Transformation
(NOT A) PERFECT GIRLYou were already sleeping when Shownu and Changkyun played video game in living room. They played silently, focusing their eyes on the screen. The only sound that could be heard were the clicks on controller and video game BGM. They didn't interact much, but they had something in common in their head. You.
After minutes of silence, the maknae initiated a conversation.
“Hyung.”
“Eoh?” Shownu replied without diverting his focus from the screen.
“What do you think… about Hyungwon hyung?”
“Hyungwon,eh?” he let out a sigh, “Molla.”
“What do you mean?”
“I feel weird about it. Don’t you see? Hyungwon and Yoora didn't interact much, but suddenly became a couple. I’m afraid he’s just playing with her heart.”
“Brother’s instinct, huh?” Changkyun chuckled. “But I think noona is sharp enough to sense insincerity.”
“Nah,” Shownu shook his head. “She's bright in solving problem, but can be naive and gullible sometimes.”
“Just like you, hyung?” the younger one teased. Shownu paused the game to give a smack on his head, while Changkyun just laughed it off. “I’m just kidding, geez…”
Shownu continued the game, breathing out, “I hope Hyungwon is serious with her. If he makes my sister cry, I’ll be the one who gives him a lesson.”
“I’ll gladly help you then.”
“What?”
“Nevermind.”
It felt weird at first; you were afraid that Hyungwon was just playing with your feelings, but his actions showed you the total opposite. He was a sweet boyfriend who pampered you with affection. He initiated skinships, sometimes being show off in front of the others. He showered you with cute gifts – dress, flowers, plushies, dress – has it mentioned before? Like any other girls, you liked to be spoiled, but you thought they were too much. You hadn't worn the dress yet; it was not because you hated the dress, but you were not confident to wear one.
You were walking past the boys’ room when you overheard conversation between Hyungwon and Wonho. You had no intention to eavesdrop but it got interesting when Wonho mentioned about “ideal type”.
“I hope you won’t take it personally, but I don’t think that she’s your ideal type,” that was Wonho’s voice.
“Ah… you remember when I confessed my ideal type in front of you guys, huh?”
“Yeah, I thought you’ll be interested in a girly, soft-spoken, cute, non-idol girl. Non-idol? Okay, she qualified that one. Cute? Yes, she is, but girly? Soft-spoken? I don’t think so. She dressed like a boy, and man… she curses a lot.”
“I can deal with it,” Hyungwon replied. “I bought her dresses but she hasn’t worn any of them, yet.”
“Are you trying to change her?” Wonho laughed. “What’s inside your head, dude? I’m not sure it will work.”
“Just see,” Hyungwon chuckled. “Ugh I want to grab something to drink. Do you want something?”
You heard his footsteps. “Damn,” you muttered and ran to your room, closing the door behind you. A sigh escaped from your lungs, “girly girl, huh?”
You looked at your reflection on a mirror, tilting your head. For the first time in your life, insecurity hit you hard. Wonho’s opinion hit you like a truck, and yeah, you looked like you’ve just being hit by a truck. Your messy bun was literally messy; your bare face looked horrible with dark circles around your eyes from staying up late to meet your deadlines. You were wearing a hideous brown sweater that looked like Ron Weasley’s Chri
