Enchanted

The 2015 Jinyoon Fic-Exchange

Jinyoon fic exchange round two: Inspired by a song

Prompt by Sandiun: Enchanted by Taylor Swift

There I was again tonight

Forcing laughter, faking smiles

Same old tired lonely place

Walls of insincerity,

Shifting eyes and vacancy

Vanished when I saw your face

All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"

Across the room your silhouette

Starts to make its way to me

The playful conversation starts

Counter all your quick remarks

Like passing notes in secrecy

And it was enchanting to meet you

All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go

I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

The lingering question kept me up

2 AM, who do you love?

I wonder 'til I'm wide awake

And now I'm pacing back and forth

Wishing you were at my door

I'd open up and you would say, "Hey,

It was enchanting to meet you,

All I know is I was enchanted to meet you."

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go

I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

This night is flawless, don't you let it go

I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

This is me praying that

This was the very first page

Not where the story line ends

My thoughts will echo your name

Until I see you again

These are the words I held back

As I was leaving too soon

I was enchanted to meet you

Please don't be in love with someone else

Please don't have somebody waiting on you

Please don't be in love with someone else

Please don't have somebody waiting on you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go

I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

This night is flawless, don't you let it go

I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

I was enchanted to meet you

Please don't be in love with someone else

Please don't have somebody waiting on you

Enchanted - JinYoon AU

by Eiryia

It was the last evening of the annual spring fair that the city hosted each year. Jinwoo had been working in the shop since morning and was by now completely exhausted. Even so was he doing his best to welcome the never ending flow of customers coming in to buy flowers, cards or plants on their way home. It was always like this, the worst push of people was by the end of the day because no one wanted to carry around flowers with them all afternoon.

He had been doing his best faking his brightest smile at some old ladies asking for information about when certain types of tress would be in bloom in the city, when a man not matching the shops usual demographics of customers came walking in. He appeared to be scanning the shop for something and Jinwoo wondered if he was looking for flowers for his girlfriend. He sure looked like someone who had a girlfriend with his tall stature, pitch black slightly ruffled hair and a warm welcoming expression on his face. He looked over at the counter where Jinwoo was standing for just a moment and smiled. There was something contagious about it and Jinwoo couldn't help but to smile a proper honest smile as well.

«Ehm, young mister?" Jinwoo looked around.

An old man was patting him on the shoulder and pointing at the ever growing line of customers. He felt heat start flowing to his face in a record breaking speed as embarrassment hit him hard. He bowed and apologized as he did his best to start helping all the customers. He tried to keep an eye on his new favorite customer however and he weren't hard to spot as he slowly made his way around the shop.

The line seemed unending and he tried to keep his spirit up as they had arrived at the last hour before closing time. The stranger had already been in the store for half an hour, chatting with old women, helping a guy pick out a card for someone and he had even lifted up a kid who got pushed over by the crowd.

Their eyes had met on several occasions and he had given him the same kind smile each time. Why was he here? Why had he not left after getting whatever he needed like everyone else? Jinwoo was intrigued.

It was closing time and the store was emptying out slowly. That was when Jinwoo was approached by him.

"Hi" he said with the brightest smile Jinwoo had seen all day. All feelings of exhaustion had gone and he returned the now unforgettable smile with all sudden excitement and happiness he had. The stranger was handsome that much had he been able to tell at first glance, but he was even more so up close. Eyes sparkling, perfect pale skin and now that he had heard him speak if only just a word couldn't he help but to think that he must have a lovely voice. He tried to compose himself before asking what he could help him with.

"I need a particular flower" he replied leaning slightly towards him as he said it. He tilted his head expectantly wondering what kind of flower it could be. He didn't look like a roses kind of guy. Maybe something rare and blue? Or just fresh and green? There was beauty in green and he could be the kind of person that would appreciate that. "Peonies" he said while scratching his neck a little. So his girlfriend liked peonies? Jinwoo wondered, or his mother? Older women were often fond of peonies.

"We don't have them in the store now" he replied and hurried to follow up with "but we should have them in sometime next Monday, by when do you need them?" he watched as the last few customers left the store leaving them all by themselves.

"As soon as possible" he said leaning forward on the counter looking straight at Jinwoo. It weren't an intimidating stare, more of an observer curiously studying his surroundings. He didn't say anything more and Jinwoo weren't sure what to say so he began closing down things around the store.

