Ladies and gentlemen, due to the heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, the boarding time of the flight PM1527 to South Korea has been rescheduled to six-thirty in the evening. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, the announcement blared through the entire Los Angeles International Airport.

“Aigo, my boyfriend will be late home now,” Taecyeon teased his hyung, grinning.

“Cheh, you’ll be late home too; you’re coming to my house anyway,” Minjun defended himself.

Taecyeon chuckled, “On the bright side, we get to explore this huge place~” Upon finishing his sentence, he grabbed Minjun’s hand and started leading him towards the nearest store.

Minjun only sighed, “Taecyeonnie is always so positive.”

They entered a winter clothing store and the first thing Taecyeon did was to pick a beanie for Minjun. He fitted the knitted hat on his hyung’s head and giggled, “Minjunnie’s so cute~” which caused the older one to blush uncontrollably.

It was actually a panda beanie complete with ears and also long extensions on either side that ended with the panda’s paws at the back and hand pockets in front.

“I’ll buy it for you, hyung,” Taecyeon gushed, his eyes sparkling.

“No, Taec. Don’t waste money like that,” Minjun objected while pulling the hat off. “Plus, it’s too expensive to buy things in an airport store.”

“C’mon, Minjunnie; just this once, please?” Taecyeon pleaded, showing his puppy eyes for good measure. “It’s for you.”

The amount of cuteness was too unbearable for Minjun so he gave in, “Fine, just this once, okay?” hence earning a peck on the forehead by an ecstatic Taecyeon. He did like the beanie and the fact that Taecyeon had chosen it for him made it even more special.

After paying for the hat, Minjun took hold of Taecyeon’s hand and led him out of the store; possibly afraid that Taecyeon might buy another article of clothing if they stayed longer. They window-shopped the rest of the stores in the airport, hand in hand; only to stop briefly at a sweets shop to get some chocolates to snack on, which Taecyeon had commented, “Is it Valentine’s or White Day today?”

“Taecyeonnie,” Minjun stopped abruptly, glancing at his wristwatch. “It’s six-twenty already, we need to go.” Wandering around the enormous place had caused them to lose track of the time; they quickly made their way to the boarding hall towards Gate 2. They got into the line of waiting passengers, got their boarding pass checked and boarded the plane.

“Hyung, I’m hungry…” Taecyeon pouted as they seated themselves.

Minjun chuckled at Taecyeon’s complaint; such a kid, he thought. “Just wait a little.”

Fortunately, the four remaining seats in their row of six were unoccupied so they were able to have some privacy. Taecyeon was sitting beside the window, Minjun right beside him. They did not have to wait long before the plane took off; shortly after, the on-flight dinner was served, much to Taecyeon’s delight.

Taecyeon got himself a typical dinner set which consisted of macaroni and cheese, fruit salad and a can of iced peach tea, while Minjun went for fried rice with BBQ chicken cutlets.

“Taecyeonnie,” Minjun called as he held his spoon up, about to feed him a spoonful of his dinner.

“Ahm,” Taecyeon gladly accepted; in return, he also spooned some of his mac and cheese for Minjun. However, when Minjun was about to eat it, Taecyeon quickly withdrew his hand and ate that spoonful of food himself.

“Yah, Taec!” Minjun whined, puffing up his cheek.

Taecyeon was giggling hysterically; but calmed down to a gentle smile as he held up another spoonful of mac and cheese for Minjun. His hyung eyed him doubtfully, only to receive an encouraging nod from Taecyeon, signaling him to eat it. In the end, he did, while giving Taecyeon a smack on his arm.

“You’re a meanie, you know that?” Minjun stated.

“I love you, too,” Taecyeon chuckled, causing his boyfriend to blush madly.

As the plane flew deeper into the night, the lights in the passengers’ cabin were dimmed and the surroundings gradually grew quiet as some read, some chatted while others dozed off.

Minjun was just finishing up the iced peach tea which he had made Taecyeon give him as a punishment for teasing him. He then left to discard the drink can and also to use the restroom. When he got back, Minjun found Taecyeon half asleep, his flawless face looking oh-so adorable.

Minjun covered Taecyeon with the blanket that had been distributed by the flight attendant when they boarded the plane. He then placed a soft kiss on Taecyeon’s cheek and whispered “Goodnight” before settling down to go to sleep too.

Without warning, Taecyeon fell to the side on Minjun’s shoulder, muttering softly, “Goodnight, Minjunnie.”

His heart fluttering, Minjun leaned onto him, the contented smile never leaving his face. He fell asleep as he relaxed in his boyfriend’s natural blissful scent.
