After Mr. Kim send them away, instead of talking, the two girls decided to go on their separate ways.

‘There’s nothing to talk about, right? I mean this is just work and if there’s someone who could act real good, it’s Yuri. We’re always like this every time we have our comeback. We could do this, too.’ Yoona thought.

Ever since they broke up, they didn’t have the chance to really talk with each other. Besides, it’s Yoona who wanted the break the break up. She doesn’t want to talk to Yuri anymore and she respected that. They were already through with the talking.

As Yoona sat alone in her car, she couldn’t help but wonder how Yuri has been doing since their break up. She knew that she hurt the girl so much and she felt guilty until now. She wanted to tell Yuri that she has the reason why she did that but it will not make the case any better.

She fought the urge to ask her members about Yuri but she doesn’t want the girls to assume something. Neither Yuri nor her has spoken up after their break up but the members just knew, they never talk it out loud, they just knew. That’s how close their bond is.

But based from Sooyoung and Hyoyeon whose closer to Yuri, they told her that Yuri is seeing someone but the black pearl refused to be open about it. She told her friends that she wanted to keep it first to herself because its making her happy.

Yoona tried to be indifferent about it but she’s lying to herself if she says she’s not.

As long as Yuri is happy, it will make her happy.

Is it?

Yoona sighed. Why did she keep having this kind of thoughts now? She’s over it. She’s over her. She has Seung Gi now and she’s happy.

Is she?

Just before her thoughts could take her further away, her phone beeped. She grabbed it from the passenger seat beside her and read.

From: Seung Gi oppa

I just finished recording. Care for a coffee? <3 I’m at a café near my agency. I’ll wait for you.

She brushed away the thoughts in her head and drove away to meet up with the person who mattered in her life right now.

The day has finally come that they’re going to meet the infamous director, Sofia Coppola. Yoona couldn’t hide the nervousness that she’s feeling right now. It’s a breakthrough not just for the group but for her as well. To be handpicked by the famous director could mean that she has what it takes to be a great actress. She could finally prove the critics and antis that she’s more than just a pretty face and a center of a famous girl group.

She tried to hide her anxiety by drinking hot tea and playing with her pen. She’s really excited because she came an hour before the supposed schedule of meeting. She kept on twirling her pen when she heard a knock on the door.

She looked up and saw Yuri walking in.

The black pearl never failed to amaze Yoona with her aura. She’s breathtaking even in just her signature white v neck, leather jacket combo and aviator shades. It seems like she just woke up with her bed head but nevertheless, it never failed to astound Yoona.

“Oh, thank God. I thought I was late. Me and Hyo went to a bar last night to drink. Hyo bought me too much and I got so drunk and I didn’t even know how I got home.” Yuri said as she sat in front of the doe eyed girl.

Yoona had to laugh with Yuri’s excuse. She totally believed her. It’s typical for Hyoyeon to drag at least one of them to have a good time. But despite of a rough night, Yoona still thinks that Yuri is the most beautiful girl while in hang over.

The doe eyed girl cleared just to brush off the gush over her ex and smiled.

“well, it’s a good thing you’re here now, isn’t it?” Yoona tried to make a conversation.

Yuri looked at her for a while and shook her head. It made Yoona wondered why.

“Yeah. I guess so.” Yuri said as she helped herself with a cup of coffee that the secretary prepared beforehand.

The two went quiet for a while, just doing their own thing. Yoona pretended to be doing something with her phone but she’s just playing with the lock button while Yuri just drinking her cup of coffee while nursing her hang over with a cold bottle of mineral water on her forehead.

Yoona glanced at Yuri who’s nursing her forehead while still wearing her sunglasses on. As much as she wanted to fangirl over Yuri’s badass-ness, she couldn’t help but feel concern about the girl. Her urge to  take care of the girl was too much that she almost went to Yuri and ask a permission if she could take care of the black pearl.

It seems like old habits die hard.

Before she could do what her subconscious has been telling her, someone knock the door and it revealed Mr. Kim, the director, Sofia Coppola and her interpreter.

The two girls stood up and bowed.

“Annyeong hasaeyo. So nyu shi  dae im ni da.” They chorused.

Mr. Kim scoffed and went to his sit while the American director smiled and clapped excitedly.

“Oh my God! I should’ve taped that. I’m such a big fan, sorry. I’m Sofia. Sofia Coppola.” The director shook hands with the girls.

The two smiled timidly because of different things. One, because it’s the Hollywood director that they’ll be working with, two, because it’s bizaare to see someone famous to fangirl over them and three it’s because of the language. It’s a known fact that among nine of them, both of them lack of “English skills”.

