He turned to the second page and recognized her handwriting. His gaze landed on the numbers on the upper left corner of the page and almost immediately, a tear made its way down his cheek.

I thought I would faint… I never imagined that he would say those precious words to me. He said he loves me… But since when? He could have said it but my mind stopped functioning the moment I heard “I love you" from his lips. And all I could hear was the loud and fast beating of my heart. Then there was this warmth… an unexplainable yet wonderful feeling.

I don’t know what to say… What was I supposed to say during a confession? My silence must have scared him… But he looked so cute when flustered.

“Will you be my girlfriend?”He asked for the second time, his voice seemed to be shaking. And all I could do was nod my head in response. Not a single word escaped my mouth.

Next thing I knew, he had me in his arms… holding me close and tight… as if I would vanish any time soon.

Today, I became Kwon Jiyong’s girlfriend… And this is one of the happiest days of my life.

He closed the diary, along with his eyes as tears continuously streamed down his face. She used the diary three years after it was given to her. He was her first love. No amount of alcohol would have an effect on him now. He felt guilt and pain - fresh and intensified - as his harsh words from yesterday echoed loudly in the silence and coldness of the night.
