Changjo’s POV

2 months had passed without us knowing it. We are all busy with the training for the competition which will be held in few days and we became so close now like brothers and sisters.

The 2 closer ones are me and Minhee. In the first week we were still fighting non-stop with each other even Minho did give up on trying to make us friends but after we start to talk with each other; we found a lot of common things between us: like our love and respect to dance, the genre of music and movie we like, our favorite foods and more. So with all of that we started to get closer, we would be listening to music in class together, practice dance together. She even came sometime with me and my friends for a walk.

And like that we were best friends who is hard to be separated. I think I pass more time with Minhee in school than with Teen Top.

“Changjo oppa. Changjo oppa” Minhee’s voice pulled me out from my thought

“yah! Slowly you’ll get hurt if you run like that” I told her worried but she ignored my words and continued to run until she arrives to me and gave me a quick hug.

Yes, we are getting close to the point where skinship isn’t a problem to us, even if I felt those weird feelings in my stomach that I can’t explain. Of course I didn’t tell Teen Top about that because I was scared that they will think I am crazy or they’ll tease me. I think even her, she feels something when we would had a skinship; since every time our hands brush or our body get close when we dance; her cheek will turn to a light pink and she would turn in the opposite direction for me to not to see her reaction. The only persons who don’t like our relations are the female students. They are jealous of Minhee, they even tried a lot to hurt her but thankfully I was able to protect her. Girls are really scary when they are jealous, ugh! But I really don’t understand why they are jealous? I am not her boyfriend or something; we are just friend, JUST FRIEND. But even if I told them this a lot of times they wouldn’t believe me nor Minhee.

“oppa did you hear the news?” Minhee’s excited voice pulled me from my thoughts again

“Which news? Why are you excited?” I told her confused and a pout formed in her face

“oppa, how didn’t you hear about THAT news. Are you really a member of SHINee’s dance club?” she said raising her eyebrows

“if I knew I wouldn’t ask you Minhee-ah so what THAT important news that made you this excited?” I asked her again pinching her cheeks and I earned another pout from her

“tsk! You are such a pabo” she said sticking out her tongue. Aish! This girl will never stop from saying I am stupid “anyways, oppa we have to go to the studio right now because Minho will announce the name of the school that will be against us for the first round” she continued with the same excitement

“tsk! You’re this excited just because of that?” I said shaking my head in disbelieve

“MOAH? JUST because of that?” she asked acting shocked “I can’t wait to see our opponent and be against them.” She said “It was such a long time that I weren’t in a competition so I am over-excited now. So let’s goooo” she continued with stars in her eyes

“arraso, arraso.” I said trying to calm her down.

In our way to the studio I asked her, for the thousandth time, THAT question again “why didn’t you participate in a competition since two years ago even if you are still talented? Ani, why did you stop dancing in the first place?” I asked looking at her but I quickly regretted to ask because her face fall for a second but she quickly put a fake smile on her face

“oppa, I thought we talked about that before. I’ll tell you the whole story when I am ready but it isn’t for now; so please be patient with me nae?” she finished with some aegyo.

And she is right. since I asked a thousandth of time that question I get always the same answers, which are: her ignoring my questions at first and when she couldn’t get away from it easily she just told me that she can’t tell me anything now since she isn’t ready to talk about herself or about her past. It’s why I don’t know a single thing about her; just the fact that she was in U.S and that she was a talented dancer who won a lot of competition (from what she was always saying). I was okay with that and changed subjects but my curiosity keep on asking her non-stop.

When we finally arrived to the studio, we found all the students there. After I greeted my best friends we all sat on the ground until Hyung enter the classroom. We greeted him as well and he did the same

“So I see that everyone is here. And I am sure that you all heard about the fact that today you will know the name of the high school you will be against right?” he asked us and after he get a positive response he continued “so the dancers we’ll be against in 3 days are Woolim’s students which include ‘INFINITE’” he finished

And to not lie everyone was shocked and a little scared since our first enemi will be the talented boys ‘Infinite’ they are a band of 7 dancers who are one of the best dancers I have ever been against and for that I am a little worried and I weren’t the only one because everybody in the studio started to panic

“No way. This can’t happen. Why do we have to be against those especially?” one student asked

 “I know right. I heard that last year they were ranked 3^rd.” another one spoke

“The students I were afraid of the most to be against them at the first rounds are this band and the one who ranked 2^nd too”

