"Everyone get in your places!"

"Ow who kicked me in the shin?!"

"Ow what the heck did I kicked?!"

"Guys be quiet!"

"They're coming they're coming!"

"Shh!"

They heard a familiar voice and the door to the balcony opening, signaling Woohyun to turn on the outdoor lights and everyone else to pull poppers.

"Welcome to Infinite Sungjong-ah!" all of them cheered but didn't see the newbie anywhere except their dumbfounded but happy manager standing there.

"You guys spooked him," their manager sighed before turning around to a small boy who was hiding behind his back, "Come on, there's nothing but your soon-to-be hyungs pulling a surprise party on you."

Said hyungs stared at the boy a bit before crowding around him. Sungjong obviously panicked as he started blinking in a confused manner and jolted whenever someone exclaimed something.

"Are you sure he's a boy? He's really pretty!" Dongwoo commented.

"How old is he? 18?" Sunggyu asked the manager to make sure.

As Myungsoo's hyungs crowded around the boy and started questioning the manager he couldn't help but stare at the boy's eyes. He didn't know why, but it honestly seemed like his eyes shined brighter in the darkness of the night.

It was now a week after Sungjong had joined Infinite. Their new maknae still seemed very uncomfortable and always stuttered whenever one of the members approached him.

Today was their photoshoot to signal their upcoming debut in the K-Pop world.

Right now, it was Sungjong's turn to take his photos as they stood behind the camera and watched.

"Will the kid be fine? He should be fine by now..." Hoya murmured worriedly as the shutters and bright lights signalled the beginning of the maknae's photoshoot.

"I don't know, are we doing something wrong?" Dongwoo sighed.

"You did say that he was a pretty girl," Myungsoo pointed out.

"I said he was pretty, not a girl," Dongwoo protested.

"But you implied that he's prettier than a girl," Sungyeol pointed out with a smirk, "Meaning you did say that he's a pretty girl!"

"What?! No! But- huh???" the dino was suddenly extremely confused.

"Not now guys, it's obvious that he's a boy, end of discussion," Sunggyu huffed.

"How can you tell with those nonexistent eyes of yours?" Woohyun grinned as Sungyeol strained a laugh.

"WTF YOU DUMB TREE!" Sunggyu yelled, obviousy still annoyed about the eye teasing.

Myungsoo suddenly heard a faint giggle and turned around to see Sungjong smiling and laughing for once, making everyone in the room stop and stare at him with wide eyes.

"OMO YOU LAUGHED!" Dongwoo shouted with glee as the others ran to him and started yelling at him for not laughing sooner.

He didn't know why his heart skipped a beat at the sight of the laughing boy.

"L-hyung... do you hate me or something?" to which said boy stared at him in bewilderment. He honestly didn't expect such a question right after their Come Back Again dance practice.

"What? No! Why do you even think that?!" Myungsoo couldn't help but shout in surprise.

"Well it's like you try to ignore me as much as you can when everyone else is comfortable with me now," Sungjong pouted- and man did Myungsoo wanted to smack his chest when his heart skipped a beat again.

The visual reached over and patted the boy's head, "No, I like you just as much as the others. Do you want me to pamper you like a cat in order for you to understand?"

To which the maknae couldn't help but laugh, "What? L-hyung that's weird!"

"C'mon you two! We need to head back to the dorm to eat some dinner now!" Sunggyu yelled from the other side of the door.

"Okay okay!" Sungjong yelled back before walking over to the door.

When Myungsoo didn't follow, the maknae turned around and smiled, "Come on L-hyung! Before we get nagged at more!"

As the door closed, the visual wondered how his hair is always on point. He also couldn't help but curse the day his chest started tightening at the sight of the smiling boy; that was the only reason why he tried avoiding him.

By the Be Mine era, Myungsoo couldn't help but accept that he likes Sungjong... half-ish. There were just some awkward moments here and there where he denied certain moments where he found the maknae cute or lovable... which was everyday.

They were definitely more comfortable with each other as shown at a fanmeeting.

"Fanservice L-hyung, fanservice!" Sungjong smiled as he held up his left hand that formed half of a heart.

Myungsoo blinked at it before finishing the heart with his right hand as Sungjong smiled towards a camera. He couldn't help but tease Sungjong as he closed up on him and Sungjong widened his eyes along with a face that said 'what you wanna go?'

"What? No kiss?" Myungsoo teased.

"Of course not!" Sungjong laughed back.

Then the maknae back by trying to zip down his vest. He grabbed his hand and stopped him from doing so and tried to kiss him again, making Sungjong laugh again as he backed away.

Definitely cute.

Somewhere, during between the Destiny and Last Romeo eras, there was something noticeably wrong with the confident and always smiling maknae.

Of course Myungsoo would notice, seeing how his most loved person (okay, no more denial there, it's been almost four years since debut now) restrain himself from dancing to girl group songs and try to seem manly and mature.

He knew that as the younger grew up along with those nasty rumors, Sungjong seemed fine at first with his normal confident and sassy attitude, but Myungsoo could tell that those rumors were slowly taking affect on the boy as his body changed.

In fact, the affects were so slow that barely anyone could tell the difference.

"Do I look okay?"

That question became asked more often.

It was asked right before a My Heart is Beating live concert for Music Core.

To be honest? Well, he looked simply adorable with the black beret and slightly too large black and white sweater.

"You look fine. More adorable than a girl, okay?" Myungsoo said, making the other stiffle a laugh. He couldn't help but smile at the seemingly rare sight of the maknae's smile, "You should laugh more often."

Sungjong stopped before pouting, "I don't like the sound of my laugh..."

Maybe he took a bit of a daring move...

Just a simple kiss on the cheek.

"Don't say that. Everything about you is perfect. You don't need to change for anyone." he couldn't help but chuckle at the maknae slowly letting the kiss click into his head along with what he just said and immediately turned bright red.

"Hurry up you two lovebirds! Jeez always the last ones out..." Sungyeol complained from outside of the make-up room.

"Y-Y-You have a l-lot of explaining to do after th-this!" Sungjong yelled in obvious embarrassment as he ran out of the room with a magazine (to probably fan himself before he appeared bright red in front of the Inspirits).

Myungsoo smiled before walking after the maknae.

He'll figure out a way to make that smile return like debut times.
