Between Black and White
Description
The world that they lived in was black and white.
You were either god or bad
There was no "in between".
Only one person dared to cross the line between light and dark.
It was a duty entrusted upon a sole woman.
To act as a savior during the day.
And as a slayer during the night.
In a world such as this for her there was an absence of color.
Until one day her dutiful and devoted companion will open her eyes to a separate world.
They will put all the rules to the test.
They will destroy the barrier of black and white.
They will see past gray and find a world filled with color.
What the two of them will discover will not be black nor white.
It will be red, a bright and a warm passionately burning color.
As sweet and gentle as the fire that warms a home.
Yet as wild and dangerous as the fire that destroys forests.
What these two two will find in their black and white world is a most precious emotion.
It is love.

Yoona POV
All my life I have been called gifted. It was because I was born with the ability to see beyond.
To see past lies. To see past truth.
To see the light. To see the dark...
They all call it a gift. They are full of nothing but lies.
I am nothing more than a mere tool.
They took me away from the place I called home.
I was placed on a throne in a large palace where they worshipped me.
It became my duty to bless this land and rid it of its demons.
During the day I am a mask of serenity and helplessness. An icon for those of this land to worship me as their goddess.
But at night I am a merciless killer.
To the darkness I am the enemy.
To the light I am a weapon.
I am separated from mortality. I am apart from immortality. I am alone.
Everyday I must act divine but I am reminded of my humanity at night.
All I know is black and white...
I only have one wish with my "gift".
Let me be able to see color.
Yuri POV
My father was orphaned at the age of five and grew up on the streets.
He became a strong fighter. Strong enough to be recruited for the king's personal guard.
So it was natural as his only offspring that I became a soldier as well.
To protect and give my life to the king.
But very early in my life I knew that my heart could never belong to the king.
For I had already found my Lady.
She was a legend in the kingdom. We called her our Sacred Heart.
In my 12th year of life I had my first glimpse of her.
It surprised me to see that she was naught but a child.
I was on my way to the stables when I stumbled onto the palace gardens.
There she was amongst a bed of white daisies, fast asleep.
A small girl of only 10 but the rumors were no lie.
She was absolutely beautiful and enchanting.
So fragile and pure.
I took a step forward for a closer look.
But alas my steps woke her from her slumber as she opened her big round doe-eyes.
She seemed started at first but quickly regained her composure and scowled.
"Are you here to kill me too?"
My heart broke and shattered at the sound of her voice.
I fell to my knees.
A force beyond myself stirred and strung the broken pieces of my heart back together.
It was her.
I took a shaky breath.
"No my Lady, I am here to serve you. I am your humble servannt."
I lifted my head to look at my Lady.
Her warm eyes bore into mine.
I was under a spell.
From that day on I was bound to her.