"I like it here" the stranger said suddenly. Jinwoo looked over at him "You are welcome to stop by any time» he might not look like the type to thrive in a flower shop, but he emanated a calm that surely would have great effect on customers and plants alike. He sure wouldn’t mind having him stop by again.

Even if he felt nothing close to calm as he noticed how the strangers eyes occasionally lingered on himself.

Jinwoo was struggling to move a few big pots indoors when he came over and gave him a hand "Thanks" he said right away and the guy nodded an acknowledging smile "any time" he replied and stretched out an arm towards him. «Kang Seung Yoon" he said. Jinwoo took his hand and introduced himself as well. He had a strong handshake for his thin frame and was that the edge of a tattoo he spotted on his wrist?

"Nice to meet you" Jinwoo continued. "I'm closing now, it's been a long day with the spring fair and all.." Seungyoon nodded "I understand, I saw the crowd when I walked in here and was amazed to see you were here alone with this many customers». Hearing this made Jinwoo's heart flutter ever so lightly. He was amazed by him? He found that hard to believe.

They kept chatting about the fair and other random things that had occurred during the time when Seungyoon had been in the store and Seungyoon was now watching as Jinwoo locked the front door. "Which direction are you heading?" he asked casually while looking at his watch. That was definitely a tattoo Jinwoo noted, a big one by the looks of it. Normally would he be a little worried by someone showing this kind of interest in him, but he had to admit that his curiosity beat every nervous fiber in him this time however unusual that was for him.

He explained that he would be taking the bus from a few streets away and was happy to hear that Seungyoon was heading in the same direction, but for the subway on the corner from where his bus left.

They started walking through the streets that were still lightly crowded after the fair. They kept chatting almost as if they were old friends because the conversation never came to a halt. He was mostly the one asking questions, but Seungyoon was quick to counter them with his own questions and remarks.

Time flew by and the night seemed brighter than usual, more colorful even if he weren't paying it much attention. The setting sun had its effect of course, but even so was the air around them sparkling. Even if the conversation was about casual everyday things was there a modesty to Seungyoon's word that flattered him and he even found himself to be blushing at one point. A faint blush that would not leave his cheeks before long into the night.

Never had he been spellbound, wonderstruck or amazed like he had been that evening and by the time he went to bed had he found himself hoping several times that those peonies were indeed for a beloved friend or relative. His mind was praying to no one in particualr hoping please don't let this guy be in love with someone else. Please don't have someone waiting somewhere, because all he wanted was to get to know him better. All he wanted was for this to be the start of something new.

He wondered if Seungyoon knew? Had he felt the same way? There was nothing more important on his mind that night. He had to find out or he would spend forever wondering.

He didn't sleep much that night, his mind kept going over their conversations and all the little things Seungyoon had done that he had tried to carefully memorize. In the end had his mind just kept repeating his name in an eternal loop until he had dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

Going back to work the next morning had been a lot more exciting than usual. He had hopped of the bus a few stops early because when he and Seungyoon had walked together the evening before had Seungyoon pointed down the street and said that he worked in a shop not far from there on that street.

He had an alibi at the ready in case he actually ran into Seungyoon. He didn't want to come of as a creepy person after all. Luckily for him was there a really great coffee and smoothies shop on the street which he used to stop by every once in a while anyway. Having picked up his freshly pressed juice had he began walking up the street looking curiously into all the small shop windows. He passed a bar, a few resultants and a book shop. He began regretting not asking what he worked with. There was a lot of shops on this street, a convenience store, a music and games store, a tattoo parlor.

Wait, a tattoo parlor?

Stopping to have a better look under the pretense of suffering from severe brain freeze had he been able to get a good look into the place. It was completely dark. He sighed what did he expect? That they opened at 7 in the morning? Those kind of people were probably hungover somewhere not waking up until way after noon. He picked up pace to hurry the last hundred meters of the street. Just because he had a tattoo didn't he necessarily need to work at a tattoo parlor? He had said that he liked it at the flower shop, those two places weren't exactly similar. He threw a few glances at the last few shops and buildings, a bank and a bakery. It was best to wait until he came to get his peonies, he could ask him then.

A part of him had hoped he would stop by before Monday and so he had worked the Saturday evening shift as well when the manager had asked him if he could work extra. He had not turned up however and when Monday had passed as well without a sign of Seungyoon had his heart sunk so far into his stomach he actually felt a bit nauseous from disappointment.

When he walked home from work that evening had he already decided to treat himself to something nice to eat on the way home. He hated to admit it, but he had decided to go to the convenience store on the street where Seungyoon had said he worked in the hopes of running into him. Even if there were others closer by with a better selection.

