"Madam?"

The short, chipmunk-like man known as Manager Kim came timidly walking into the lounge, head bowed and a tablet clutched in his hands. The lady of the house and female half of Opal Cosmetics, cut her sentence short and turned to the man.

"What is it, Minseok?" she asked, setting her tea cup gently on the coffee table. I noted how regal and patient she was even with the circumstances of her life and having just been quite rudely interrupted while in the middle of an important conversation. For the 20 minutes that I had known her, I had already mentally taken her actions and applied them to myself. Would I have to be this gentle, patient, and lady-like when I married her son? Assumingly, I did.

Manager Kim cleared his throat and bowed to my family, murmuring an apology for interrupting our meeting, and held up the tablet. "Young Mr. Oh was caught . . ." His eyes drifted towards me as he trailed off but Mrs. Choi urged him to continue despite my parents watching in full interest. The man cleared his throat and started again. "Sehun was at fellow classmate's . . . social affair last night and gossip website Celebrity Handle caught wind of it and followed him there."

Mrs. Choi reached for her teacup again, taking her time in sipping from it, closing her eyes, breathing in and then out, and setting the teacup back down. "What did he do this time?" she finally asked after a much too long silence. I could see the tips of her ears turning red. She was burning with hidden anger. I would soon come to admire her for being able to control such burning hot emotions.

"The photographer for Celebrity Handle reported and captured several photos of Sehun playing beer pong, those photos of which she released, before his intoxication diminished what little judgement he has and he began . . . streaking through the neighborhood at around four this morning, after which he dove into the pool of an unknown family's neighboring house. The police were then called but the situation was handled on-site by a few of the party-goers. The photographer, known by her penname Minka, has been contacted by Lawyer Kim and said she will gladly destroy the remaining photos of Sehun for a total of ten thousand dollars." He paused for a moment and tacked on, "she wants the money by mid-morning on Tuesday or she'll release the photos."

My parents were more horrified than I was. To me, having been reading Oh Sehun's scandals for years, this was really nothing, it was normal. I wasn't surprised in the least except for the amount of money the photographer wanted. Was that a normal amount? Did the Ohs dish out that much money on a regular basis to shield their son from getting even worse press? If so, I couldn't blame them for resulting in a marriage to try and clean his imagine up even if only a tiny bit.

"Contact Mr. Oh and relay the message to him. Tell Lawyer Kim to remain silent in the mean time. If we tick that photographer off, there's no telling what she might do," Mrs. Choi instructed calmly, folding her hands in her lap. Before Manager Kim could take off though, she stopped him. "It's well past four in the afternoon so I assume my son is awake by now. Make your calls and then bring him some pain killers and water then bring him back here. I have someone I'd like for him to meet." Her eyes zeroed in on me as the last words left and she smiled almost as if she were proud.

When Manager Kim finally left, looking a little frazzled, Mrs. Choi returned to friendly conversation with my parents as if nothing had happened between the time her sentence had been cut shut and Manager Kim leaving. I guess after so many years of dealing with her troublesome child, it became easy to recover and continue like she hadn't just been humilated by the fruit of her being. The conversation didn't last long however before she got bored and cut to the chase, something I appreciated.

"Although my husband asked me to not discuss the contract and marriage outside of a formal meeting and in his presence, I can tell you that the final version of the contract is being printed and, coincidentally, will be available to sign as soon as Tuesday morning." Again, as she finished her last sentence she looked to me. "Yebin, I'm afraid I've not said much to you have I? I must ask you a question though."

The eyes of my parents, now hesitant and a little fearful, were trained on the side of my face as I nodded, urging Mrs. Choi to continue.

"You didn't appear to be surprised when Manager Kim informed us all of my son's doings last night. I couldn't help but notice and wonder why."

A small but smug smile tried to surface but I smothered it. "With all due respect, Madam, I'm more than aware of how much of a scandalous person your son is. I'm pretty sure I know a lot more than my parents do."

"And yet you still came to this meeting?" The lady of the house cocked a perfectly shaped eyebrow. Sehun had indeed inheritated her good looks.

"Again, with all due respect, I'm more worried about losing my rightful inheritance to Park Bottling Company than I am about marrying an over-priviledged manchild who sticks it in the first female who walks by him on a night out."

My mother gasped. "Yebin—"

"If marrying your son can benefit both of our families, then I'm willing to sacrifice."

Besides my parents horrified glances, the only response I got was another sip of tea before a loud cluster of footsteps came from the entrance and two grown men stumbled in. Mrs. Choi set her teacup aside and smiled.

"Good to see you're still alive, Sehun," she said while Manager Kim pretty much dragged the blonde male clad in black jeans and a grey t-shirt over to the couch next to his mother. He grumbled something about the light before covering his face with a throw pillow. After so many years of seeing his face on magazines and tabloids, I couldn't help but feel disappointed that even hungover, he looked exceedingly handsome in person. The tousled and uncombed hair and purposely ragged clothes made it all the more attractive.

My mother started rise from the couch, looking a little like she was about to make a run for it. "Madam Choi, we appreciate your time and we'll be sure to contact you further about—"

Mrs. Choi waved her hand airly about. "No need. I've made my decision and I think my husband will be more than pleased with it," she declared. With a firm clap, she patted her son's leg and snatched his pillow away. "Sehun, sit up straight and greet your fiancé and future in-laws."

This time my father sputtered and Sehun looked as hor
