It was well past midnight. Sehun was walking back home after his night classes in university. It was eerily silent and extremely dark, the only source of light being the dimly lit flickering streetlight and the moonlight. 

The pin-drop silence was then broken by Sehun's phone ringing. Sehun begrudgingly took it out from his pocket to check who was calling him as such an ungodly hour. His expression however changed completely when he saw the caller id. It was none other then his boyfriend, Luhan.

Luhan and Sehun had been dating for almost 2 years and the two were deeply in love with each other. They first met when Sehun was in his senior year at high school and Luhan was his tutor from a neighboring university. They clicked without any hesitation despite the and became good friends right away. The friendship soon bloomed into something more when they both started harbouring secret crushes for one another. Coincidentally, they even ended up confessing to each other on the same day. That was the official start of their relationship. 

Sehun when extremely pleased with how his life had turned out but he probably jinxed himself when he thought about that. Because a sobbing Luhan's desperate voice was definitely not what he wanted to hear. Ever.

"S-sehun... I-im sorry Sehun, please f-forgive me i-if you can."

"S-sehun my father called me earlier on. He has cancer Sehun. His cancer is on his last stage. It's too late to cure it, he's going to die." Luhan was hysterically cryin
