The eyes still closed, Minzy moved the upper part of her body out of sleep. Next to her, Chaerin was packing quickly the most important stuff. By the time she was fully awake and dressed they where ready to go. It wasn't the first time they had to move in hurry, but it was every time the same fear in the stomach «  Are they coming for me ?  ».

The village was stuck in the end of a valley, they tough when they first moved that it was such a small and insignificant place, lost in one of the less populated planet of this system, that the Daemon wouldn't come. The girls run as fast as they could to join their other members but the sound of the first attack was resonating in their ears. Minzy was clinging on her neckless as hard as she could, almost like it would protected her. It didn't, when the monster with red eyes appeared in front of them making is sword slay in the air. It was a lower rank, but even so they didn't had the luxury to underestimate him. Chaerin moved first, she avoided the first attack like a cat and came close enough to touch him and it was game over. The monster felt on his knees and before his head touched the ground the girls had already moved.  This attack wouldn't  been sensed by the higher rank but she wanted to avoid to use her power as much as possible

Fae where natural enemies to Daemon, that is why trough the age they had been hunted by them. Only a few number of the old Fae where strong enough to fight an higher rank Daemon, Chaerin was one of them but something was more important than her protecting a village full of innocent Humans. The reason was following her closely trying to be the most discreet possible.

They tried to avoid the monsters as much as possible but in the end they where cornered in the center of the small village. That was the worst case scenario but they didn't had any other options. When Chaerin was ready to push Minzy in the first hiding spot she would have find before going head to head with whoever would stand in her way she stooped because of what she saw.

Someone was actually fighting the Head of the patrol, a Hunter. When Daemon and Fae had the power of darkness and light the Humans where divided in four section, water, fire, earth and air. Maybe because the Human reproduced faster and had a lots of children they where more numerous than both the Daemon and Fae but that was also probably the reason why so little of them had a gift. From what she could see, this squad had five members, and all the element where present.This was a dreamed occasion to pass Minzy behind the battle to join the ship where the others where waiting for them. Unfortunately the numbers of Daemon was to important to deal with even for the fierce Hunters so Chaerin had to use her power to end it and exterminate any witness. The reason why Daemon where able to conquer and make so many world go to ash was because of the power the higher rank had to turn Humans into slave, like the monster she killed earlier. Once their eyes turn as red as their masters that means that nothing Human is left. The bad point is that their number is equal to their masters cruelty but the good one would be their inaptitude to use magic, so for a regular Fae or gifted Human (even a talented swordsman) they where easy to kill. This was a small patrol with a hundred of monsters and only one general, meaning that they didn't expect any resistance and where only planning on abducting the Human. Somehow that idea was comforting to Chaerin because that only meant that their secret was safe. 

The general was trying to escape when the one controlling water cut his throat. As soon as he was dead, Chaerin was looking for Minzy. Humans and Fae where in good therm and sometimes teamed up in Hunter squad but she didn't wanted to take any risque that they would notice something wrong about the youngest. But before she could do anything it was too late, Minzy was healing some peasant which attracted one of the hunter girls. She knew she was supposed to stay out of it but knowing how nice the girl was it was like an evidence that she would have do
