We were just waiting for the managers to sort something out regarding a malfunctioning camera when suddenly two hands blocked my vision. I grabbed at one of the hands to find that it was smooth and warm and wrinkled my nose in displeasure.

"Who is it?" I asked to no one in particular and was met with Hyo unnie's amused snort.

"Guess." a deep soft voice said and I immediately beamed.

"Tae oppa!" I cheered and pulled the hands away. I turned to see Taeyong with his hood up looking at me with a slight upturning of his lips. 

"Long time no see. You guys better win too because our win is pretty much decided already." he said casually while sitting next to us.

"How come?" Hyo remarked disbelievingly. He smirked at her while shrugging, looking rather full of himself.

"Most of the other team are singers." 

Jess gave him a severly unimpressed look while Hyo whacked him on the shoulder and made him recoil, holding the harmed place pitifully with a yelp. 

"That's not a determined win you idiot, look at Jess! You're going to lose with your cockiness, I just know it, and you're going to make us look bad!" she scolded, receiving an obedient 'Sorry noona..' in return. Looking at the pout on his face I couldn't help but start laughing. At first look he seemed like a cold person who didn't believe in humour due to his resting face but once you got to know him he was actually pretty hilarious.

"We're starting now, didn't you hear?" a surprisingly angry voice said sternly and I followed the black trackies in front of us up to see an annoyed looking Jongin oppa. 

"Sorry..." I said confusedly with a tilt of my head. I hadn't heard them say anything - we hadn't been that loud, had we? To my surprise, he didn't say anything and just turned away. 

"Well someone got out the wrong side of the bed this morning." I muttered.

"He doesn't seem very happy with us." Taeyong muttered in my ear and I agreed with a nod. I wonder why he was being so stressy - did he have a lot on his mind lately? I made a mental note to ask him later.

"Maybe it's his tactic to try and get us to worry before the competition so we don't perform as well." Hyo suggested quietly and I couldn't help but let out another giggle. It was only then that I realised that the practice room was pretty much packed with people - ranging from trainees to managers they were all either seated or standing in front of the mirrors. Nudging Jessica I pointed this out and she whispered, "It's an open practice, and others were invited to come watch. Don't be nervous, we were picked because we were better than them anyway okay?" Nodding hesitantly I turned my attention to the front. 

The boys of Jongin's group went first and introduced their pieces.

"Guys I think I've forgotten the routine." Jess mumbled and while I inwardly panicked, Hyo didn't look fazed in the slightest. She then told me quietly that Jess always got lke this before stages, but usually managed to pull through. I bit my lip nervously, not wanting to mess up in front of the cameras.. or Jongin oppa. How he acted early was still bugging me and I was dying to ask him if he was really mad at me.

"So with a win of heads, Jongin's team is performing first with a remix of 'Sorry Sorry' by SJ." Baekhyun finalised. Everyone quietened down while they stood in a streamlined position across the space and the familiar beginning of the famous song resonated throughout the practice room. I started to move gently to the strong beat and watched them perform with focus.
