kiss?

Song. Key. and Melody. {Hiatus}

“Halapeoji” a voice cried softly. Key turned his face to the side and peeked from around his pillows. “Halmoni,” the voice continued. He slipped himself out of bed and rested his feet against the hardwood. “An-anyio.”

His feet dragged across the floor to the couch that XuanLu had insisted that she’d sleep on once again. “Xuanie~,” he cooed but her crying didn’t end. He sighed softly and took her in his arms. “LuLu, it’s just a dream,” he hushed. “You can wake up.”

She dug her face against his throat letting her tears slide down his neck. “I just...” she cried. “I can’t if it’s not real.”

He brushed her hair out of her face so lovingly that anyone would mistake them for a newly-wedded couple. “No one is making you do anything.” He tried his best to snake an arm underneath her and pull her upwards. She moved with him like a puppet teetering in his grasp. It was an exact reinactment of the night before, but this time he was much gentlier.

“I don’t want to,” she cried.

He helped her to his bed where he laid her down against his cotton sheets. She clung to him making it a difficult process. “I can’t,” she cried into a fistfull of his shirt.

“Shh- LuLu, it’s okay,” he smiled laying down beside her. “You’re fine.”

She dug her face into his chest and his arms winding around her as a form of comfort. Her breath became easy as he slowly pat her back. He pressed a finger to her forehead smoothing out the lines. “Such a beautiful girl making an ugly face,” he chuckled the skin softly. Her lips pouted into a soft “M” as she sighed.

Maybe it was because the moonlight hit her in such a lovely way, or perhaps it was because he was feeling connected to her, responsible for her...but he cupped her face in his hand and kissed the skin between his thumb and index finger. This was the only way he could allow himself to kiss her without her permission; it was his own skin. He separated himself from her with his hand while releasing his mixed emotions. He closed his eyes as his lips met skin. “Don’t worry,” he breathed through parted lips. “I won’t let anyone hurt you. Promise."

Hmmms... Is Jjong up to something bad? But he seems like a good person, so I think he's only up to something mischievous. Haha.

XuanLu's so adorable. I love how she bickers with Key. But I wonder why she can't speak Korean even though she understands it; is it because of she lost part of her memory? It just doesn't make too much sense to me. I'd think that she would either know how to speak and listen to Korean like before, or not know the Korean language at all.

Ah, the Chinese fits perfectly. I'm glad. However, the last bit sounds a little awkward. You might want to change it to 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo), which roughly translates to 'he should die/he should go to hell'.

该死 (gai si) is usually said to someone in his/her face, but since XuanLu seemed to be muttering to herself, I thought that you should add in something to make it sound that way. Though the word for word translation of 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo) is 'he should die/he should go to hell', but it actually can be interpreted as 'go die/go to hell' like 该死 (gai si).

Hope the Chinese don't confuse you. xD

As for the story, the first part made me wonder - what exactly did XuanLu not remember from the previous night? Why does Key seem to be so close with her all of a sudden? And of course, I'm still a little confuse over the poor girl's condition. Lols.

I see my name! Thank you! -bows-
This chapter is so cute. You definitely made loads of changes, and I can see more maturity in your writing as compared to the previous one. Good job!

Once again, you made me question the nickname you made for XuanLu. It had looked and sounded weird to me at first, yet, after repeating it again and again in my head, Lulu started sounding extremely adorable to the ears. You really did change my mind about having unusual names/nicknames. xD

Oh, and just a little something I thought you might want to know: XuanLu's Chinese family name would be Cui (崔), since her Korean family name is Choi. I searched Minho's name and came up with the correct translation of the family name. Thought you might find it useful. ^^

Love your poster, btw. The colour combination is pretty. (:

I personally like the previous Chinese name better, but since you're the author, it's your choice. Just wondering though, are you a Chinese?

Oh, and I'm liking the first chapter even more now! ^^
