EPILOGUE
Lord of Darkness Part II
Dara's eyebrow rose as she saw two male servants of Lord Cha Seung-won's villa standing outside of the bedchamber she and Jaejoong were currently using. After Jaejoong had surrendered Lady Hye-Kyo to King Donghae and the Haldor Council, he decided that all of them should go back to Lord Seung-won's villa to have some rest. And since Jaejoong was now the owner of the villa, they were welcomed and pampered.
This was the third morning of their stay in the villa. Dara was expecting the regular maid who brought them breakfast to appear on their door, but instead, she saw the two male servants. She also noticed that they were also carrying a chest, the chest which Lord Seung-won had bequeathed to her.
"I ordered them to bring that chest here, Dara," said Jaejoong's voice. She turned and saw him walking out of the bathroom. He had finally finished his bath.
When the two men left, the chest stood in the middle of the room.
"What are you planning to do, Jaejoong?"
"Aren't you interested to find out what is inside this chest?"
"I have already talked to Yoochun about that. But he is still working or rather trying to create a key that would open that padlock."
Jaejoong touched the chest and the padlock. His fingers lingering on the wind symbols etched on them.
"Maybe you don't need a real key, but a magical key."
A small whirlwind appeared in the middle of his right palm.
"Are you saying that wind magic could open this?" She became interested.
"You want to find out?"
"Sure!"
Jaejoong let the small whirlwind enter the keyhole of the padlock. In seconds, the padlock opened and the chest revealed its secret to them!
Inside the chest was a parchment and a small bottle filled with thick, white liquid.
Dara began to read the words written on the parchment.
"What does it say?" inquired Jaejoong.
"This is a land title for a fruit orchard in the town of Anes in Mussur with my name on it!"
"So, my future wife is now a land owner." Jaejoong grinned before taking the small bottle and studying it. "But what is this?"
"No idea." Dara took the small bottle from Jaejoong's hand. As she touched the bottle, letters began appearing on the clear, glass bottle. She giggled upon understanding the words while Jaejoong's eyebrows shot up.
The words on the glass were the last words of Lord Sung-won, former Regent of Mussur to Dara.
"The orchard would help you in your finances, Dara, but the content of this vial will ensure that if you ever made a mistake of marrying the wrong man, it will be corrected in a fortnight by just one teaspoon."
