Plot: A lazy day after school, something with jealousy
My backpack is killing me, Amy thought to herself once she finally arrived home. She pushed the heavy weight off her back and tossed it on the floor in the middle of the living room. Junhoe, her boyfriend who walked home with her everyday, chuckled at her baby-like actions and set his backpack down next to hers. "Are you not going to do your homework again?" he asked her.
Amy groaned at the word "homework." She glanced at Junhoe and frowned. "I can do that later. It's been another hard day in that prison. My homeroom teacher keeps lecturing me to prepare well in order to do well on the CSAT."
"He wants to help you plan your future well," Junhoe tried to convince.
"Whatever. How is it guaranteed that giving up sleep and health and time will give me a better future? Isn't my best enough? At least I'm passing..." Amy mumbled in annoyance.
Junhoe hugged her and started to sway back and forth. She held the arms that wrapped around her. It was not like Junhoe did better than her in school, for their grades sat close to each other; he cared a lot about her that he sometimes worried about such things. Amy appreciated the caring side that he tended to not show often.
Both felt exhaustion cloud them and fell down onto the couch in each other's arms. Amy wanted to change out of her school uniform into more comfortable clothes, but her body refused to move any longer. She snuggled close to Junhoe and closed her eyes. "Can we just take a short nap?" she asked softly. Junhoe rested his chin on top of her head and nodded.
"Whatever you want," Junhoe whispered back and pulled her closer to him before he closed his own eyes.
A few, short minutes later, the doorbell rang. Amy murmured incoherent words. Even Junhoe felt a bit irritated, but he said, "Baby, I think you should get the door."
Amy sat up and dragged her feet to the door. She peered into the peephole. A gasp escaped her lips when she noticed who was on the other side of the door. Junhoe heard her, and he observed her as she combed through her messy ponytail and wrinkled uniform. He wondered who the stranger was now.
When his girlfriend opened the door to greet the stranger, Junhoe found a tall boy with side-swept hair and almond-shaped eyes. The boy beamed when he saw Amy.
