Ephesians 4:1-3
"I can still sit here, right?”
Minhyuk looked up and chuckled at a slightly worried Krystal who was nervously biting her lip. “Of course,” he said as he cleared his belongings.
Audibly sighing in relief, Krystal happily sat down next to him. She had arrived to class a bit earlier than usual just to make sure she’d be able to sit next to Minhyuk. And her argument was that she just didn’t want to sit next to Kai, and the only other person she knew enough to sit next to was Minhyuk. After settling down, she asked, “So do you like this class?”
He turned to her curiously, internally wondering why she had suddenly asked such a question, before realizing she was trying to make conversation. Smiling at that fact, he nodded. “Yeah, I do. You?”
She shrugged in reply. “Not my favorite,” she admitted. She then lowered her voice before asking, “I’m not a huge fan of the teacher.”
Minhyuk chuckled, understanding immediately what Krystal meant. Their professor, the infamous Professor Song Jihyo, was pretty nice but could be scarily strict when it comes to tardiness on anything. Tardiness to class, tardiness in turning in homework, tardiness to everything. For example, one kid walked into class as the bell rang, and Professor Song gave him a warning for being late. She only gave the warning because she wished to be fair.
“Professor Song is nice overall though,” Minhyuk defended their teacher in a low voice as well.
Krystal shrugged again. “Mm, I gues-”
“Why are you guys whispering?” Someone suddenly intruded their conversation, and the two quickly looked up to see a classmate- the notorious and nosy class clown- looking down at them curiously.
“None of your business, Park Hyungshik,” snapped Krystal.
Unfazed by her attitude, Hyungshik only raised an eyebrow. “No need to be so snappy,” he sniffed. He then furrowed his eyebrows and pointed at the two in front of him. “But when did you guys become so close? From what I’ve seen, you guys didn’t even once look at each other the entire year till yesterday.”
“Yah, Park Hyungshik, stop bothering us and go hit on that girl you like. Who was it again? Nam Ji-”
Hyungshik hurriedly covered Minhyuk’s mouth with his hands. “Be quiet,” he hissed as his head whipped around to make sure no one was eavesdropping although nobody could possibly be listening to the three considering how loud and occupied everybody was.
Minhyuk calmly removed Hyungshik’s hands from his mouth. “You don’t like it when we talk about your business, right? Same with us. So go away.” He then thought for a moment before continuing. “Or you’re welcome to stay and talk with us about something else.”
Both Hyungshik and Krystal gaped at him, one startled and another impressed.
Looking a bit lost for words, Hyungshik pouted, “Fine! I see how it is. I’ll leave.”
Krystal couldn’t he
