21 January 2017 (Saturday), 1 p.m.

A black van stopped across the street in front of the Roommate house. A young man in his early 20's got out of the van and took out his luggage bag from the back.

Once his stuff was removed, the van departed, leaving him by the side of the street. He didn't seem too worried about being alone. He took a step back as he tried to admire the front of the house that he is about to enter.

Guntae : Is this the house? I hope I got the address right...

He walked towards the house with his luggage bag next to him. After taking a deep breath, he rang the doorbell. As excited as he was, he felt like he just made a leap of faith as he was finally going to meet his new roommates.

However, it was still only Kyunghwan in the house. He was laying down on the couch in the living room when he heard the doorbell ring.

Kyunghwan : Oh! Is that them?

He immediately got up and walked away from the living room. He went straight to the intercom, as if he was looking forward to using it to greet people.

Kyunghwan : Who is this?

Guntae : Annyeonghaseyo! My name is Park Guntae. I'm here to be your new roommate.

Kyunghwan : Ah! I see... Welcome to the Roommate residence! I'll unlock the door for you!

Guntae heard a buzzing sound by the door. He figured out that it must mean that the entrance door was unlocked.

When he entered, he was greeted by Kyunghwan who just stepped out of the house.

Kyunghwan : Guntae-ssi!

Guntae : Oh! Kyunghwan hyung!

Kyunghwan walked towards Guntae and shook hands before giving him a hug in the end.

Kyunghwan : It's been a long time since I've seen you!

Guntae : I missed you too, hyung! I feel so much better knowing you're here!

Kyunghwan : Why did you join Roommate?

Guntae : I just thought it would be a lot of fun to live with other people. Besides, there are female roommates too, right?

Kyunghwan laughed as Guntae jokingly explained his reason for being here. He was very popular when he was younger, portraying a character in the TV drama 'May Queen', with Kim Yoojung acting as the love interest.

They both entered the house. Guntae was amazed with the interior design. He finally felt like he was really going to live with many other people, which to him was still an unbelievable experience soon to be had.

Kyunghwan smiled as he looked at the disbeliefed young man. He could feel the excitement that Guntae must be feeling at that moment.

Kyunghwan : It's just us at the moment. Four people went to the supermarket. You can keep me company from now on.

Guntae laughed as he realized that there were others before him and Kyunghwan.

Guntae : And here I thought I was early... Which room do I stay in?

Kyunghwan : Did you get an envelope?

Guntae : Yes, I did!

He took out an envelope that he kept in his back pocket and revealed his given number to Kyunghwan.

Guntae : 5.

Kyunghwan : Ah... then your room is over there! Room 5.

Kyunghwan pointed his finger to the room at the end of the living room. Guntae noticed the room and how it had the number '5' placed on the door.

Guntae : So these are room numbers! I see...

Suddenly, the doorbell rang again. Kyunghwan heard it and went to see who it was. He stopped Guntae from following along.

Kyunghwan : Go ahead and put your stuff in your room first. I'll handle it.

Guntae : Okay, hyung. I'll be right back!

Guntae went ahead and entered Room 5, along with his luggage bag. Like me, he saw two mattresses on the floor and a bathroom door. However, there was something in the room that I had left and forgotten.
