Win A Date With U-Kiss(discontinued fully)

Another day had passed, my date with Dongho was over, although I wish I could relive it.

I woke up early like usual, for some reason the morning was calm. It was nothing like what you would expect from living with idols. I sat up and stared out the window for a few minutes. I still couldn’t believe I was in Seoul, the place I’ve always dreamt of. I checked my phone for any voicemails and found three of them. One from my family, saying how much they’ve missed me, another one from Jin, teasing around and wishing me good luck with my life here, and another one from my uncle, wishing me good luck as well. I heaved a refreshed sigh. I miss them all.

After a few moments of staring at my phone screen, I decided to finally come out of the room and into my usual morning routine.

I checked for company before stepping out of the room. Confirming that there was nobody outside, I walked out silently, not wanting t wake anyone else. My eyesight was never too good, it had failed me a lot of times, and this was one of them.

I was about in the kitchen when I stumbled into something hard, something heavier than I was, making me fall to my back. I felt hands grip my arms tightly before my back hit the ground. I wasn’t able to make out who or what it was when we were falling. Two seconds later – perhaps the slowest two seconds of my life, I found myself flat on the floor with something heavy on top of me. I shut my eyes tight.

“Mi,” just then I heard a familiar voice, “mianhe.”

“It’s okay,” my head was tilted to the side, my eyes still closed. Our position was so awkward I couldn’t even open my eyes to confirm who was on top of me. Maybe he’s looking away now, I thought. I opened my eyes and found Soohyun gaping at me straight in the eyes. We stayed like that for a few moments. Then he finally decided to get off and stand back up. He stretched his hand towards me, looking away. I grabbed it and he pulled me up. At the height I was able to see him suppressing his blushing face, which made me blush even harder.

“Uhm,” he tried to break the awkward silence, “see you.”

Breaking of awkward silence = Epic fail.

I entered the dance studio their manager drove me to. I was expected to meet Kevin there – he practiced dancing all night. It’s so big! I thought. The floor was made of high class mahogany and the walls were lined with tall mirrors.

“Good morning,” Kevin suddenly walked out of another room at the corner of the dance studio. He had a casual getup, opposing my “good girl” attire, he even had a towel draped on his wet hair. “I’m hungry!” he complained cutely, making me all giggly.

“Let’s eat,” I took out the food from the basket their manager handed me earlier. Sandwiches. Again. “Should I really be eating this every day?” I murmured, taking one triangular sandwich out of the basket.

Kevin smiled cutely as he took out one of the sandwiches and stuffed it into his mouth. Is he really supposed to be this shy?

&&

We started strolling around Lotte World exactly after we finished eating – counting out Kevin’s various costume changes whilst trying hard not to be recognized by fans. One thing we regretted doing was riding Giant Loop immediately after paying for the entrance. “It’s exactly next to the entrance!” was Kevin’s excuse when he looked back at me tipsily walking away from the ride.

We decided to cool up after the “loops” we had to come through. Kevin lead me to a ride next to the Giant Loop. The rides looked somewhat like teacups, except they were supposed to be baskets, where you can spin yourself.

Kevin loaded in first, he had to pull me in for I was feeling still tipsy from “looping.” We were seated exactly in front of each other. He said it was good for balance – he thought we weighed the same. We sat there for a few minutes, looking all bored while waiting for the ride to start

“It’s just beginning.”

“What?” I look up at him. I had been trying to focus on the big cobra thing in the middle of the machine.

“You look bored,” he smiled at me with those crescent shaped eyes. Someday those eyes are going to kill me.

“Oh,” I smiled back at him.

He was about to say something when we suddenly heard a flute playing out of nowhere. The ride finally begun. The whole ride rotated slowly but Kevin spun our “teacup basket” quickly, laughing maniacally, but cutely, in the process.

“That was fun!” he yelled, putting his sunglasses back on. He had to pull me yet again out of the ride. I was too dizzy.

