Somebody to rely on

Jealousy and desires

Hey guys. I'm back. I do hope you enjoy this chapter. It is kind of slipshot but it's mainly because I really don't have the time to go really in depth like how I write for compositions in school. So much homework, so many books, too little Apink, too little time. *Tears hair out*. Well, see you in the next chapter at a different time then. I won't leave this fic hanging as promised. :)

ps: Pardon my grammer and spelling mistakes, I can tolerate it but It'll have to do for now. I'll maybe edit it when the time comes.  Now on to the chapter.

Chorong gazed at Bomi  watching her write on the paper with barely concealed worry and concern. While she was excited at Bomi's casting for Real Men, part of her wanted to jump up and hug the younger girl, enveloping her in her warmth and tell her that everything is gong to be fine. Stay strong and that she'll will miss her terribly. But of course, Chorong couldn't allow personal feelings to interfere with Bomi's career of variety.

It's what she's adept at, making people happy. That is exactly why Chorong found herself to be so attracted to Bomi in the first place. Chorong had her doubts when Acube announced that Bomi is going to be filming for Real Men for 5 days. What convinced her otherwise was Bomi's inability to be unlikeable. This is going to be a beneficial chance for Bomi to create awareness for herself and Apink despite their already large fanbase. Chorong was sure that Bomi was going to pull it off. She wasn't going to cry, she wasn't going to be defeated by brutal trainings in the military.

At their dorm, when Bomi was taking her weight, Chorong merely smiled, supressing all her emotions of fear deep inside her. It was as if Chorong was the one going to the military not Bomi. Chorong looked at Eunji, scanning her expression. The singer had a huge smile on her face seeming to be pretty cheery as always, was she not at all worried about Bomi? Maybe that's what different about them, Chorong and Eunji. Eunji trusts Bomi, without thinking, Eunji knows for sure that Bomi would do fine while Chorong worried incessantly.

Eunji is a steady, head strong woman while Chorong is an unstable wave of emotions. For some reason, Chorong felt bad for her relationship with Bomi. Eunji will be a much better match for Bomi. She thought about charges for a moment, like charges repel, unlike charges attract but somehow, this doesn't always apply.

Chorong stared blankly at Bomi's baggage containing necessities to bring to the military. Bomi was preparing to leave their room for 5 days. An unbearable pain seared in Chorong's heart. They had to go to China to perform, without Bomi, the stage will most probably feel empty. It was only then that Chorong reflected on how important Bomi is to her and to Apink.

Bomi turned back to Eunji, eyes glimmering, who was sitting beside Chorong, smiling, and Chorong who was frowning involuntarily. "See you in five days. Have fun in China without me! You'll have to make the maknaes laugh for me, Eunji," Bomi laughed.

"I will. Take care Bbom-ah, tell me all about it when you get back," Eunji waved enthusiastically. Chorong suddenly felt sick to her stomach, figuring that silence was the best remedy for it.

When Chorong didn't anything for an unsually longer period of time than expected, Bomi sighed in defeat, wrapping her arms around the leader, whispering, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Nothing can affect me as much as you do," Chorong shivered in unexpected happiness. Bomi was so close that Chorong could feel her hot breath radiating on her neck. Eunji, eyes widening didn't catch Bomi's muffled words but still beaming, hugged them too and it became an unnie-line hug, one full of confidence and trust.

After saying goodbye to the maknaes Bomi left the dorm. From in her room, Chorong's vision began to deteriorate with tears.

Chorong was assigned the seat beside Naeun in the airplane to China. The plane was chilly, piercing into Chorong's sweater with ease. People rushed about, stuffing their huge bags into the compartments overahead. Air stewardessess with smiles plastered across their faces full of makeup bowed and articulated greetings to passengers clearly.

Like always, Chorong had to initiate conversations with the younger girl which Chorong doesn't like doing very much. If necessassary, Chorong could spend the whole journey not speaking to Naeun but she decided that she had to consider Naeun's feelings too. Chorong shouldn't bore her. Naeun was quieter than Chorong but on that day she was usually so causing Chorong to worry. Almost immediately when Naeun sat down at the aisle seat, Chorong asked, "Naeunie what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

Naeun turned to her with a look of quizzical surprise, the styrofoam coffee cup in her hand nearly slipping from her grasp. "Huh? Oh...I'm fine," she drawled out, slumping into her seat awkwardly.