“Okay, enough of the chit chats. There’s more of that later. But first, we have an important thing to do.” Mr. Kim tried to everybody.

The girls including, Sofia Coppola and the interpreter sat on their seats and as Mr. Kim lead the meeting.

“Now, that everybody’s cozy. Let’s get started.” Mr Kim started. “Now, we all know that Ms. Sofia Coppola here has a movie coming up and we all know that you two were the main actresses and also a couple for the movie.  So, Ms. Coppola is here, a famous Hollywood director, to explain the plot and all that jazz in the movie.”

Mr. Kim sat and let the female director stood up for her to present her movie.

“Thank you, Mr. Kim.” She thanked the CEO. “I am here to do a movie that is quite different for the masses. Well, as we all know, US is one liberated country and a great venue to explore world talents like you, guys. The reason why that I chose you to be my lead is aside that I’m a big fan of yours, I also want to open a lot of doors not just for your group, but for you too and for your country. Korea is very closed minded when it comes to the topic of homouality and I thought that wouldn’t it be great if we introduce it by using their nation’s gem like Girls’ Generation?”

The two were quite surprised to that statement and it made them wonder that if Sofia Coppola was just using their name so that she would be known in Korea.

“But we’re not going to break their hearts by saying you’re dating, aren’t you?” Sofia joked which made the two squirmed into their seat awkwardly.

“So, we’re going to tell them through art, through this movie. It will also be different because a person from a liberated country would do it, which is me and my crew.  We will open their minds subtly but little did they know that the main focus of this movie is about the love story of your characters, Yuri and Yoona.”

The two girls looked at each other awkwardly and Yuri couldn’t help but smile at Yoona awkwardly.

“Once the public saw the movie, it will be good not just for you two, but for your group as well. They will be known as people recognize you more. You will also be recognize as great actresses. Isn’t it great?” the director beamed at the two .

“So, now, here’s the story of the movie that we’re going to do.” Sofia pressed a button in her laptop to let the projector play.

It showed a photo of Yuri and Yoona photoshopped wearing a soldier and a lab gown respectively.

“You’ll be playing lovers in this story. As you can see, Yuri is wearing a soldier outfit which means she’ll be playing a role of a soldier. She will be one of the greatest soldier in her battalion named Choi Anna. She’s a fiancé of a veterinarian named, Nam Da Jung, who will be played by Yoona.”

“What does it have to do with the zombies?” Yuri asked.

“Good question, Yuri. So, here’s the plot. The story is about zombies which was caused by Yoona’s father who’s a great scientist. He wanted to be the most powerful man in the world so decided to create an army of zombies to kill mankind so he could create a new one. It’s all up to you and your  team to save the mankind from zombie invasion and also your relationship with Yoona. Meanwhile, you, Yoona, you are torn between your relationship with Yuri and your dad because you wouldn’t let your dad get kill by your fiancé.”

“It’s an action movie, I see.” Yoona whispered.

“Yep, but the main focus is the love story. I want the audience feel the love between you two. It’s also a very y movie but not to the point that it’s trashy but its y in a good way. I’m sure you can do it, Yuri, Yoona?” the director smiled at them.

The two ex-couple looked at each other. Acting y is not a problem with them but acting in love would be difficult for them since they both over that phase.

Yuri cleared and looked back at Sofia, “y-yeah. I mean, I can do it. No problem.”

“M-me too, S-Sofia, no problem with me. I can play the part.” Yoona stammered.

“Great! I will be sending you the scripts tomorrow so you could both study them. I would suggest that you study them together so that we could talk about your characters and their relationship. I don’t want fake acting. I just want the realness of the character and their love transpired to the audience. So better study hard okay?” Sofia explained.

“Don’t worry, we will.” Yuri answered for them.

“That’s great, I couldn’t wait!” Sofia beamed.

“So, this movie is a go?” Mr. Kim asked and everybody confirmed. “Great. This movie will be shoot in Hollywood, California. So since you two have no problems staying together in one house, I set a place where you two will be staying for the course of the movie shoot until the premiere of the movie up to the promotions. I might send Tiffany and Jessica to teach you English and all of that once you started the film, okay? So, we’ll continue this meeting some other time since everything about here is settled. Thank you for coming, have a great day.” Mr. Kim greeted as the rest started to dispersed.

Yuri and Yoona bowed at Sofia Coppola and let them left alone.

The two were not surprised that Mr. Kim will make them stay together in one roof but it will be new for the two of them since they will be together again after their break up. Yoona initially planned to stay in a house where Seung Gi bought but it seemed to be impossible now since she’s going to stay with Yuri.

She never thought about these kinds of things before agreeing in doing this film.

The doe eyed girl looked at Yuri who started to get her things and walked to the door. But before she could turn the knob, Yoona called her.

