...

Mirai: (stays quiet, lays on a sleeping position, backfacing Ryosuke)

Ryosuke: (gets flustered) Aw man, my wife is sulking at me, this is bad

Mirai: Why isn't he responding to my sulking. Shouldn't he start to sweet talk me out of it?!

The room was silence. The ticking of the room clock was the only sound that echoed through it

A few minutes later....

Ryosuke: (pokes Mirai's shoulder) Mirai-chan~

Mirai: Stop touching me! (Inner Mirai: yosha! I'm gonna prank him with this!)

Ryosuke: (scratches his cheek) Etto.... are you mad?

Mirai: No!

Ryosuke: See.... you are mad....

Mirai: Whatever!

Ryosuke: Can't you try understanding me a little? You do know I'm still a superstar

Mirai: Am I supposed to be impressed by that?!

Ryosuke: (Inner Ryosuke: Geez... this woman...) That wasn't my point, honey...

Mirai: (secretly holds back a smile)

Ryosuke: Look, I'll give you a choice. Either you wait patiently for around two months, then we go on a picnic, or.... we go on a picnic tomorrow, and I cancel my job

Mirai: (turns her head back, no longer able to hold back her smile) Can I really choose the second one?

Ryosuke: Yup

Mirai: But you said you can't even ask for a break at all?

Ryosuke: I can work that out

Mirai: Really?

Ryosuke: Yeah. I can take a break. Forever

Mirai: (astonished) EEH?! Why?

Ryosuke: Well, you pretty much understand how my Jimusho works, you should also understand my position. My schedules for the next two months are packed. If I suddenly cancel on a job, Grandpa Johnny will not be pleased, scold me for life, and eventually fire me

Mirai: (speechless)

Ryosuke: I don't mind getting fired from being an idol, as long as I can make my Mirai-chan happy (Inner Ryosuke: Please plead me not to quit, please!) 

Mirai: (eyes dwelled with tears) I'm really touched, honey...

Ryosuke: (jumps in joy inside, but tries his best to stay cool) So? What will be your choice?

Mirai: (hugs Ryosuke) There's no need for you to quit. I don't mind if we don't go on a picnic for now. I know how much you love your work, so I'm going to budge this time

Ryosuke: (inner Ryosuke: YESS!) So.... you're gonna be okay if we don't go on a picnic yet?

Mirai: (still hugging Ryosuke tightly) Uhn (nods)

Ryosuke: (face brightens with joy) Thank you honey~

Then their room light finally went off

The next day...

Mirai: Honey, does this mean we can finally go on a picnic two months from now?

Ryosuke: (nods as he munches on his food)

Mirai: Yay~ (eyes glinted with excitement) Then I want our first destination to be Bali!

Ryosuke: Okay

Mirai: Then we'll go shopping for a bit in Singapore. Then we head back to Tokyo to put all our stuff and souvenirs we bought, then we'll head straight to Paris, okay? I want to take a picture with you right in front of the Eiffel tower (hugs herself dreamily) It's gonna be super romantic~ Right, honey?

Ryosuke: (silently counts on the travelling budget to himself)

Mirai: Then we'll shop again in Paris! I bet there's gonna be a fashion week in Paris two months from now! There's this clothing line I've been craving for, and I think it only costs around two thousand--

Ryosuke: Two thousands yen... heh.... that's piece of cake

Mirai: --US dollar!

Ryosuke: (eyes widen in shock)

Mirai: Then we'll head straight to Africa~

Ryosuke: (sweatdrops)

Mirai continuously blabber on her picnic planning, while Ryosuke continues to sweat uncontrollably

Ryosuke: Oh boy... where should I ask for a loan again this time?