He kept asking himself why Seungyoon had no turned up. He knew that it was silly to spend energy on such questions. It had only been a few days after all, lots of things could have happened. He might even have found his peonies somewhere else. Or changed his mind? Or?

Gnawing on his green apple flavored licorice he walked slowly down the street. He even forgot to look in through the window to the tattoo parlor on his way to the next bus stop. He sighed as he sat down on the bench at the stop. His bus had left a couple of minutes ago and it was 13 minutes until the next one.

He had just stuffed his face with another piece of licorice when he heard behind him an already familiar voice ask "feel like sharing?" he had recognized the voice right away and suddenly became very aware that he probably looked very much like a stuffed hamster right now. He held up a piece of licorice as a light distraction while still looking at his feet.

"Mind if I join you?" he asked taking the licorice from his palm and he quickly nodded his reply.

Finishing his licorice in record speed he looked over to see Seungyoon sitting beside him. He didn’t meet his gaze because he was too busy staring at the sunset and with stuffing his face with licorice.

"Fhank yoh" Seungyoon said with a cute grin spreading across his face. His actions were in deep contrast to his look today because there was nothing cute about it. Tight black leather pants, a long checkered flannel shirt with folded up arms showing huge intricate tattoos on both arms and long spikes poking down onto his neck from his ears. Jinwoo couldn't help but to stare and Seungyoon noticed "watt?" he asked finishing his candy. "Sorry if I smell a little burned, tried to cook dinner at work. It didn't turn out too well"

Jinwoo laughed a little, he did smell really burned. He had been meaning to try and find out about it for a little while now. "What did you try to cook?" he asked curious. "Hamburgers" Seungyoon replied actually looking a little embarrassed now. He tried not to show how humored he was by that, but didn't do a good job at it by the looks of Seungyoon’s face. He was frowning and fidgeting a little with the hem if his shirt.

Jinwoo held up his bag of licorice in a quiet forgive me and Seungyoon accepted right away. "You must be hungry then?" Jinwoo asked as Seungyoon stuffed the whole thing in his mouth and looked blissful again. "epp" he replied nodding.

He wanted to suggest them going somewhere for dinner, he would even volunteer to cook for him. It was only their second meeting though and he was honest enough with himself to admit that he was too scared of rejection to ask him out at this point.

"What are you having for dinner?" Seungyoon suddenly asked pointing to his plastic bag. The top of a few carrots were sticking out giving him away.

He opened his bag for him to see and said "guess". Jinwoo wondered if he even was able to put together what he was making just by taking a look at the basic ingredients he had bought. "Hm.. I see onions, garlic, carrots and tomatoes.." he rubbed his chin and appeared to take the challenge very seriously.

Jinwoo on the other hand was very distracted by Seungyoon’s jawline. Luckily enough for him did he catch himself staring before Seungyoon was done figuring out his little quiz. He looked up while holding up a hand as if still in school about to answer the teacher’s question "I... don’t know!" he said laughing "I'm sorry, cooking isn't my strongest point. Please tell me?"

Jinwoo's insides was screaming at him by now, why was he such a coward? Why didn't he just say "I can show you how to cook this" he didn't say that, he just smiled awkwardly too blown away by the fact that he had approached him out of the blue like this. The fact that he was now eating apple licorice along with him like that was something they did every day was already too much. Discussing dinner? He just couldn’t. He had thought he might not ever see him again, and so this moment was already precious to him.

"It's the ingredients for spaghetti sauce, I'm making pasta" he said struggling to keep his voice sounding normal. Seungyoon peeked into the bag "really?" he replied in an amazed voice «I didn’t know you put carrots in that» he continued poking at one of the carrots.

That was when his bus turned the corner and headed towards them. "Here comes my ride home" Jinwoo said and got up. Seungyoon looked at him as he got to his feet. He was already cursing himself for saying it. God he was so stupid, he should have just ignored the bus and hopped on the next one. Seungyoon didn't know which bus he would be taking anyway. "Oh?" he said and turned to look at the bus. He then got up from the bench as well. "Safe trip home" he continued. "You still have those peonies in your shop?" he asked as the bus pulled up next to them. "Yeah" Jinwoo replied and gave him a thumbs up. "Good" was all he replied smiling another one of those contagious smiles of his. It didn't affect Jinwoo as much this time however, he was too upset with himself.

