We were walking down the street

“you know, I dreamt about this” he says

“dreamt about what?” I ask

“this” he holds my hand as we walked

“we were walking down this street. I was holding your hand” he smiles

“and then what happened?” I look up at him

“we just kept on walking and walking” he swings our hands

“that sounds a bit boring” I laugh

The street was quiet, there were a few stars out and it was just the two of us

“what happened when we reached the end of the street?” I asked as we neared the end

“I didn’t get to that part. I woke up”

I stop walking and face him when we reached the end

“lean into me” I say

He leans in and I kiss his cheek

“was that a good ending?”
