Four.
Never Knew I Needed
The heat from the fire warms her as Han Na sits by the fireplace with a book in her hand and her hair tied up. The entire time in school she had been trying to avoid Sehun as much as she could and it was getting tiring for her to do it all the time but she didn’t want him around. She hears footsteps walking closer towards her and the sound of couch sinking comes later. She didn’t bother to look up because obviously she knows who the person is.
“Han Na.” how can he speak her name without so much hate? “Are you busy?”
“Obviously I’m reading.” she snaps
“I need to talk to you.”
“If talking to me is inevitable then why are you asking if I’m busy?” she raises a brow with a blank expression
“It’s called being polite.” he sighs
“You never seem to mind about talking to me as much before, why now?”
“It’s been a year Han Na…” he says “And we’re still no better than strangers or mere acquaintance.”
“I don’t see the problem there.”
“A year Han Na.” he repeats the sentence
“Look.” she shuts her book “I don’t care okay? If that would make you talk to me less and bother me far lesser, just so you know; I don’t care. I don’t care what you like or dislike, what you prefer to do, what is your daily activities, who do you hang out with, what are the problems you face, who your girlfriend is; heck I wouldn’t even mind if you have one and whatever there is to know about you. Because to me, it’s not necessary to know you.”
“Why do you hate me?”
Han Na scoffs “I guess you really do see some of it, I think you know perfectly why.”
“The grades? Han Na I only want to help you.” he says softly
“Well I don’t need your help! Haven’t I made myself loud and clear enough for you, I don’t need your help Sehun, gosh.” she runs her fingers through her hair “The only way you can help me is by leaving or disappear; that would help a lot.”
She has had enough with him trying to ‘help’ her as he refers it to. Minutes later, Sehun knocks on her door; mentioning something about leaving for a party and asking if she wants to come along but Han Na didn’t answer and he couldn’t do anything about it so he left. Han Na thinks it was ridiculous that Sehun informs her of where he’s going when obviously she had said that she didn’t care.
He arrives at the party and most of the people greet him; he is after all the Head of Student Council and with those looks, no one could overlook him. Sehun is never proud of whatever he has, from his personality, to his looks and money; he never mentioned anything about it. Many adore him and girls would love to have him yet being engaged didn’t put him as an exception in their lists.
“Fruit punch?” a girl offers him a drink
“Thanks.” he takes it and sips slowly