He got on the bus and sat by the window, Seungyoon waved at him as the bus pulled out on the street and he gave a small wave back. He had never felt this stupid before. How could he let that opportunity pass? He had even forgot to ask where he worked or any of the other thousands of things he was wondering about.

When he got home had the feeling of disappointment from earlier returned in full force. The source for it had changed, but the feeling was even worse now because it was self-inflicted. He hunched down by the front door as soon as he had closed it behind him and hid his face in his hands. There had the perfect opportunity to get his answers come out of the blue and he had done nothing! He rubbed his face in pure frustration as he said "nothing" out loud to himself.

His hunger was completely gone now, partially because he was too angry and disappointed and partially because he had eaten a lot of apple licorice. He the radio only to hear "I'll spend forever wondering if you knew" he hit the radios off button so hard the whole thing fell over. The universe was mocking him now. If things kept on like this then he would be the one spending forever wondering.

Working the afternoon shift at work that day had he spent the morning sleeping inn. He had ended up pacing his bedroom in pure frustration before finally falling asleep last night and it had only been after promising himself he would not let another opportunity to get to know Seungyoon better pass like last time.

As he headed down the street towards the flower shop had the sky opened up above him and managed to completely drench him. He shook his head to remove some of the water from his hair before stepping into the store.

His colleague had been nice enough to lend him his spare shirt from his locker that he used for replanting and he was now inspecting himself in the mirror wondering what this shift would bring. As his co-worker left had he stopped at the door only to ask if he knew when the roses and peonies would be back in stock. He weren’t sure and couldn’t quite focus on recalling it either because the word peonies was taking up too much space in his mind.

«Wait, peonies? Did someone buy them all already?» he asked following his co-worker to the door. What if Seungyoon already had been there? He stared a little too interested at his co-worker who gave him a examining look in return. «Someone came and bought them all this morning for a wedding after all of theirs had died during the night». He sighed the biggest internal sigh of relief as he heard this. «I’ll check our lists for the next order, did someone stop by asking for them afterwards?» his co-worker shook his head no and opened his umbrella before stepping out into the rain. Leaving Jinwoo alone to ponder all his questions.

The afternoon passed with very few customers and he had busied himself with cleaning and re-organizing the weed killers in the backroom to make time pass. As the last hour finally arrived had he made himself a cup of tea and sat down behind the shop counter listening to the heavy rain as it hit the shop windows. That was when he heard the tiny bell of the shop door ring. He strained his neck to see who it was that was braving the weather for the sake of some flowers at this hour.

Soaking wet with hair covering his eyes he stepped into the store looking more like a lost kid at a shopping mall than anything else. Seeing him like this had Jinwoo stunned for a moment, what would be the right thing to do? As the pond on the floor kept growing he got up and hurried over. «Hello» he said as he approached him, stomach doing summersaults as he went.

«Nice to see you again» Seungyoon replied taking of his leather jacket. «Can you even see me?» Jinwoo replied stretching out a hand to take his jacket out of Seungyoon's hands without even giving it a second thought. Seungyoon wiped his face with his just as drenched t-shirt and grinned up at him «I can now, nice shirt» he noted as he spotted his borrowed muddy flannel shirt. «Thanks» he replied suddenly feeling a little twinge of embarrassment. This weren’t how he would have preferred to look for their next meeting.

«You don’t happen to have any more of those mud covered shirts?» Seungyoon asked as he inspected the floor covered with the pond he had created since walking in.

«Sorry» he added as the water kept slowly spreading out around him.

«Don’t worry about it, I’ve been thinking about adding water plants to our outdoor plants area for a while now, a pond would make it even more special». Seungyoon shook his arms a little spreading water around him «I could be the water feature» he said while taking a small twirl around himself.

Jinwoo smiled, that would have been perfect because then he would have to stay there all the time. «About the mud shirts» he began as he walked towards the backroom. Seungyoon followed, but stopped at the door watching him go and pickup his now dry shirt rom above the old radiator. «You can borrow mine, its dry now» He handed him his shirt and put up the leather jacket that he had been holding up until now for drying.

Too dazed by his smile didn’t Jinwoo even notice when Seungyoon pulled his t-shirt over his head and put on his new borrowed shirt. «Thanks» he said checking himself out in the tiny mirror on the door. Jinwoo weren’t sure how much good it would do since his pants still were soaked, but he seemed more comfortable. He recalled them having a wool blanket at the back of the storage that they used to wrap up frail flowers in case of extreme weather. He went to get it and asked as he passed if Seungyoon would like a cup of tea. He didn’t wait for his reply but looked at him expectantly when he got back for his answer.

