Flowers

Youngji was just unlocking the gate to her house after a busy day at work. She was extremely tired that all she wanted to do was sleep when she got back home.

The moment she entered the house, she noticed a bouquet of flowers at the foot the door. She picked it up and smiled, knowing who it was from. She immediately knew that the flowers were a present from him.

'He must have left it there before he left on his business trip,' Youngji surmised.

It was a beautiful bouquet filled with roses. There were 3 different colors of roses; red, yellow and white. There was an envelope at the back of the bouquet. Youngji opened it and found a letter.

Dear Youngji,

I know that you're surprised and must be wondering why I did this. It's simple. It's because I love you.

The red roses convey deep emotions be it love, longing or desire; all of which I feel for you. I don't know if you counted or no but there are 12 red roses and that means 'Be mine' and 'I love you'.

The white roses meanwhile symbolize new beginnings. It means my new beginning with you. You changed me for the better. You made me into the Jackson that I am today and I can't be more thankful.

The yellow roses are my favorite. They symbolize friendship. Our friendship is something very special to me. It means the world to me. I'm happy that you're my friend and my lover.

The tiredness that Youngji felt flew away. She was extremely touched that Jackson had put in so much of thought into the bouquet of flowers. She couldn't help but fall in love more with him because of his sincerity. 

She decided to take the bouquet of flowers and transfer it into a vase. When she neared the store room to look for a vase, she noticed another bouquet of flowers nearby the door of the storeroom.

She picked it up and noticed that the flowers were tulips. Some were pink, some were red and some were yellow. When she touched the tulip petals, she noticed a piece of paper slotted in between the flowers.

Dear Queen,

I know that you'll come looking for a vase to keep the roses. That is why I left the tulips here.

Tulips signifies a declaration of love. It also symbolizes perfect love which is what I think our love is. It's perfect in my eyes because I just can't ask anything better than this. I truly believe that I'm a gifted man to have you.

I especially  love what the yellow tulips signify. They mean 'the sunshine in your smile'. Your smile is the one thing that I always want to see everyday. I love the way your mouth curves upward, your pearl white teeth shines and your eyes twinkle. Your perfect smile is forever etched in my brain and heart. You have got no idea how fast my heart races whenever you smile. I just feel so happy when you're happy.
