“Yoong, don’t forget to drink your vitamins and also eat on time, arasso?”  a male voice reminded the young girl.

“Arasso, appa. Don’t worry about me, too much. Take care of your health,too.” Yoona smiled as she remembers her dad.

“Alright, I will. Why would I remind you about eating? I bet it’s the first thing you’ll look for when you land in the US.” His appa laughed as Yoona laughed, too.

“Yah! Appa!” Yoona pouted at her dad which made him laughed.

“Arasso, arasso. You might get late on your flight. You and Yuri take care of yourselves there, okay?” Yoona felt the gentleness on his words when he mentioned Yuri.

‘Could his father knew about their relationship before?’ Yoona thought.

“N-ne, appa. Y-Yuri unnie and I will take care during our stay there.” Yoona mumbled.

“I’m glad to know that Yuri is with you in US. I feel really comfortable whenever I know that Yuri is always with you. She really takes good care of you.” Her appa said.

Yoona wished that her father knew about their relationship. She wanted to know what will be his reaction about that.

“N-ne.”  Yoona can only replied.

“If Yuri takes good care of you, take good care of her, too.”  Her father advised.

“Always, appa. Always.” Yoona whispered.

At the airport.

After the chaotic scene at the airport where hundreds of fans waiting for her just to take a photo or glimpse of her and also swarm of photographers who wanted to take a photo of the beautiful idol, Yoona was led by the security team to a private waiting area.

While her manager was taking care of her documents, she was seated on a couch while thinking of her co-actress. After their conversation at the alley, she hadn’t heard anything from Yuri. The group was too busy with their individual schedules that they hardly had time to see each other.

‘Otteoke! Is it real this time? Did Yuri really back out from the film?’ Yoona thought.

She thought that Yuri might be true to her words that she doesn’t want to do intimate scenes with her ex, so she decided to back out from doing the film.

Just then, she received a text message. She immediately opened it without even looking at the sender.

From:Seunggi-oppa

Yoona-yah~take care during your stay there. Have fun and work hard okay? I’m sorry I can’t drive you to the airport today. I’ll find time to visit you in the US.

Yoona sighed. It’s been awhile since she and Seunggi seen each other. They talked through phone when they have free time but since both of them were top stars, it’s hard for them to spend time together. She’s doubting if she really wanted this kind of relationship. Seunggi is a great person but being in this kind of relationship where you rarely saw each other made her doubt if she wanted to stay. She thought again her relationship with Yuri in the past.

Being in the same team, spending time together is not a problem for them since they were basically together all the time. Yoona thought that maybe she just used that the person she loves is there all the time with her.

‘Im Yoona, you’re just plain stupid’ she said to herself.

For her, thinking about her ex is such a stupid thing to do when she already left her and decided to love another person.

She sighed. Maybe she’s just thinking too much since she’ll be with Yuri for a long time and they will be seeing each other 24/7.

Speaking of Yuri, she looked at her watch and saw that its almost her flight . Yuri is still not here.

“Passengers for the flight 12530, please proceed to gate 1. We will be leaving in a few.” Yoona heard the announcer said.

“Otteoke, where are you, Yul?” Yoona mumbled as she looked at the glass door where the other passengers are starting to pile up.

Her manager finally came in and started to grab Yoona’s bags.

“C’mon, Yoona. We might be late for the flight.” Her manager said.

“But, o-oppa. How about Yuri?” Yoona wondered.

“Yuri? No one informed me that she’ll be with us today. I thought her flight will be tomorrow because if they  informed me that she’ll be with us today, we’ll pick her up from her house.” Her manager explained. “Otteoke, I might verify that one. Hang on, let me call your other manager.”

While her manager is making a call, Yoona is debating herself whether to call Yuri or not. She wanted to make sure that Yuri will be with her in the US or not.

She’s hovering on the ‘call button’ on her phone itching to call Yuri when…

“Yoona c’mon, we’re late. I haven’t got to talk to Sho manager, she’ll probably accompany Yuri later.” Her manager said.