15 minutes later and Seungyoon sat curled up on a tiny stool wrapped up in a moldy wool blanket hugging a cup of tea while Jinwoo was walking around closing up the store.

«I completely forgot to ask why you came here tonight?" Jinwoo asked sitting down on another stool next to Seungyoon sipping on his own cup of tea. «I was on my way home when a friend called me and told me he could come pick me up, but I had already stepped out into the rain so i figured he could pick me up here» Jinwoo wondered what kind of friend this would be.

«Do you want a ride?» Seungyoon asked peeking up at him over his tea.

He had already promised himself he would take the next opportunity that turned up if it meant that he could get to know Seungyoon better, but he was a bit nervous now. What if this friend was a creepy guy? what if they brought him with them somewhere far away? He found that a bit hard to believe as he watched Seungyoon slurping tea, hair poking in all directions and reading the headline «the pensioners dream garden; 10 steps to the perfect low maintenance garden» on one of the magazines beside him on the front of the counter. He wanted to stretch out a hand and flatten his hair, or to touch his pale smooth skin or even those lips..

He was brought back to reality by the bell of the shop front ringing violently and a deep voice swearing loudly. «Did your phone die from the rain or what?» The new guy yelled at Seungyoon who now was flipping through a catalogue for exotic flowers.

Jinwoo watched as Seungyoon took out his phone, looked at it and laughed «sorry I forgot to charge it this morning, it died when you hung up earlier» The stranger seemed to have calmed down already and was now taking in the scene of the two having their tea in the rain.

«So this is what you do when you aren’t putting needles in people? Drinking tea and read old women’s magazines?» he said laughing. Seungyoon just smiled and replied «I like it here, I told you why» before taking another sip of his tea. Seungyoon’s friend then stepped over to Jinwoo and reached out a hand to greet him «Song Mino, longtime friend of the granny sitting over there». Jinwoo took his hand and introduced himself and asked if he would like a cup of tea as well.

Mino had thanked him but replied no before walking around the shop for a bit. «Should we get going then?» Seungyoon asked as Jinwoo tidied up their empty mugs. He had decided to go along with them even if he was wearing a shirt partially covered in mud and was so nervous he barely could hear his inner monologue due to the loud beating of his heart.

Watching the two walk ahead of him towards the shop exit was he yet again doubting his decision and was wrecking his brain trying to think of a way out. That was when he noticed Mino lean over towards Seungyoon saying something in a low voice that sounded a lot like «he is cute»

He is who? Him? Where they talking about him just now? He hurried to catch up with them, but they had stopped talking and where now readying themselves to run though the rain.

Minos car was surprisingly nice and Jinwoo found himself wondering what kind of job Mino had. Seungyoon was in the front seat with Mino while he had the back seats for himself. They were talking between themselves again and he strained his ears to listen in, but the music from the backseat speakers made it impossible to hear anything.

«So flower boy, eh man, eh Jinwoo where do we drop you of?» Jinwoo leaned forward in his seat before replying the name of his street but made sure to mention that they could drop him off at the bus stop if they were heading in a different direction. Mino just waved his hand at him and kept driving.

They pulled up outside his apartment building 15 minutes later, rain still pouring down. He thanked them for the ride and Mino told him not to mention it. Seungyoon had smiled at him and thanked him for the tea and promised to return his shirt to him soon.

Watching the car pull out on the road again Jinwoo sighed to himself. There he was again, left to uncertainty. When would he see him again? Why had he chosen his shop to wait for Mino today? He had so many questions and no way of getting any answers to them. Wiping his nose on the dirty shirt he began walking towards the elevator. Mino and Seungyoon seemed close. Should he be worried? it didn’t seem like a romantic relationship, but still. He had mentioned that Seungyoon spent his days putting needles in people so he was probably a tattoo artist after all. He must have been working at that tattoo studio that he had passed ever so often. Now that he thought about it had several good things happened tonight, they had even talked about someone being cute. He could be cute? He sneezed and wiped his nose again. Stupid rain, he sighed and decided to take a shower as soon as he had gotten something to eat.

He woke the next morning feeling feverish and when he sat up had his head started spinning so bad he had flopped down again on the bed not to fall. A flu? Now? it was to be expected he guessed after walking around in the rain like that. He ended up spending the next week in bed with a nasty flu. Having to call in sick was bad enough, but he worried that Seungyoon might stop by while he was away. The thought of that was a lot worse than any flu right now.