“Yuri.”

Yuri turned around and looked at Yoona.

“Mwo?”

“Uh…l-let’s t-talk?” Yoona never thought that she’ll be saying this. She’s the one who refused this kind of thing.

Yuri looked at her before nodding. “Okay. I’m riding a motorcycle. I know you have a car but just lead the way.”

Yoona was surprised at Yuri’s statement. She knew that Yuri likes adventure since it’s one of her characters but never thought that the girl is into motorcycle. She wanted to ask her about it but she stop herself.

“O-Okay.”

The two girls sat in front of each other in a secluded part of a café near their old dorm. It’s kind of funny because this is where she and Yuri used to go whenever they wanted to stay up late and hang out together. A dorm with 7 other girls is too handful and they wanted to be alone together since they’re dating at that time but it didn’t occur to Yoona that they will be back here together after all they’ve been through.

So, sitting here with Yuri made them thought back those memories.

They’ve been quiet for a while since they came in the café especially Yuri. Yoona has been on the edge to apologize for doing this to Yuri. She think that it might be hard for Yuri to be here since it brought back a lot of memories to her.

“Uh, Yuri?” Yoona called out the girl whose been staring at the window for quite a while now.

Yuri looked back at her as she adjusted her sun glasses.

“We can go to other café if you want. I’m stupid I never---“

“No, this is okay.” Yuri interrupted Yoona. “If you think that I’m upset for being here since we used to go here when we were dating. I’m not upset Yoona. I was surprised at first because I thought you were mocking me---“

“I didn’t.” Yoona interrupted Yuri. “I didn’t mean to okay?” she apologized.

“I know you didn’t.” Yuri said as she took off her sun glasses to wipe off the dust.

It’s the first time again that she could look into Yuri’s beautiful eyes. People always say that Yoona has the most beautiful eyes but Yoona begged to differ. For her, Yuri has the most wonderful eyes. Everything she feel, no matter how much she hides it, it reflects in her eyes. That’s one of her most favorite part of Yuri’s body. Her eyes tell her everything.

Yuri looked at her straightly and Yoona couldn’t help her heart but to skip a beat.

“You forgot it. You forgot everything about this place. You forgot it the day you left after we broke up. It all ended here. This is the place where we started and this is the place where we ended. Isn’t it ironic? Here we are again and we’re just started talking?” Yuri scoffed.

“I really don’t know what is there to talk about, Yoona. It’s just a damn movie. You do what you have to do while I have to do mine. We don’t need to talk and all that crap. We’re both actresses, we can fake like we’re in love with each other. I mean, you done it before with me, right?”

Yoona was hurt from what Yuri said.

Does she really think that I didn’t love her? That I faked it? Yoona thought.

“Wait a minute, I didn’t fake loving you, Yul and you know that.” Yoona retorted and she didn’t even notice the slip of her nickname for Yuri but Yuri noticed it but she just ignored it.

“Oh, I know. I know you faked it. If you really do loved me, it will be hard for you to break up with me but since you’re one great actress, you just acted like you loved me and left me.” Yuri said sharply.

Good thing that they’re in a secluded part of the café and no one could hear them since they’re the only people at that time so no one could hear them.

Yoona was surprised at Yuri’s sudden uproar. She didn’t want this situation now. This is what she hate the most that’s why she didn’t want to talk to Yuri. She doesn’t want confrontation because it could lead to things either unsaid or things that she wished she never said.

“This isn’t the best place to talk about the past, Yuri. We’re over and moved on. We’re here about the movie and we need to talk about it.” Yoona tried to change the subject.

Yuri exhaled in frustration. It seems like Yoona doesn’t want to talk about what happened between them and she’ll never talk about it. If Yoona kept being like this and they’ll be together for a very long time alone, she has no choice but to drop out of the movie.

“Yah, Sofia said that we need to talk about our characters and their story. We need to work hard for this.” Yoona insisted.

Yuri laughed bitterly and said, “Who cares? We both can do it anyways. We don’t need that all that crap that those Hollywood actors do. Heck, I don’t even know why we’re doing this, Yoona. You know what, I better leave. I can’t do this movie. This isn’t a great time to talk to you. Goodbye, Yoona.”

Yuri left abruptly without even looking back as Yoona called out to her.

“Yuri! Come back! Yuri we still need to talk!”

Yoona watched as Yuri walked out of the cafe, ride her motorcycle and drove away.

If that is how Yuri felt when she left her, it hurt so bad that she couldn’t explain.

Yoona sighed. She prayed that Yuri would still do the movie despite what happened today. She thought that it’s her who doesn’t want this but why is it that is Yuri who doesn’t want to do the movie?