Chorong's eyes narrowed to Naeun's feet than back to her eyes, "It's your ankle right? Why didn't you rest?"

Naeun, surprised at how observant Chorong is, spoke with an incresingly high tone of voice, "How did you know? I didn't want anyone to know about it except the staff. I want to perform normally with Apink. Take it as nothing happened, please?"

There was an underlying tone of voice in Naeun's words that Chorong couldn't quite pinpoint. She knew that something else was bothering the younger girl but she had to understand her ankle first. "You can't expect me to not care about your injuries Naeun. How did it happen?"

"When I was buying snacks, I tripped on a ledge. There's nothing to worry about. Really unnie," Naeun spoke in short pauses and decided that the conversation was over for that hour. Chorong getting absolutely nothing out of Naeun, looked out the window. Somewhere below them, Bomi is suffering, Bomi is training, Bomi is her source of happiness.

The plane gradually took off into the orange, cloudless sky like a shark in the water.

Roughly about 2 hours into their filght, the thought that Naeun had another problem, gripped Chorong abruptly from the back of her mind. She paused the movie she was watching without any comprehension, pullled off her headphones and shook Naeun, intending to talk to her seriously this time. "Naeun, Naeun ah."

Naeun regarded Chorong with a curious expression before fully giving Chorong her attention. "What is it unnie?"

"Tell me, how to you feel about Eunji?" Chorong swallowed.

At that, Naeun stammered like never before, "What...what do you mean?"

"You like her right?" I can see it in your eyes, Naeun," Chorong hated the words tumbling out of but she had to sooner or later.

"I do like her but not in that way, not like how you make it out to be" Naeun glanced down at her cold, slim fingers. "She's a really good listener and she never stops smiling, not like me."

A wave of familiarity flooded Chorong's heart. It sounds an awful like her and Bomi. Bomi makes her happy, Eunji makes Naeun happy. "I know what you mean," Chrong dazedly said, mind still thinking about Bomi in the military.

"Bomi?" Naeun smiled knowingly.

"Yes, yes, Bomi " Chorong closed her eyes, reclining her head back on the soft cushioned chair and admitted. There was no point in hiding anything from Nauen who experiences the same thing is there?

"I knew it!" Naeun shouted a little too loudly eliciting a few stares at their direction.

"Are you 100% sure that you don't like Eunji in that way?" Chorong asked again, refusing to let the matter rest. The uneasiness in her chest won't stop growing.

"Maybe 50% sure?" Naeun frowned, fighting her own internal battle.

"Look, you like Eunji. I like Bomi," Chorong really was being selfish.

"I...I...okay. I'll accept it. Eunji always treated me well. But she is always looking at Bomi not me."
"There is out first problem. I'll let you in on a little secret. I think Eunji likes Bomi, to put it vaguely, I'm not sure of it myself."

Naeun doesn't appear to be too startled by the news, was it that obvious? Chorong continued more at herself than at Naeun, "but I don't really want to break them apart either. I'm an idiot if I do that. Good night Naeun, see you in China." Pinching the bridge of her nose, Chorong leaned back again wanting to sleep, letting dreamland take her away. She didn't want to think about Bomi, or Eunji or Naeun or Apink or reality. All she wanted is her imagination. If Bomi appeared in her dream as well, she is really going to decide that she is crazy.

"We'll just have to let nature take its course. Unnie..."

Chapter 7: I love love love love LOVE this chapter, this ending, oh my god it's so AMAZINGLY GOOD *curses in rainbows* We've come to the end of my comment takeover with this absolutely gorgeous final chapter, which, out of everything, I just come back to over and over again. ARGH it both pains me and floods me with love~ It's wonderful and perfect, every single word. From Chorong believing she loves Bomi more than Bomi loves her, Bomi being a free spirit (big yes), being afraid to love, better to let go, how everyone is worried, and then comes Bomi. There she sits, observant and listening, her sentence in caps made me giggle too (that's so like her hahaha). God, the way she responds simply to Chorong's slip of the tongue after everything that's been said, "I love you too" to "I will always, always love you back" !!! And it keeps going. They can be together now and keep it a secret awww I feel so happy for Chorong~ the depiction of the love they feel here is so unbelievably simple and fantastic *sobs* And the ending is damn impactful! That description and then "Bomi had never looked more gorgeous" *sighs dreamily* This is what a mic drop in a fluff fic would sound like. Fcking BOOM.

