Siwon's P.O.V.

Standing in one of the less crowded corners of the huge and pompous decorated hall, Siwon stared into the crowd in front of him with his mind spaced out.

He was holding a glass with some water in it in his hands and took a sip from time to time, wearing a frozen smile on his face.

He didn't feel comfortable around the people he saw and he would never will, because he never had.

Watching the scene in front of him, Siwon couldn't help but to judge the people he saw. They were all wearing the most expensive dresses and suits, drinking the best wine and eating food from star cooks. The whole hall was fancy with golden lights and potraits hanging on the walls. Decorations of flowers and other eye-catching things made the picture nearly perfect, if not for the use of the party.

It wasn't one of those you had fun at or you visited, because it was a joyful event you celebrated. No this was one of his fathers business parties and as the son of one of the most powerful CEO's he had to participate to it.

His whole life he had been raised to be the next successor of the company his family had owned for generations by now. The tall boy always tried to satisfy his strict father and always did his best in school and private life to make the elder proud of him.

But it never seemed to be enough and Siwon had to realize that no matter how hard he tried he would never be accepted the way he was. He wasn't the son his father wanted, he wasn't all focused on success and how to make money no matter what.

He had been a kind person to begin with and it made him think a lot and that wasn't what you needed to rule a company in his fathers eyes.

Being different didn't suit the others attitude towards life and so, the young man couldn't take it anymore. The whole pressure of being perfect in every way and supressing who he really was bothered Siwon more and more until he told his dad he wouldn't take over the company. Since then the CEO had treated him different. Even more cold and the disappointment was written all over the elders face and he didn't hesitate to show it.

But to keep his good image the man acted all nice with his son in public and did all that was needed to let it seem as if Siwon was still a proud part of the family, but the truth was another one. Both males barely got along anymore and family meetings became more of a duty instead of a coming home.

Looking back the brunet couldn't tell when he have had the last peaceful day with his family or if there had ever been.

Right now he wasn't too sure about it anymore. All he saw were people who put on a fake smile, while they tried to impress each other with their achievements. This party was one of the small things his dad ordered to be organized to enlarge his power, find new business partners and to keep old ones entertained.

They all called themselves friends, but in real life they only used each other to make profits.

Siwon didn't want to be a part of them and from the inside he wasn't, but right now standing in that corner he didn't look different from all of them.

He was wearing an expensive suit, his hair styled flawless and his smile was just as faked as theirs.

No, he didn't seem to be strong enough to make the afford to appear otherwise.

Looking good and flawless most of the time became like a habit over the years.

The women sent him flirting gazes from time to time while they were passing by, but all he could come up was just another, dishonest smile of his. And still it made them happy and sigh in awe. As much as he was thankful to god that he had good looks, it could be a curse sometimes too. No one would ever love you for the person you are, if you firstly had money and secondly got a pretty or handsome appearance.

A status and great image were all that mattered.

Sighing heavily at the thought of that, Siwon took another sip of his water, being painfully reminded of his feelings for a certain brunet.

The time spent with Donghae still seemed to be like a beautiful dream, in which the tall boy had felt happy and somewhat where he belonged. The other had just seen him for the person he was, nothing more and nothing less and he had never asked for more than he could possibly become.

It was out of question that the boy had flaws as well, but Hae's heart had been so loving and big that Siwon couldn't help but fall for the other.

And he would never regret it even though they parted and remained as friends. The young man had to accept that the love Eunhyuk and Donghae shared was stronger than him.

The dancer really was lucky to have such a loyal and loving boyfriend.

Giving up had been hard and finding out what had happened after he left, Siwon was outraged to a point he never thought of reaching. Living with the fear of the brunet dying and not waking up was one of the most hurtful things he ever experienced and now he was really relieved his friend and love was alive and happy.