His worries had proved right because when he returned to work had his co-worker told him that a stranger had stopped by with a shirt belonging to him and bought a heap of peonies.

Jinwoo had been so disappointed he had struggled to even reply to his co-worker. So he had missed him, what if he had been there? Was this it? He knew where he worked, but he had no reason to stop by a tattoo shop out of the blue. He weren’t exactly the type of person to get a tattoo after all.

The next day had he been working the first shift at the store opening up and making a few deliveries around town with another colleague. It had been exhausting and an order had accidentally been mixed up so that he had ended up having to do twice the amount of work to please the customer.

When the time came for him to walk home had he numbly made his way towards the closest bus stop. When he got there had a construction team made a huge hole in the road and told him to use the next stop as they would be sealing up much of the area shortly. This was not what he needed right now, but he looked at his watch and realized he had to hurry if he was to catch the next bus.

He hurried down the street not paying attention to anything else then his watch and had caught his bus at the last moment. Sitting on the bus had he realized that he actually had passed the tattoo shop without even looking for Seungyoon, again! His chances of seeing him were slim anyway he reassured himself and leaned back in his seat.

Arriving home had he planned on making dinner, but the day had been exhausting and he was simply too tired. He slumped down into the sofa falling asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Bzzzz Bzzzz

He woke to the doorbell ringing and he sat up slowly wondering if he had forgotten any appointments he had made. It wouldn’t be the first time, he had forgotten that his sister was coming for dinner a few weeks ago and he kept forgetting to call his mother even if he promised her to do it ever so often.

Walking down the hall he noticed how the sun was leaving warm streaks of light on the floor telling him he couldn’t have slept that long. Another Bzzzz from the door. «Yes yes» he mumbled and lifted the phone to his ear «Yes? Hello? Who is it?» he asked.

«It’s Seungyoon»

He blinked staring at the little speaker on the phone «Who? Wait? Hi?» he had dreamed about this, Seungyoon showing up at the door completely unexpected, but him actually doing it? The butterflies was taking over and he was grinning from ear to ear. «Are you planning on letting me inn or what?» «Oh, sorry!» he said and pushed the button for the door.

He was running around himself trying to figure out what to do with the little time he had before Seungyoon reached the door. He only managed to change his t-shirt and flatten his hair before he heard a couple of knocks on the door. Trying to calm himself he took in a few short breaths and walked over to the door. He stopped with his hand on the handle still finding it hard to believe that Seungyoon was on the other side of that door. «Here we go» he said to himself and opened the door.

Why did he have to look like that? This was hard enough as it was; Smug smile, white t-shirt with an open checkered shirt above with sleeves rolled up to showing off his tattoos.

«Come in» he said and moved out of the doorway. «The place is a mess, sorry» he excused as he lead the way. Seungyoon looked curiously around but didn’t look bothered about the mess. «It’s cozy» he said and Jinwoo couldn’t help but to laugh a little. Weren’t he going to explain why he was here?

«I would have cleaned up a little if I had known that you were coming» he continued looking over at Seungyoon. He leaned casually against the wall now, smiling one of those too charming smiles of his at him.«I saw you passing the studio earlier, you looked upset and I remember how your co-worker had told me you how you had been home sick for a while..» his voice trailed off and he looked like he worried that he had said too much.

He had come here on a whim? What he had said made it sound like he cared about him though, that was really nice in itself. Jinwoo weren’t sure what to say or do next, in his mind had Seungyoon taken the lead so easily when he imagined this scenario, but he were just looking around and smiling kindly at him. «I brought stuff» he said and held up the bag he had in his hand. «I hope I remembered everything». Jinwoo peeked into the plastic bag; garlic, onions, carrots, tomatoes. «You want to cook?» he asked a little surprised.

«You never asked when we were talking about it that time, but I thought it would be nice» Seungyoon scratched the back of his head as he said it and Jinwoo thought it was such a cute gesture. «I actually haven’t eaten anything yet so this is great» he replied honestly while stretching out a hand towards Seungyoon to take the groceries from him. Seungyoon didn’t hand him the bag, he grabbed his hand.

«Uhm?» Jinwoo said looking from his hand to Seungyoon. «I like you» Seungyoon said as their eyes meet. «But you probably figured that much by now». He couldn’t look away from his gaze now. «I’ve liked you since the first time we met I believe» Seungyoon continued without letting go of his hand.