I'm IN LOVE with the shortness and sweetness of this story. This is my favourite ending ever, top of the top. Never has an ending of a story for me been so impactful like this one! Satisfying endings are abundant yes, but honey this one is MORE than just satisfying. It's a mega squeal factor. I can't even- I don't know. This is my inspiration and my love.

Chapter 6: This one never fails to make me squee too UGH so good. The description of the concert, the feelings, the fans, it set the scene so well. The way the chapter ended with a kiss, "much like the first time they kissed" is completely right, there's a parallel there with that chapter and I love it. Goshh it's so calm, peaceful and sweet, in the night in the car, when everyone is asleep, two members' secret desire for a kiss after strategically avoiding and resisting interactions in front of the hundreds of fans at the concert. I drop my uwus. Bomi's whisper at the end always has me in pure and utter joy.

Chapter 5: I've been writing a chobom fic based off of Apink's real life activities and this story is one of my inspirations to write better! I just really look up to this, how sweet and real it is. This chapter is where my fic gets similar because we're both following the schedule closely. I should say, when it came to the five of them going to China, I ended up using Nacho as seatmates for my own reasons because I needed Naeun's character there (Nacho didn't sit together that flight, I'm pretty sure), but this was where the idea sprung from. I remembered this scene with Nacho, but for the longest time I didn't know what fic it came from... and it was here! I fell in love with this fic all over again when I found out hehe. "Look, you like Eunji, I like Bomi" was the part that stuck to memory because of how simple and direct it was.

Chapter 4: Right when I love one chapter, the next one comes and does it even better! I can imagine Bomi zoning out in the mirror haha. Starting from Namjoo who I relate to in this instance of chobom excitement~ how "Bomi's slim fingers wrapped around Chorong's hand on the cup" was so smooooth, oh man and "Chorong whose face flushed slightly at the contact" UWU. Bomi calling the members as the 2nd eldest.. But the power of the kissing scenes in this fic, I really feel it. Every moment is important between them and that's described so beautifully.

Chapter 3: The maknaes uwu I seriously love the observant Namjoo. Also that Chobom eye contact. "Chorong looked away so quickly, that Bomi felt a little insulted." <-- You have no idea how much I love this line, it matches the underlying feels that there could be something more to the relationship now, especially after that interview where Chorong had to nudge Bomi to stop staring asdfsafdas. This is precious. And pretend-whispering just to kiss Chorong's cheek, gosh Yoon Bomi, that action is so sweet! I applaud authornim how you came up with that, because it makes me squee~

Chapter 2: AHHH I love this moment so much >.< the reciprocation, the feels, the simplicity, that kiss!! “Gentle and soft” oomph I’m in love~ how on earth? It’s fluffy, it’s calm, there’s no angst or drama, and the feelings are developing slowly there in both of them, but Chorong, my oh my, the way it ended in a lovely surprise.. this was so wholesome uwu

Chapter 1: Chorong's thoughts were ugh perfect, that cold depressive side, it was depicted so well >-< having those wandering thoughts as she's washing the dishes makes it feel more sad, mundane, and real. And then Bomi, argh, her changing disposition, the pressure of variety. These qualities are touched upon in just a matter of sentences and it blows me away how simple and powerful it is, these are things they definitely dealt with.
And the innocence and sweetness in Bomi's kisses, the way she views Chorong, the imagery was just beautiful wow. "The dim light from the television illuminated Chorong's perfect jawline" for instance. This is so well-written uwu

Chapter 7: I need to say how badly in love with this story I am, seriously. It is short and well-crafted, and is one of the absolute best and cutest depiction of real life chobom. It is my personal favourite in that category, partially because it's set in early 2015 so the army and the concert is involved, but mainly because of all the fictional elements weaved into a realistic life. The kisses and how almost nonchalant it started brought me unbelievable joy. Namjoo's speculations. Chorong's confession, which would make their relationship more clear. God! People don't talk about this fic enough!! I have so many things to say and will continue to share my love for this fic cos I want to, so perhaps I'll have more to say coming back in the future, if I have time. Dear lovely story, stay where you are and don't go anywhere. I cherish you deeply.