“B-but…” Yoona wanted to stay a bit longer to wait for Yuri. She wanted to make sure that Yuri will be with her.

“Yuri will be with you in the US just wait for her. Right now, you might miss the flight so let’s go.”

Yoona doesn’t have a choice but to follow her manager. With a heavy heart, Yoona walked through the gates of the airport and into the airplane.

One of the stewardess greeted her warmly and led her to the first class area and into her seat.

“Yoona-ssi, do you need anything?” the stewardess asked. Yoona shook her head, she doesn’t want anything. She wanted Yuri to be there. She wanted Yuri to be with her in US.

Yoona sighed for the nth time. She’s disappointed with herself. Her conversation with Yuri didn’t end well. It was always like that. She and Yuri were never well. They will never be. Maybe Yuri decided to back out. Maybe it’s real this time. She doesn’t want to think that so, she covered herself with her blanket and tried to sleep. She wanted to forget everything and thought that this will all be a dream.

As she was about to close her eyes under her blanket, she felt someone sat beside her. But she ignored it, it was probably her manager. Her manager made sure that nobody will seat with her except if it’s her member, manager or her family.

“Yuri-ssi, do you need anything?” Yoona heard the stewardess asked.

Yoona’s eyes suddenly popped out and gasped.

‘Yuri’s here!’ Yoona screamed to herself.

When Yoona heard that the stewardess walked away, she immediately uncovered herself and looked at the person beside her. It’s true, Yuri is with her. She doesn’t know what to feel, she felt relieved, happy and scared at the same time.

Yuri looked at her with nonchalant look at her face and got confused with the look on Yoona’s face.

“What?” Yuri asked.

Yoona came back to her senses and cleared to mask the embarrassment that just happened.

“Uh..nothing. Uh..Y-yah! Why are you late?!” Yoona asked.

Yuri rolled her eyes and rested her head back as she closed her eyes.

“I woke up late.” Yuri mumbled.

“Wae?! Manager oppa and I were waiting for you!” Yoona yelled at the girl.

“Manager oppa didn’t know that I’ll be coming. He called me while I’m on my way here. I thought that Sho unnie will be the one to accompany me to the airport but she has to accompany Soo and Hyo for their guesting she forgot to tell to manager oppa.” Yuri replied.

“But still! You weren’t supposed to be late! What have you been doing last night anyway?!” Yoona started to be inquisitive which made Yuri looked at Yoona.

“Me and Hyo went out last night. She introduced me to some of her friends.” Yuri suddenly sat up. “Why am I explaining to you? You don’t even care anyways.”

Yoona was taken aback from what Yuri said. “W-well, you have responsibilities. We got a movie to shoot, we can’t ruin it.”

Yuri just rolled her eyes, she’s not in the mood to argue with Yoona right now. She rested her head again and tried to sleep.

“Hello, this is your chief pilot speaking. I would like to welcome you to today’s flight. We will be flying in a few so, fasten your seatbelts, relax and enjoy the flight. Thank you.”  The voice on the speaker said.

Just then, the two girls started to fasten their seatbelts and Yuri was surprised when Yoona handed her a neck pillow.

When they were together, Yoona would always give her a neck pillow or lend her shoulder because Yuri would always panicked when the airplane takes off and the only cure for her distress is a neck pillow.

Yoona probably didn’t noticed Yuri’s surprised face because when she felt that Yuri hasn’t taken the pillow, she looked at the girl and asked, “what?”

Yuri grabbed the pillow and put it on her neck. Yuri thought that Yoona probably didn’t notice what she did. “N-nothing.” Yoona just shrugged off.

The plane successfully took off and the two girls were busy doing their own thing for the long flight.

Yoona decided read a book while she let Yuri sleep. She looked at the girl beside her and noticed that Yuri was almost falling over and her pillow is already on the aisle. Yoona closed her book and grabbed Yuri’s head and put it on her shoulder since she couldn’t get the pillow on the aisle because she’s by the window.

Yoona didn’t know what came up to her to do this thing. It even scared her that she had courage to do this thing towards her ex.