«The question is; do you like me?» he said it with such an expression it reminded him more of a puppy begging to be played with then a love confession. If that was what this was? He couldn’t be completely sure.

Jinwoo blinked for a moment, what a stupid question to ask he thought to himself. Of course he liked him. He liked him so much it hurt at times. Even if he didn’t really know him yet. Had he conveyed his feeling that poorly? How to explain this without either sounding creepy or uninterested? He took a step closer and put up his bravest smile.  «I like you too» he said before taking in huge gulp of air «A lot» he added in a low voice after breathing out.

Seungyoon pulled lightly at his hand which he was still holding on to quite firmly. «I’m not good with these kinds of things» he said looking at their hands. «I’m really happy to hear that though» he continued as he kept slowly pulling him closer.

They kept exchanging these little glances in silence, both unsure of what their next move should be. He wanted to kiss him. His eyes darted to his lips ever so often, but he dared not do so.

«Dinner then?» Jinwoo finally asked to cover up for the rumbling his stomach was making more than anything else. He let go of Seungyoon’s hand and headed for the kitchen after indicating for him to follow along. Spreading out the ingredients the noticed how the actual pasta was missing. «You forgot the most important part» he said waving a bag of pasta from his cupboard in front on Seungyoon's face.

«I told you, I can’t cook» Seungyoon said with a cheesy grin on his face and watched as Jinwoo went around getting pots and pans in his tiny kitchen. He made sure to show Seungyoon how do everything so he actually did learn something and he looked to be enjoying himself immensely from doing the simplest tasks. They kept chatting about casual things, but Jinwoo made sure to sneak in a few of the questions he had been wondering about ever since they had met. They were waiting for the pasta to finish when he arrived at one of the biggest questions; the peonies.

«Can I ask you something?» he begun and looked over at Seungyoon. He nodded and tilted his head a little to the side curiously awaiting his questions. «You got your peonies the other day right? What were they for?» Seungyoon looked to be thinking about his answer for a moment.

«Want to see?» he finally replied. «See?» Jinwoo repeated not sure if he had heard him correct. Maybe he had a picture on his phone to show him? He moved closer to see whatever it was Seungyoon wanted to show him.

Seungyoon didn’t reply and before Jinwoo had completely grasped what was going on was Seungyoon standing in front of him, shirtless in the middle of his kitchen. «Oh» was all he could say. His eyes following the black and gray tattoos up his left arm up to his shoulder and onto to his chest. Above his heart was what looked like a new tattoo, still a little red. In the middle of what was an intricate pattern of something that looked like thorn covered wines was a beautiful flower. A peony.

«Do you like it?» Seungyoon asked studying his face for his reaction. «You are asking a florist if he likes a tattoo of flowers?» Jinwoo replied.

It was truly beautiful, his eyes followed the maze of vines without realizing he actually was staring at his chest. «Does it still hurt?» he asked stretching out a hand to touch it. «Only a little» Seungyoon replied seemingly happy that Jinwoo was worried for him. Jinwoo traced the pattern with his finger up Seungyoon's arm ending at the bright flower above his heart. He thought he could faintly feel the quick beating of Seungyoon's heart, but it might just be his own raging pulse. When he realized what he just had done had he quickly retracted his hand, blushed furiously and apologized.

He was too embarrassed to look at his face, but Seungyoon touched his chin lightly making him look up to meet his gaze. He had that observing, slightly curious look again that Jinwoo found so hard to read. Giving up on interpreting his expression his eyes stopped at his lips yet again. That was when the lips closed in on his, he didn’t even realize before they were brushing softly against his own. His hand found Seungyoon’s chest again, resting his palm on the flower leaning in to deepen the kiss.

He had hoped for this to happen, dreamed about it even. Now that it was happening was it a thousand times better than he had imagined.

The kiss was sweet in so many ways, both taking the time to breath and switching turns on who kissed who. Jinwoo could feel a warmth spread slowly across his body making him feel all tingly and he had to try hard not to break the kiss from smiling so much. There was a hint of something familiar to the kiss as well, but Jinwoo couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was.

It was first as he pulled away he realized. «How many of those apple licorice did you eat before coming here?» he asked holding back a giggle. Seungyoon grinned «they are a new favorite of mine» he admitted. «New?» Jinwoo repeated. «They remind me of you» Seungyoon replied shyly. It was Jinwoos turn to smile now. Seungyoon had been stuffing his face with apple licorice because of him? He found that incredibly cute for some reason.

