Final Day (Part 5)
Sharing the Last SunsetAfter our meal, I grabbed him up for a walk. I plan to go back to the place where he first kissed me, the same place where he first cried and I was the only person that can be with him. It was the bay near the diner, just a few walks from the restaurant. Usually, after our dates on the pub we would walk our way to the bay and have the longest talks. We would sit down on a bench near a light post, overseeing the beautiful sea as the sun bids goodnight.
It was a long walk and both of us are silent, as if savoring the moment. We both know that the day is coming to an end. And personally, I just want this stretch to last forever. I don’t want to say goodbye. I look at him trying to hold back the tears. I need to be strong, we still have tonight, up until the sun sets.
The people at the bay area is already piling and it is hard to look for a spot. Fortunately, a couple offered their seat to us and it was our usual spot. I let him sit beside me. We were just in time and the sun was about to set. Memories came rushing back again and it played on the back of my mind. The very first time he brought me here, our first kiss, the moment he cried, and all his words in between.
