“So, what do you think?” Youngji asks, as she sets a freshly blended yogurt smoothie in front of him, with two straws inside.  She arranges herself in the seat directly across from him at their secluded corner table of her family’s café.

Jackson rubs his eyes and adjusts his black baseball cap, looking up from the open drama script into Youngji’s wide, hopeful, expectant eyes.  His eyes follow the movement as she catches her bottom lip in her pearly white teeth, and bites down (a nervous habit).

He recalls the stark, black letters of the stage directions, he read just moments before, jumping out of the crisp white script pages of Another Miss Oh.  Things like -

"Hold hands,

Link arms,

Put your head on his shoulder,

Hug,

Lie down on the bed,

Kiss…kiss

…KISS!”

Fill Jackson's head.   

He shuts his eyes tight and shakes his head to clear thoughts of Youngji and too much skinship (with someone that was not him) from his thoughts. 

When he opens his eyes again, Youngji looks on at him with concern, her eyebrows furrowed. 

“You don’t like it.” She blurts,
