Baekhyun could tell Luhan was in shock. He hadn’t spoken for about half an hour, simply staring at the book in front of him. Baekhyun didn’t poke him though. He knew Luhan needed some time to cope with the fact that the guy he lived with for almost a month was in love with him.

‘Baek, you are not confusing our Sehun with someone else, right?’ Luhan asked, eventually.

‘How many Oh Sehun’s do you know?’ Baekhyun raised his eyebrow in ridicule.

Luhan gulped. ‘Just one…’ he whispered,’ and h-he loves me…’

‘He does,’ Baekhyun nodded.

‘Well, I guess that means only one thing then,’ Luhan said, sighing.

‘What?’

‘I need to talk to him,’ Luhan said, firmly.

‘What? Why?!’

‘I need to tell him its okay if he loves me,’ Luhan said, bobbing his head,’ I don’t mind but I will not be able to return to his love in the same way.’

Baekhyun tried to understand Luhan’s words, his face twisting into ridiculous expressions the entire time.

‘So you are telling me,’ Baekhyun said, slowly processing the information,’ that you are going to tell Sehun you know about his feelings and then shoot him down by telling him you can never love him back.’

‘I won’t call it shooting him down…’ Luhan spoke in a murmur.

‘You will reject him upfront when he didn’t even confessed his love for you,’ Baekhyun prodded and Luhan gulped audibly.

‘I-I’ll be nice to him,’ Luhan tried to smile,’ I’ll let him down kindly…’

‘Okay Luhan,’ Baekhyun took a deep breath,’ no offense BUT ARE YOU ING RETARDED?!’

Luhan leaned back from the puppy who looked at him with a enraged glare.

Baekhyun rubbed his eyes sighing before he said,’ it was my fault. I told you about Sehun’s feelings so punish me. Don’t say anything to him. Don’t do this to him Luhan.’

‘B-but if I talk to him,’ Luhan tried to reason,’ he’ll be able to move on, Baek. I don’t want him to be stuck on me, assuming that I will return his feelings.’

Baekhyun couldn’t deny that Luhan had a point but he would not let Sehun get hurt. He knew Sehun would be devastated, he was fragile and very easily perturbed.

‘I know it’s going to hurt like hell for him,’ Luhan whispered,’ but I cannot live with the fact that he’s waiting for me to come around. I’d rather hurt him and help him find someone else than intentionally lead him on when I know how he feels about me.’

‘Don’t do it, Luhan,’ Baekhyun shook his head,’ I beg you, please don’t do it. I cannot imagine what it will do to Sehun.’

Luhan pulled at his hair desperately. Sehun had become one of his dearest friends in such a short period of time. Luhan felt so restful around him but Baekhyun’s revelation changed everything. Luhan was not supposed to be so bothered by this but he cared about Sehun.

Talking to Sehun about his feelings and help him get over it would be painful, yes… Like a Band-Aid being ripped off quickly and painfully. Luhan thought it was still better than going through an extended period of torment. Something’s were supposed to be culminated swiftly, no matter how much the pain.

Baekhyun could see the struggle that Luhan was having in his mind.

He recommended,’ maybe you could get an opinion from others. Chanyeol and Kyungsoo know about Sehun’s attraction towards you. Talk to them and listen to what they want to say. I say you shouldn’t do it but ask the others what they think is the right thing to do.’

Luhan gnawed on his lip concluding that he did not have a better idea in his mind.

Kyungsoo wasn’t sure why the universe hated him. He had always been so sincere, always made sure he wasn’t hurting anyone because of his actions. But it took him too long to realize that there was no such force as karma in this time and age.

It all started when a saesang decided it would be ing swell to up his life. The evening of Cherry Blossom picnic, Kyungsoo couldn’t help but have a coy smile on his face the whole time. Kai happened to be sitting next to Kyungsoo during the picnic and they clicked just so well. Luhan was strolling along the riverside with Sehun so that gave Kyungsoo a chance to chat with Kai.

‘You have flower petals all over your hair,’ Kyungsoo smiled. Kai grinned and shook his head, showering the petals everywhere. Kyungsoo could not stop giggling with delight as some of the pink petals landed on him as well.

‘Would you like some soju?’ Kai had asked him.

Kyungsoo nodded and lifted his soju cup so that Kai could fill it up for him. Kai smiled charmingly and Soo could not get his eyes off the other guy’s plump delicious lips… Lips that promised to taste sweeter and more satisfying that any dessert in this world…

Kyungsoo did not know his wish would actually be granted and he won’t be able to feel happy about it.

Whatever happened in the next few seconds was completely Baekhyun’s fault. It was always Baekhyun’s fault when something went terribly wrong. A fangirl was jumping with happiness because Chanyeol had given her an autograph and also added hearts next to her name. Baekhyun’s hand “accidentally” knocked her away and the girl came crashing down on Kyungsoo’s back. That’s when Soo realized how close he had been leaning towards Kai’s face. Not only did he splash all the soju on Kai’s shirt but his lips crashed against the edge of Kai’s lips. He felt the lush lips pressed against his own and his heart would’ve screamed if it could. His eyes widened and so did Kai’s as they realized what had just happened and they quickly drew back from each other. But the fangirls clicked pictures faster than you could blink and as a result it looked like Kyungsoo and Kai were kissing… On the lips…

It was a coincidence and honestly both he and Kai were so embarrassed.