He let his fingers trail the tattoo again before moving down the side of his stomach and up the faint line that separated his abs. «I like apple licorice as well» he mumbled half in a daze still. «I know» Seungyoon replied looking all smug before leaning in for another kiss.

A florist and a tattooist covered in eternal flowers Jinwoo thought. Now if that weren’t an enchanting pair then what was?

A few favourite dialouges that didn't make the cut ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

«Why a peony though?"

«Because of the layers, people have many layers. I like that»

«I see»

...

«I couldn’t put an onion on there now could I?»

---

“Have you always walked all the way from that bus stop? Or is that something you started doing after we met?”

“There is this coffee and smoothie place on the way to work by that stop”

“What do you usually get?”

“Freshly pressed juice”

“That doesn’t make any sense at all”

---

“You said you like it at the shop on several occasion, is it perhaps because of me?”

“Don’t flatter yourself, I just like reading magazines that target lazy pensioners”

“Okay then”

“Don’t believe everything I tell you silly”

*kiss*

Authors note: whoa 7k+ words! sorry about that! My AU's tend to end up like that. Did you like it? Round two is done! Working with Sandiun and Kwuintessence is so much fun. Remember to check out their stories for round two as well! Kwuintessence wrote my prompt this time based on the song Nevermind by Foster the People: "I will calm you in the storm and breathe you in when you are worn. Be still my love. Would it take a shooting star? To show you life can bloom when somethings breaks and when the pieces fall I'll catch them all" How great is that? go go and read!

Thank you for reading (*≧∇≦*)

Chapter 4: If this was a LINE convo, I'd be that white flower sticker swaying left to right with sparkles as it beams like an idiot. Ah! I love love love this to bits! Taehyunnie, that is your hyung - you are being sly and I LIKE IT. Woohoo! My heart started racing from the moment Jinwoo was dragged into his dark room. Taehyunnie was such a tease in the end, saying there's more where that came from. *blush*

And then we get JINYOON after. I've said this so many times but possessive and jealous Seungyoon is so damn hot and desirable in my eyes! There's just something so captivating with the way he can go from cute like a puppy to a manly man. My heart hurt after knowing that they were together before but had to part. But, it's all good because a revelation of sorts unfolds - a year later, they still love each other. They've done so in silence and now, they're not holding back. *sobs*

I swear, the dialogues are so romantic and I just wanna roll around on the floor rn. I think I've read this more than ten times now from when you sent it to me. Jinwoo being so bold, crossing the distance and closing the gap between them. Yes! Go and get your man! I was cheering so hard and I'm so delighted that Yoon acquiesced. Seungyoon saying he couldn't wait anymore was so precious. I got so much feels~

This is such a lovely read. I'm so satisfied and happy with it. Tbh, I do feel a little bad for Tahyunnie. His hyung won't be taking that offer of his and come morning he'll belong to another man. I'm pretty sure that if this will have a sequel, Seungyoon will make it very clear just who Jinwoo belongs to. Thanks for this. I LOVE IT. ❤

Chapter 3: Kyaah! OMG. There's a hint of my triangle in here. Then MinWoo and MinYoon. 2Seung brotherhood is also quite good and I appreciate it even more now that we're writing a HoonJinYoon fic together.

I got a little sad at the start, after realizing that JinYoon are having problems in their relationship. It really did feel like the real thing wherein no one wants to lower their pride first. Plus, they're both guys so it must be even tougher.

Seunghoon and his wisdom, Mino and his morning hugs. If only we can experience both. I got giddy when Jinwoo went to where Seungyoon is - go get your man! I kept repeating in my head and rejoicing. At first, I thought Jinwoo would get drunk and Seungyoon would take care of him but then the opposite happened. Drunk Seungyoon is precious! Good job, Jinwoo - for not getting lost!

The tub part is cute, sweet, and meaningful. JinYoon kissing while in the tub, , does bad things to me~ Everything made perfect sense though and was very likely and logical. The dialogues near the end really got to me and I am once again reminded about why I love this pair so much! They're just both very giving and very considerate. You can really sense that they genuinely care about each other.

Seungyoon's underwear made me laugh so much. How it happened, how it got there - I am so curious! JinYoon must have been very excited and eager, making it one heck of a first time! Bless Hoon in this. I did detect a hint of NamSong as well. Hahahahaha!  I greatly enjoyed it. The bus ride and photographer Jinwoo fitted the pictures perfectly~❤ All kinds of precious, this one. Thank you so much!
