(Jimin’s P.O.V)

“Thanks for coming here with me on a weekend, Jimin.”

“I-it’s actually my pleasure to accompany you, Yoongi-hyung.” I smiled shyly at Yoongi-hyung as I sat down beside him. I was really shocked, to say the least, when he called me last night. I don’t know how my heart didn’t crash because of it because I could already feel it bursting out of my chest at this very moment. Just how can Yoongi-hyung affect me this much?

I mean, I haven’t even been able to recover yet from the music room incident yet. And then he decides to call me late in the night just to ask me to accompany him on a good Saturday outing.

“Yeoboseyo~”

“Yeoboseyo, Jiminie!~” Yoongi-hyung sounds strangely cheerful.

People would not have guessed that he would be like this if they see him in person. He just looked like a laid-back guy with an ‘I-don’t-really-give-a-’ attitude to begin with.

“Oh. Hello, Yoongi-hyung.” I tried to talk to him with the same cheerful tone that he has. I just couldn’t help but be deaf with the drumming of my own heart. If it wasn’t such an obvious thing now.

I heard him chuckle, making my heart double its beatings. “You home already?”

“U-uh… Yeah. I got home safely. Did you call me j-just to c-check if I’m o-okay?” I stuttered so much as I asked that question that I would’ve slapped myself in embarrassment because of his question. I mean why would he waste the perfect time to sleep just to check up on me?

He didn’t answer for a while. “U-uhm… ahhh… I just want to be sure that you got home s-safely… t-that’s all… I wouldn’t want Jin-hyung to kill me if anything bad did happen to you and your friend, Taehyung.” Yoongi-hyung also stuttered, which I found really cute. He’s such a tsundere. He isn’t really that good at showing his emotions.

Silence filled the phone line, it was so silent that the only thing I could hear was his breathing and the continuous drumming of my heart that wildly went ‘thump thump thump’.

“Are you still there?” We amusingly said in unison. We couldn’t help but share a laugh at what just happened.

“Can I ask you a favor, Jiminie? I know that I’ve already asked one today, but can I still ask you again?” Yoongi-hyung’s tone suddenly sounded sort of tensed.

“Mmm… S-sure, that wouldn’t really be a problem. What is it?”

Yoongi-hyung cleared his throat before saying what he would like to ask me. “Would you like to… Uh… Come to watch a play with me tomorrow?” he said while still stuttering for a little bit.

I was dazed for a moment then I snapped out of it after a while. “Like a-a d-date…. Ah… I m-mean a friendly b-bonding?”

“A-ah, yeah… I m-mean not a d-date thingy… I-I j-just… w-want to k-know how a p-play w-would be… Yeah. That’s it. I was just actually curious since I haven’t watched one before.” I swallowed hard to get rid the unknown thing lumping on my throat.

“I-I know…” Awkwardness was building up between us so I had to finish this quickly. “A-and…. Sure… I would actually love t-to go w-watch a play with you…”

“R-really? Thanks!” The strange enthusiasm was back on his tone once again. I am beginning to imagine that gummy smile of his and how his eyes brightened whenever he would smile like that. He must’ve looked really adorable in person.

Another minute of silence passed between us. I cleared my throat. “U-uh, I-I should go right now. I’ll s-see you tomorrow?”

“Neh, I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ll wait for you inside the theatre, Araso?” He said cheerfully.

“Araso, bye bye~” I tried to say cutely to relieve some awkwardness that built up between us. Though I honestly believe that it didn’t work out.

I heard him laugh on the other line.”Aegyo! Your ‘bye, bye’ was so good. I wish I saw your cute smile along with that.”

I felt my face grow hot with his statement. Does he really think that my smile is great? “T-thanks… I guess.”

“Bye bye” Yoongi-hyung copied the cutesy tone that I used making me giggle in return. “Turn the call off first.”

“Eeehh? You turn it off first.”
