Cycle 30

“Damn it, I am so late” Jungkook mutters under his breath. He’s currently running through the streets to the library. His tutor session starts at 8pm and he’s already 10 minutes late.

“Damn it, Jin hyung gonna hit me with that damn biology textbook when I get there,” Jungkook grumbles. He can already see the image of an angry Jin hyung scowling which makes a shiver runs down his spine.

“I’m so gonna make Jimin sleeps in the bathroom.” He says between the gasps. He hasn’t stop running and beads of sweat beginning to trickle down his face.

It’s Jimin’s fault anyway that he’s running late. Jimin challenged him on Bloodborne and God forbid Jeon Jungkook to turn down a challenge. They played and Jungkook lost track of time. At least he knows a large pizza will be waiting for him when he gets back because loser buys a pizza. That is, if Jin hyung doesn’t kill him first.

He enters an alley to make a shortcut to the library. He’s about to take a right turn when he bumps into someone.

“Ouch,”

“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going and I’m kinda in a rush,” he says as the stranger gets back on his feet and pats the dust away.

“Nah, it’s fine I wasn’t looking, too,” The stranger says. His voice is deep and Jungkook likes it. “Here, let me help you.” The stranger then holds out his hand and Jungkook takes it without hesitation.

Then, everything seems to stop. He barely realizes he’s already on his feet again because the moment their skins touch, Jungkook is overwhelmed with sudden comforting warmth all over his body and his soulmate mark heats up. His soulmate mark has ing heated up. He looks at the stranger when they let go of each other’s hands.

“Min… Yoongi?” he tries. The stranger looks as surprised as him. The stranger has a beanie covering the blonde hair, a leather jacket that looks very expensive over a plain white shirt that is tucked inside his tight leather pants. Jungkook gulps. He did not just check out a stranger.

“, Jeon Jungkook?” the stranger says more than asks. That’s all Jungkook need to confirm his suspicion. Jungkook nods at him nevertheless.

Then, neither of them says nor does anything rather than just staring at each other. After they share awkward glances for what feels like a few minutes, Yoongi then breaks the silence.

“Look, I’d like to talk about this but I’m really late for work, so, how about you give me your number so I can text you or something?”

“Ah, right, I’m late for a tutor session actually!” Jungkook realizes and he takes the phone Yoongi offers and quickly saves his number. Yoongi takes the phone back and pats Jungkook’s shoulder.

“Study well, kid. Talk to you soon.” Yoongi flashes him a smile before walking away in hurry.

Jungkook is 20 minutes late by the time he reaches the library. Jin hyung doesn’t hit him with the biology textbook but he hits arm with a ruler instead and gives Jungkook extra 20 questions to solve than the usual 10 questions.

But nothing can ruin the night for Jungkook. He has met his soulmate, Yoongi, and to top it all, Yoongi is damn hot. He can never thank The Star enough.

Maybe, being late isn’t that bad after all.