“Yah! Yah! Yah! calm down. Even if they were ranked 3^rd don’t forget that we were ranked 1^st. so we can do it this year too; arasso?” I tried to calm them down but for no use

“last year you were the only one who participate, the famous Teen Top, but this year we, untalented dancers will be on the competition too so we’ll surely lose” a students talked

“We are such unlucky students to be against Infinite on the first round” another one said and I really didn’t know how to calm them but thankfully Minhee helped me

“Untalented dancers? Unlucky? STOP ALL THIS BULL!” she screamed at them angrily “if you think that about yourself, just please leave because like I said before we don’t need unconfident students in this important competition” she continued trying to calm down

“Yah! If they leave we’ll have difficulties to change the choreography in 3 days” Chunji hyung said

“It’s true that we’ll have difficulties with that but I am sure that this isn’t impossible right Minho oppa?” she asked

“yup! That’s right so if you are thinking that you’ll lose please leave us because we’ll not give up until we win” Minho replied

The day we were waiting is finally here and we are standing behind the scene where we will perform in few moments. There are a lot of students in the hall who came to watch our performance. I can’t say that I am not nervous because even if I were in a lot of competition I always feel a little nervous. The others are nervous too.

“Isn’t Minhee here yet?” Ricky asked panicked

“No, she didn’t arrive yet and I start to get worried” Chunji replied, worry in his face

“Are you sure that she know where the competition will be held? Perhaps she lose her way” C.A.P asked again

“Yes, I am sure. She know where the competition will be held and she said that she came here before so I don’t think she will get lost” Niel answered this time

“aish! So where did this girl gone? Even Minho hyung isn’t here and he doesn’t answer our calls. I really start to worry” L.Joe continued

Yes that’s right what they are saying. We arrived to the place where the competition will be held but there is 2 persons who didn’t came yet and those two are the most important in this competition: our teacher a.k.a Minho hyung and one of the best dancer in our school a.k.a Minhee. And I am really worried of where they are especially because they don’t answer their phones.

“Perhaps she is so scared that she run away and gave up” the queenka said with her annoying voice

“no way. Noona, ani I mean Minhee can’t do that. She is the one who practiced the most here so I don’t think she will just run away without saying anything.” Ricky said

“She isn’t a coward.” Niel continued

“How can you be this sure? You know her 2 month ago only. You do know nothing about her past or her true personality” the queenka talked again

“SHUT THE UP” I screamed and everyone was surprised even I “she isn’t like that” I continued trying to calm myself since I am really mad at that stupid’s comments. I know Minhee the best and she can’t give up now “I am sure she will come and you will see. She will be the reason why we will win. I believe on her” I said again

“To all the dancers come in the scene and let the competition began.” The MC of this competition spoke in his mic

“pss; Leeteuk hyung” I tried to call the MC but he didn’t hear me so I tried again and when he did I told him if he could give me the mic for a moment and because he is a friend sunbae he did so

“hello! I am Changjo from SHINee high school and emm… I wanted to ask the judge if they could wait few moments because one of our main dancers isn’t here yet.”

“and how can we be sure that he or she will arrive if we wait a little?” one of the judge asked

“she will arrive. I am sure”

“I don’t think so. Perhaps she is just too afraid to come when she heard that she will be against us, Infinite, and did run away” SungYeol said

“that’s what I said” the queenka spoke again but shut when I send her a glare

“I am with them too even if I want to wait to see that pretty girl.” L spoke

“Myungsoo-ah! Stop trying to flirt with every girl you meet” Woohyun said

“Woohyun, just leave him. You know that he can never change that ert” their leader Sunggyu spoke this time

“ERT?! Hyung I am not a ert. What’s wrong if we date a girl” L replied trying to play the innocent boy

“there is nothing wrong to date A girl” Hoya said this time

“see Sunggyu hyung there is nothing wrong doing so” L talked again

“But” Dongwoo tried to continue what Hoya started “it’s bad to date A LOT of girls in the same time L”

“Yah! Hyung you can’t say that in front of everyone. They will think I am a playboy” L tried to protect his image

“But you really are a playboy hyung” the maknae SungJong said

“Tsk! You are just too jealous because I am more handsome than you all” L said again sticking his tongue out to his hyungs but before they could go kill him another judge spoke trying to answer my problem but unfortunately he didn’t resolve it like I wanted

“For your problem SHINee high school’s students; we will give you 10 minutes but I advise you to repeat your dance without that girl instead of waiting her”

