After everyone else had trickled into the dance practise room, Sehun and Jongin stood at the front with the managers, while the trainees sat.   "We're going to split you into groups again, now that we have someone new with us. You're going to act like it always happened, do you understand? The existence of Haejin in this group never happened." the manager said sharply, and was received with a chorus of 'Yes Sir's.   "So. Taeyong, Jimmy, Jessica, Hyoyeon and Heidi - you will be in Sehun's dance class and Baekhyun's vocal class. The rest will be in Jongin's, and Kyungsoo's." he started. "You will notice on your schedules that all ten of you are together for group trainings. Competitions will include a solo dance and vocal performance, and will take place every Saturday, and the public will vote on the person they want to stay. The girl and boy with the least votes will be out. The date of the first performance is in a month."   At this I flinched. My stomach dropped as I contemplated how much time I had to improve.    "When we get down to four people left, we will include a group performance with a member of EXO-K in the competitions. Let's begin - If Jongin's class could go next door, thank you."    When we were left with the cameras in the corner, and simply with just Sehun and Baekhyun, there was a short period of silence before they started talking.   "Hello, I'm Sehun, and I'll be your dance advisor for this competition." Sehun said formally. Baekhyun did a similar introduction.   "How about we sit in a circle, and we'll tell each other about ourselves." Baekhyun suggested, and we all silently arranged ourselves.    "We can do the name, age and a fun fact thing, just like in nursery." Sehun said with a humorous undertone.    "My name is Jessica, and I'm 19 years old. I guess a fun fact about me is that my sister is also a trainee at the moment." Sheesh she was prettier in person, I noted despairingly.    "I'm Hyoyeon, and I'm 20. My dream is to become the best housewife." she said with a casual shrug. I couldn't believe it. The Hyoyeon was in my group - she was the best dancer ever. Ever. I took a moment to process that this was my competition with a heavy heart before what she said registered in my head. I looked to her with wide eyes, surprised.   "...Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked me strangely and I realised that I had been staring and flushed.    "Sorry I just thought - I mean, I was just surprised - " I fumbled, feeling increasingly embarassed before finally blurting, "It's just that's my dream too."    She froze in surprise for a minute before her face broke out into a wide smile.    "We're going to get on well." she told me with a grin, and I laughed.    It was then my turn. I smiled awkwardly after this interaction as they stared at me.   "Hello, my name is Heidi and I am 16 years old." I said quietly. I then paused, smiling brightly as I racked my brain for a 'fun fact'. "I used to do gymnastics professionally but quit last year due to a knee injury."     The next boy was Taeyong. He was so gorgeous, with sharp defined cheekbones and jawline, and his eyes were a soft brown that looked kind.    ...he was really good looking.   "I'm Taeyong, 17 years old. I have a phobia of germs - it's not that bad but I've been diagnosed with it so..." he ended with a rather embarrassed chuckle.   "My name is Jimmy and I am 18. I'm not very interesting." the last boy said rather coldly.    I didn't think it was a very good move - if we were voted by the public then we had to do lots of interesting things for the camera, and have a good personality.   "Right. We're going to go over some of our, as in EXO-K's, dance routines, and then split into individual routines a bit later." Sehun said lightly, and got up.   "So how much of our routines do you know?" Baekhyun asked. Taeyong and Jimmy immediately stated that they knew all the choreography. Jessica had no clue about any and Hyoyeon only knew a couple songs.   "And you, Heidi?"   "I know all of your routines." I said hesitantly. "But I haven't performed any of them."   "You do? That's impressive." Sehun complimented with a nod. "Let's start with MAMA."    Taeyong, Jimmy and I stood at the front with Sehun and Baekhyun at the back and performed the whole routine. Jessica and Hyoyeon just watched from the side. I remembered Jongin oppa's corrections and worked hard to make sure I stuck with them, as well as adding on a few facial expressions. I added some of my own feel to the music as well, including a few waves there, a hair flick there, etc.   Sehun distributed his comments after we were done, but generally he was very complimentary to the three of us.   "You remind me of someone when you dance." Baekhyun told me with a smug glint in his eyes. I cocked my head in confusion and pretended I didn't know what he was talking about.  "You dance really similarly to Kai. Do you take inspiration from him as a dancer?" he asked, and Sehun stifled a laugh. I fought hard not to glare at them both for putting me on the spot in front of the rest of the trainees and the cameras.   "Yes, I respect Kai-sunbaenim's dancing, but I mostly take inspiration from Taemin-sunbaenim and Sehun-sunbaenim." I said smoothly. I subtly elbowed Baekhyun when I passed him in revenge while Sehun stifled a snort.   The rest of the practise was spent going over my individual routine while Jessica and Hyoyeon learnt MAMA. My first routine was a slow one, which surprised me because both the boys had fast, powerful routines. I was doing a lyrical dance, with many turns and some use of my gymnastics. It was a lovely routine, and reminded me of when I first started dancing.   We finished around 8 in the evening, and I immediately left to go to the showers. After a quick shower and a change of clothes, I braided my hair into a wet side plait before returning to the dance room.   I was slightly surprised to find that Jessica and Hyoyeon were still there, practising.   "Hello." I said sheepishly as they turned to me at the door. "Sorry, I thought this room would be free."    They shared a look before shrugging.    "It's ok." Jessica said. "We need to practise because we need to get this routine down before we can learn our individual ones - which are more important."   I nodded in understanding.    "It's a difficult routine, but I'm sure you can get it down by tomorrow."