‘Maybe old habits die hard.’ Yoona thought.

Her breath hitched as Yuri moved on her neck but immediately went back to sleep when she find a comfortable position. Yoona sighed. She hated to admit this but she missed being like this with Yuri. She missed that she’s the one who takes care of the girl after their long day. With Seunggi, its always doing things with involves money like spa or going to the movies but with Yuri, just a head on a shoulder or laying down on a bed, talking about their long day would made all her stress go away. Maybe it’s because of Yuri’s calming husky voice or her laugh but one thing’s for sure, she’s longing for Yuri now.

‘Maybe my love for you hasn’t go away. No. it didn’t go away. It’s just there. I’m just stupid to leave you. Now, I’m like this. Completely confused and now I know you’re mad at me for leaving you just like that. Mianhe, Yuri-yah~’ Yoona said in her thoughts.

Flashback:

The girls were having their first Word tour. They’ve been praying to have something like this since their debut and they’re glad that its happening now. Finally, their hardwork paid off.

“Yah! JuHyunnie~ you’re texting your ‘husband’ again, didn’t you?” Sunny teased which made the maknae blushed

“Ani~, unnie. He just texted me goodluck for the concert and he also send his regards to you.” The maknae kept blushing.

“Yah! Why are you blushing so hard?” Sooyoung exclaimed which made the rest of the girls laughed.

“UNNIE!” Seohyun blushed again. Since she joined that reality show, she’s been the main topic of her unnie’s jokes. But she completely understand that her unnies were very happy for her and of course they’re jealous at the same time.

“Our JuHyunnie~ is all grown up. It’s like she has a boyfriend now.” Jessica smiled as she closed her eyes to sleep on Tiffany’s shoulders.

As the rest of the girls were bickering and teasing their beloved maknae, YoonYul couple were in their own little world. This is the perfect time for them to spend time together since both of them were too busy with their individual schedules and the time that they were together was through their group activities.

Yoona were busy with her bag as she put out a neck pillow for her beloved girlfriend whose exhausted because she just came from Yoochiri because they just finished their filming of Invincible Youth. As Yoona handed Yuri the pillow, she couldn’t help but sighed at her tired-looking girlfriend.

“Yul~.” Yoona called out her girlfriend. Her girlfriend wouldn’t bulge but as Yoona put a hand on her arm, Yuri immediately stood up and asked,

“What?”

Yoona giggled at her girlfriend’s act. “Yul, relax, I’m just giving you this pillow because we will be taking off soon. You know how you are with flying, right?”

Yuri sighed in relief and melted herself against Yoona and putting her head on her girlfriend’s shoulder.

“I’m so tired, Yoong. Soonkyu and I filmed our last episode today and I got exhausted from crying because I’m going to miss them.” Yuri pouted.

“Aww, poor baby. Just take a rest for a while, okay?” Yoona said as she patted her girlfriend’s head.

“Good day, passengers! This is your captain speaking. we will be flying in a few so please wear your seatbelts and enjoy your flight. Thank you!”

Yuri suddenly stiffened upon knowing that they will be flying. She really hates riding planes. After watching Final Destination with her brother when they were young, the memory of plane crash etch in her mind forever.

Yoona, as a doting girlfriend, put a neck pillow on her girlfriend and held her hand tightly. She even wear the seatbelt on Yuri to relax the girl.

“Relax, babe. We’ll be out of here, soon. Yoona encouraged as she squeezed Yuri’s hand.

Yuri just nodded and tried to relax herself, suddenly she felt the plane is taking off, her grip on Yoona’s hand tightened.

“Yoong!” she gasped as she felt the plane’s turbulence.

“Sshh. it’s normal.” Yoona suddenly felt worried for her girlfriend. She knew how scared Yuri is on the plane and now that they will be flying off frequently because of their tour, she knew this wouldn’t be the last time it will happen.

“It’s okay, I’m here.” Yoona whispered as she put an arm around Yuri and hugged her. Despite of limited movement due to their seatbelt, she wouldn’t mind until she sees that Yuri is alright.