‘OMG Kai oppa, is that your boyfriend?!’ some stupid girl screamed and Kai blushed. Kyungsoo’s face however was crimson tinted with an emotion completely opposite to that of shyness. He glared at all the girls around them who shuffled away after watching his infuriated expression.

‘I’m sorry, Kyungsoo,’ Kai placed a hand on his shoulder and Kyungsoo’s anger melted within seconds.

He smiled at Kai and then flashed an enflamed glower in Baekhyun’s direction who was drunkenly nestling in Chanyeol’s arms.

Kyungsoo thought that whatever happened was awkward (but rather enjoyable) and he wouldn’t need to worry about it. However when his and Kai’s pictures surfaced the internet the next day, his life turned worse than hell. Everyone started speculating that Kai was dating him and calling them a cute couple. There were love quotes engraved under their photo and fanfictions and oh Jesus, Kyungsoo was going to put Baekhyun to sleep forever for this!

Stomping back from the university, Kyungsoo grumbled irately. His entire day was spent in dodging intrusive people, stares of the entire horde of university students and disregarding the chants of “KaiSoo Forever!” coming from some brainless kids in the corridor, feigning that it did not make his stomach feel warm with exhilaration.

He marched promptly to Baekhyun’s house, he needed a punching bag to release his frustration.

‘Oww! No no stop!’ Baekhyun squawked as Kyungsoo disciplined him for effectively ruining the peace of his mind. Luhan was there too but he looked unfocused for some reason and wasn’t even heeding to Baekhyun’s endless pleas.

‘LUHANNIE!’ Baekhyun yelled and Luhan jumped in his seat.

‘What do you want?!’ Luhan shouted back as if he couldn’t see Kyungsoo sitting on Baekhyun’s chest.

‘H-Help…’ Baekhyun whimpered.

‘Serves you right,’ Luhan folded his arms, tetchily,’ you’re the reason why everything goes wrong around here!’

‘RIGHT?!!’ Kyungsoo shrieked,’ although… what did he do to you?’

Luhan sighed. ‘H-he told me that Sehun…Hunnie…he…loves me?’

Kyungsoo gasped and looked down at Baekhyun furiously. ‘WHY DID YOU TELL HIM?!’

Baekhyun thought he was going to die but thankfully Luhan took mercy on him and managed to pull Kyungsoo off him. Baekhyun disappeared behind Luhan because Kyungsoo still would not stop scowling at him.

‘What are you going to do, Luhan?’ Kyungsoo asked, exhaling,’ have you decided?’

‘I kind of want to talk to Sehun and tell him it’s okay,’ Luhan chewed on his lip,’ but Baekhyun says I shouldn’t. Hunnie will be distraught. What do you think?’

‘I cannot make that decision for you, Luhan,’ Kyungsoo shook his head.

‘I just need your opinion,’ Luhan begged. Kyungsoo could see the other guy was desperate.

‘As much as it hurts me to say this,’ Kyungsoo said, eventually,’ I have to concur with Baekhyun. You’ve lived with Sehun and you know how he is. Something goes wrong and he shuts everybody out. He suffers alone and hardly even talks to anybody. He’s a very reserved person and receiving a blow this big, I’m sure he’ll walk back to his cocoon and none of us would be able to get hold of him. You don’t want that, do you?’

‘No…’ Luhan whispered. Does Sehun really love me so much?

Kyungsoo bid farewell to Luhan and Baekhyun (who was still cowering away from him) and walked back to his apartment. He pitied Luhan for being stuck in such a dilemma but he himself was so troubled. He would have probably enjoyed being teased by Kai’s name but he was not dating the hot supermodel…

‘KaiSoo, my !’ Kyungsoo jumped on the floor angrily.

‘What?! Kai sue your ? Why should I sue you?’ a voice asked and Kyungsoo lurched. Kai was standing in front of him, wearing a bright red tee and shades slipped on top of his head.

‘N-no,’ Kyungsoo said,’ that’s not what I was saying…’

‘Then?’

‘Nothing,’ Kyungsoo cleared his throat,’ bye.’

‘Hey hey, wait!’ Kai blocked his way,’ can I ask you a favor?’

Ugh, why is it so hard to say no to him?! Kyungsoo pondered looking at Kai’s attractive smile.

‘Sure, what’s up?’ he asked, smiling and giving up on the hope that he would be able to sidetrack Kai’s charms.

‘So you know how I was out on my photo shoot last month,’ Kai said, scratching his neck,’ during that time, Luhan had to go through a lot on his own. I feel guilty for not being there for him and I was hoping to make him some nice dinner.’

‘That’s a good idea,’ Kyungsoo said, approvingly,’ what do you plan to make?’

‘That’s the problem,’ Kai grinned, uncomfortably,’ I don’t know how to cook.’

‘Oh.’

‘Can you teach me?’ Kai beamed,’ please?’

‘It’s okay if you don’t want to…’ Kai said a little sadly, his lips slightly pouting. He looked like the cutest puppy ever and Kyungsoo wanted to scream because it was too adorable for his eyes!

Kyungsoo simply grabbed his hand and dragged him inside his apartment. Kai gasped at first but silently followed the guy with eyes like big brown pools. He couldn’t help a smile as he threaded his fingers between the soft ones holding him firmly.