I stare at the tall structure that could clearly be seen from the “teacup basket’s” standing. “Let’s not,” I grip his sleeve tightly.

“But roller coasters are fun!” he squealed. I never expected him to be this hyper. He chuckled, “okay fine, let’s sit somewhere.” He pulled me to an empty bench next to the roller coaster. There were surprisingly few people around he did not have to worry much about his disguise.

“I love Lotte World. My parents and I used to go here a heck lot,” he looked at me again with a smile. I was surprised I even managed to breathe.

“You must miss them.”

“A lot,” he looked at his knees with a thin smile. His head shifted back up after a few seconds. “I want milkshake!” he pointed at a circular store standing in front of us. He ran to it before I could even say anything. Without anything else I could do, I sighed and followed him.

“Strawberry milkshake please!” he flashes another cutesy smile at the grumpy-looking unnie behind the counter. “What are you gonna have?”

“Strawberry milkshake.”

“Two strawberry milkshakes please!” he called out the noona again who grunted in reply. Kevin and I stood there for a few seconds.

“Here’s your milkshake,” that’ll be four dollars.

Kevin was about to take his wallet out of his pocket when I whispered something to him. “Bet you can get these two milkshakes for free,” I winked at him. He gawked at me for a few seconds and clapped when he finally understood what I meant.

“Noona,” he started to speak melodically with a slightly higher pitch, “I don’t have four dollars.”

“Ok,” the woman behind the country glared at him. Kevin put both his hands on the milkshake cups before the woman could put it away.

“Can’t I get it for free?” Kevin pouted at her. His puppy eyes were blocked by his infamous sunglasses. “Please?”

“No free things here, kid,” the woman’s voice became hoarse.

Kevin started to jump around cutely like a child. “Please please please noona?”

“I said no!” he yelled at both of us.

Kevin took his sunglasses off and shook his head, then he looked straight at the woman. “Please, noona?”

The ‘noona’ behind the cash register widened her eyes at us. She squealed in recognition of UKiss’ Kevin. “Are you…”

“Please, noona?”

The woman behind the register bit her lips. “Okay, but can you give me an autograph?” she handed Kevin a paper, which he signed immediately. “Thanks!” we ran off.

“You were so cute!” I squealed at him as we walked. I stretched my arm out to pinch his cheek.

“Ow!” he retorted, again, cutely.

“Hey guys!” I heard a familiar voice from behind us. It was Hyeneul with her date, Dongho. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Hi Hyeneul,” I waved at her.

“Smooth move back there,” she winked at me in response.

Kevin and I look at each other, both of us confused. We shrugged simultaneously. “What?”

“You could’ve kissed,” she poked fun at me again, which I didn’t appreciate much since I really had no idea what she was talking about.

I gawked at her, which made her poke more fun at me.

“I mean about what happened with Soohyun earlier, silly,” she poked me at the arm, which made me jump away from her.

“How’d you know about that?” I widened my eyes at her.

“Kibum-oppa told me,” she stuck her tongue out. “And if you’re asking how I saw him, he escorted me to Lotte World earlier. And if you’re asking me why I’m in Lotte World, it’s because today’s my date with Dongho. And if you’re asking me why I’m on a date with Dongho, it’s because I won a contest. Are you gonna ask who Dongho is? Stop asking too much questions!”

Dongho, Kevin, and I all stared at Hyeneul in disbelief. Dongho started to speak, “Kibum-hyung escorted you?” He pouted at his date.

“Bye!” Kevin and I ran away from them, not wanting to hear Hyeneul’s longer, senseless stories.

We rode several more rides before nighttime came. It finally came to the point where our bodies ached all over and we couldn’t take any more.

“Did you have fun?” Kevin asked me in between pants. He was leaning lazily on the bench we were sitting on.

“Yeah,” I answered back in a pant.

He sat straight and looked at me. “Let’s go home before any more fans recognize me,” he smiled at me again with his killer smile. I nod.

He decided then to call their manager to pick us up.
