"Grandpa, Grandma, I'm home!" It was past ten by the time Tiffany reached home, the first time ever that she was home this late. Her grandparents did not answer her as they both sat on the living room's sofa, both faces gloomy.

Tiffany, who noticed the unusual behaviour, cautiously approached her grandparents. "Grandpa, Grandma, I'm sorry for not informing you that I will be home late. I was too carried away that I caused you worries. I'm s-"

"Miyoung-ah," Grandma Hwang cut her off. "It's all right, my child. That is not the issue."

Tiffany's head bent to her right as she looked clueless to her grandma. "Did you forget something important?"

This time, Tiffany was even clueless. What was her grandma referring to? She did feel like she's forgotten something, but she couldn't recall what it was. Her mind's currently clouded with thoughts of her dear classmate. No, what? She's been entirely out of her mind for the whole day, not just currently.

Her grandmother sighed and slightly shook her head as she couldn't read what was going on with her grandchild. Since a kid, Tiffany has never forget important things. She would always be on mark before anyone reminds her. She decided to stop the guessing game and get straight to the point.

"You've forgotten you need to do a Skype call with your father at eight, supposedly after dinner. And, he was fuming mad about it for he couldn't reach you." Tiffany's face turned horrified as she knew she would have to face her dad's wrath later. "We tried telling him that you were doing assignments with your classmate. He did not buy it but dismissed it as an unacceptable excuse. Sorry, my child. You have to handle it yourself."

"Thanks, grandma, grandma... Sorry to put you in a bad spot. I will try to give him a call later." She hugged both her grandparents before heading upstairs to her own room.

She quickly picked up a new set of pyjamas and towel, then headed to take a quick shower. Usually, she would take her own sweet time in the shower enjoying being submerged in the bathtub. But tonight, she timed herself somewhere less than ten minutes. Imagine speeding up her bathing process, she was totally exhausted once she was out of the shower and already seated in front of her laptop.