“nae; kamsahamnida seongsinim” I thanked the teacher and we went off the scene

“The teachers are right. We have to practice with 19 dancers in those 10 minutes we have instead of waiting doing nothing” C.A.P said trying to lead us since the teacher isn’t here yet

“But I am sure she will arrive hyung” I said trying to defend Minhee but for no use

“We know that you believe in her Changjo-ah. And we believe in her too but we have to try everything to win this competition arasso?” L.Joe said

“arasso. Let’s practice.” I said finally giving up

“But” Ricky and Niel said in the same time “how can we do the couple dance of Changjo and Minhee without her here?” they continued panicked

“ah! That’s right I forget about it. Ottokhae?” Chunji asked

“I can take her role if you want.” The queenka replied before we could say anything “I know her choreography since I wanted to be in her place” she continued

“Oh that’s great!” C.A.P exclaimed “so Hyoyeon will take her place. That’s fine with you Changjo right? Anyway we don’t have any other chance so you have to practice with her. We don’t have a lot of time” he continued

Like that the competition started without Minhee and I don’t know how I was able to focus with all this anger I am feeling but I managed to do the couple dance with Hyoyeon perfectly and we all did our best even if it wasn’t as perfect as we practiced since the change that happened at the last moments was an handicap for us.

We won this competition against Woolim high school with just chance since the competition was so intense and they were better than we; and if they didn't made a mistake we would be crying now instead of celebrating our victory.

“I am sorry guys. I am late” I heard Minhee’s voice and my blood started to boil again “I am really relieved that you won even without me” she said again with heavy breaths like she was running but I didn’t care of why she didn’t come at time or if she was alright instead I did something that surprised all of us

*slap*

I slapped her and I could see that I did that with a lot of straight since her cheek turned red quickly and her eyes were teary but that didn’t affect me at all

“you’re just a LOOSER. You were talking like an hero those past 2 months and I believed in your words; ani, I believed on you; and I was waiting for you until the last seconds but you didn’t come. You aren’t different from those one you were screaming at those time.” I couldn’t contain myself and I decided to just explode finally since I don’t have to lose anything anyway “you said that you will never run away or give up until you won right? So what was that?” I asked her but she was so focused on trying to not cry that she didn’t answer me and that’s what made me angrier so I were going to slap her again “YOU’RE JUST A ”

But Minho hyung’s hand was faster and stopped me before my hand could reach Minhee’s cheek. What surprised me more than the fact that they arrived together, was what happened after.

I felt my cheek sting and I understood that Minho hyung who slapped me

“did you just slapped me hyung?” I asked him don’t believing what happening “HYUNG! You never slapped me even if I did the worst mistakes from when I was young and you just slapped me because of a that can’t take her promise?” I asked him but he surprised me again when he screamed at me

“YOU ARE SUCH A STUPID BOY. Aren’t you curious about why she wasn’t able to come to this competition?” he asked calmly this time

“I don’t ing care. Because of her we were going to lose but because of Hyoyeon we won” I replied him still angry and I could feel the proud smile in Hyoyeon’s face but I just ignore it

“I never thought that you think a competition is more important than a person’s health or life. I am really disappointed on you Jonghyun-ah” Minho hyung said and that really hurt. I can’t understand why he is in Minhee’s side even if she is the one who is wrong “even if you don’t care I will tell you anyway” Minho’s voice pulled me out of my thought “you are surely all curious why me and Minhee didn’t came?” he asked this time all the students and they nodded their heads as a ‘yes’

“so here is what happened…”

Minho started to tell the story and at the end of it I felt so sorry for hitting Minhee and saying all those hateful things to her but when I wanted to apologize I didn’t found her so I quickly went to search her and I had my little idea of where is she and I was right since when I arrived to the rooftop I saw a figure sitting there.

Oh no! Is she crying? I really have to apologize.

A/N: so here is another update as promised for you my dear readers ^^.

and the competition is finally starting so the real story is too :DD.

I did put Infinite as their first opponent because they are a really talented boys band and of course I did put L as the main character 'cause he is my bias in Infinite.

I think I will make the next chapter as a flash back to explain the reason behind Minhee and Minho's absence in the competition and I think I will FINALLY tell you about her past even if I feel that you already guessed what happened to her 2 years ago. But for that you have to be patient because I will not update that soon but I promise that I will try my best. Annyeong~~ *XOXO*
