"Don't you think you're being too dramatic right now?" Brian said exasperatedly only to get a glare from the girl beside him.
The snow was getting heavy and it gets colder that Brian swore to himself he would never again equate a playground with happiness. Only a stupid person would ever play swing just before midnight in the middle of a blizzard. But Brian has always gone beyond stupid if it means he can make A Yeon happy.
"You are just gonna catch a cold by staying longer here. You know, you won’t even hear the beginning of his reasoning if you’re dead from hypothermia.”
"Just go, I'm going to wait for him." A Yeon said resolutely even though the look in her eyes said differently.
"Come on, you're being childish right now. I kinda get it why he wanted to break up with you." Brian inadvertently said as his patience ran out.
Stupid, really stupid Brian.
The tears that she desperately try to hold back since the moment she got his break up messages suddenly burst out.
"Oh, so you think you know why he broke up with me?"
"Why? Because he’s a moron who only thinks about himself?"
Brian couldn't help but let out his pent up frustration. Not to A Yeon, of course. Well, maybe a little. Mostly it was to the moron that makes her waiting like this tho. Perhaps to himself too, for being another moron who couldn't tell her that he has liked her since the very first time they meet.
"Yeah, apparently he didn’t believe himself." A Yeon said in between her tears. It comes as a mumble as her lip is frozen, but Brian could hear it.
Because he can always hear her, even in the middle of the silence. But will she ever hear him? Hear his heart and thoughts?
Hey, brain, thank you so much for the self-deprecating thoughts of our unrequited love story, Brian said inside his heart. But he has to bury all of those feelings for now, because tonight is about being a "friend" that she needs.
He kneels in front of her, trying his best to warm her tear-streaked cheeks - and hopefully made her aware of his feeling. There you again, stupid.
"The problem is I believe him."

"I heard he broke up a few days ago."
Stupid Younghyun! He cursed to himself as his mouth just seems to speak whatever it wants without control.
"I thought you have more important things to think about." A Yeon said a matter-of-factly - and a little bit irritated, because how dare he?
It's been months since they've seen each other and that's the first thing he could think of. He could have said a simple hi or hello as any normal person would, but here he is, throwing random information about her ex-boyfriend love life which she already knows so damn well because how can she not when she still hasn't forgotten him. When she still put him on her speed dial and called him once in a while when she's so drunk she can barely remember her name but she remembers him. So much for helping me to move on, Younghyun-ah, she thought with a little bit of disappointment.
"Well, there is nothing more important than this for me." Younghyun shrugged as if he didn't mean what he just said. He didn't want to push her or make her burdened by his concern. He likes her and he knows she should have known. He kinda feels like that was the reason why she'd been distant for the past few months after he offhandedly told her that he will wait for her to move on and finally see him the last time they got drunk together. Besides the fact that they're so swamped with work and whatnots.
"Does it matter?"
"You matter most than any of the things that happened to me lately."
There was a lie coming from Younghyun's mouth. Because how can A Yeon is more important than any of what happened to his band lately and she knows she shouldn't blindly believe him, but she couldn't help but to feel comforted. Younghyun is too nice, always has been, that's why the possibilities of losing him scared her. What if they didn't work out? What if they're nothing more but just a friend? Was it worth it to jeopardize what they have all these years? Not only their friendship but also all the sweated blood they devote to their dream. It wasn't worth the sacrifice.
"Hasn’t you learned from what happened? They kicked him out."
Of course, I learned, you don't have to tell me when I just got another lecture from PD-nim earlier, Younghyun wanted to spat.
It was only 6 days ago that their band become five-membered. He still remembers vividly how Junhyeok just left without a trace after meeting with the Company's higher-ups. Not even their manager knows what happened when they got home to their dorms after a day of the jamming session and found that Junhyeok belonging has disappeared. No one expected lunch that day would be the last time they saw him. He still remembers how Wonpil and Dowoon bawl their eyes out in each other embrace and how Jae got so angry that he skates his way back to the Company building to demand any explanations - when it was almost midnight and he found no one in the management office so instead, he summoned Younghyun back to the studio to "practice our high