*End of flashback*

“Passengers, we’ll be landing off in a few.” The announcer said.

Yoona looked at the sleeping girl on her shoulder.

‘Once you wake up, we’ll never be like this again.’ Yoona sighed.

She finally wake up from her fantasy and decided to nudge the sleeping girl beside her.

“Yuri.” She whispered at the girl.

Just then, the girl slowly waking up. This is one of the things that she likes about Yuri. The way she wake up is like a puppy waking up from deep slumber. Her cluelessness is absolutely adorable.

“huh?” Yuri mumbled. Just then, she realized that she’s resting her head on Yoona’s shoulder. She immediately stood up and mumbled her apology. “Sorry.”

Yoona tried to hide her disappointment by acting cool about the situation.

“It’s nothing. You’re tired so I let you be.”

Yuri just nodded and both of them decided to ignore each other.

YoonYul new house

“Well, finally! Here we are. Alright, these are your bags and help yourselves into your new home.” Their manager said.

“Oh, where are you staying, oppa?” Yoona asked.

“My parents lived near here. So that is where I’m staying.” Their manager replied. “Okay, I have to leave you now. I’ve got things to do before I could go home. I need to stopped by the production office.”

“Arasso. Drive safely, oppa.” Yuri bowed.

“Thank you for today, oppa.” Yoona bowed as well.

As their manager drove off. The two went inside their new home. It’s a one storey house inside a private village. This is what Yoona dreamt for them when she and Yuri got married. To live in a simple home as they build their family together but all of this will all just a dream.

Yuri went ahead of Yoona as they went inside the house. Inside it, was never extravagant. In fact, it was very laid back and comfortable. Just like their personality. It was what they both dreamt off when they were together. To have a home that its very homey and reflected their love.

It was already furnished with all the basic necessities. Yoona checked the living room, bathroom and even the kitichen is already stocked.

‘I guess we will never get hungry as we stay here.’ Yoona thought.

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.” Yoona heard Yuri said. She followed to where the older girl is and went to bedroom.

Once she got near the girl, she noticed that there’s only one bedroom.

‘Does it mean-?’ Yoona thought.

Yoona saw that there’s only one huge bed inside the bedroom and even an extra mattress was no where in sight.

“What it this?” Yoona asked more to herself than to the other girl.

“What do you mean ‘what’s this’?” Yuri scoffed. “Of course it’s a sick joke!”

“They didn’t know we’re even together, Yuri. Maybe they thought that since we’ve been in a dorm before and we’re even roommates, its okay for us to be in one bedroom and one bed.” Yoona tried to convince both of them. But deep inside her, she’s scared that the company might knew about them and tried to expose what they have.

“Why did they decide on themselves? They should’ve ask us!” Yuri fumed.

Yoona sighed at Yuri’s outburst. She couldn’t understand why Yuri has been so mad about this situation. In fact, she shouldn’t been mad about this. Both of them were over a long time ago. Both of them already moved on.

“Why are you making a fuss about it, huh? This is no big deal. We can share a bed. It’s not like we both have a deadly disease or something.” Yoona said.

“Why am I making a big fuss? Heck, Yoong?! Did you forget that we can’t share the same bed anymore?! Maybe we can if you didn’t decide to dump me for a frog-like man!” Yuri yelled.

“YAH!”

“If you think I’m going to share a bed with you, think again. I’d rather sleep outside than being with someone who left me hanging just to find out that she’s already with another man!” Yuri started to walk towards the door.

Yoona was in a dazed on Yuri’s explosion. Yuri still haven’t completely moved on. Yuri might be cold towards her but she’s still hurt that the love of her life left her just like that.

“You’re just scared, Yul. You’re just scared that you still have feelings for me.” Yoona whispered but yuri heard it clearly.

Yuri scoffed. “Don’t be too full of yourself, Yoona. Your fame is getting into your head. What a shame. Tsk.” Then, she left the dumbfounded Yoona alone in the room.
