'Kai?" I look up to see a hooded man. Instinctively, Kai rose his knife up, "Who are you?" The man walked closer, making Kai take a step fowawrd. "Kai, it's me, Suho." he said as he took off his hood. I could see Kai's eyes widened as Suho came over to us.

"I can't believe you're here too.'' As I took a closer look at Suho, I could see he had many cuts and bruises everywhere. They both sat down next around me, trying to catch up on everything.

"How did you get here?" Kai asked.

"Well, let's see, I woke up and saw this old man and he was tryi-" Me and Kai were both looking at each other.

"What? Did I do something wrong?" Suho asked puzzled.

"Perhaps he didn't have a scar on his left cheek did he?" Kai asked. I prayed that he would say no. Just please.

"Yea, why you ask?" No way. Kai then explained the whole situation.

"This is really creeping me out, this old man is creeping me out the most." I see Suho shivering.

I then see his hand out, "I'm Suho, Kai's best man, and friend." 

"Uhm hi, I'm Haeun." I went to shake his hand.

"Nice to meet you." As they both kept talking on about everything, I couldn't help but ponder over this old man. 

If Kai saw the old man before I did, and I saw him, and I just saw the dark shadow in the room, how the heck would the old man be here, when I woke up somewhere different in my mind. The pieces don't even match up.

"Hauen, Haeun, Haeun." I hear my name, as I could feel Kai hands shaking my shoulders. I snapped out of thoughts. 

"You're bleeding again." I look down to see my left leg bleeding through the shirt that Kai wrapped around. He suddenly took my leg and positioned it in front of him. He tore out a bit more of his shirt and wrapped it again.

"Omo, are you okay?" Suho asked. 

"Yea, I just got attacked by a wolf, don't worry I'm fine." "I should have protected you." I hear Kai mumble as he finished wrapping it and tying it securely.

"Suho, can I ask how you got the bruises and cuts?" I ask, he then nodded.

"I was attacked by a wolf. Just when I was leaving I saw one right there. I tried to run but then it bit my hand and I couldn't help but notice some tag around it."

"Do you mean this?" I see Kai raising his tag up from his neck.

"Yea, but..." I hear him stutter.

"Did you by chance get it?"

"No, but..."

"Did you know each one of these has powers?"

"You got to be kidding."

"No joke, this one allows me to teleport places, although I haven't got the hang of it yet." No joke about that. The two tags I was wearing caught Suho's eyes, 

"You have two of them?"

"Yep, more like one and a half," I look down at both of them around my neck. "I'm not sure what this one does.(Referring to the half tag.), but I'm pretty sure this one has something to do with water." I then take off the tag and handed it to Suho.

"Have it, I think you need it more than me," I say.

"I can't take this, Haeun, you need more protection than me, you're more impo-"

"Just take it , besides, you can use that to protect me."

"Thanks, but how do I use it?" He says as he puts is around his neck.

"You kinda have to imagine you using the power?" I hear Kai say. 

Suho then closed his eyes, all the sudden I could feel raindrops hitting my head. The rain got harder and harder.

"Suho, could you perhaps tone it down, or maybe try to find a diffe-"

"But it's not me Kai, I swear,"  I looked down at the tag to see that it wasn't lighting up or anything. We can see lightning from the distance as the clouds got darker and darker.

"We should leave now, I just saw a village right outside the jungle." Kai nodded as he grabbed me by the arm and put it around him as he lifted me up and put me on his back. "Wait Ka-"

"No time, we need to get out." I hear him say. I stay silent as they both nodded to leave. The rain intensifies as I could feel the wind picking up. 

"Haeun, we are almost there, don't worry." I hear Kai's soft voice saying to me. I held on tighter to him. I didn't know why, but it just felt so safe whenver he's around. It's just something about him.

As a couple minutes passed, I could see the end of the jungle, but my vision began blurring again, as I started to feel dizzy. My body felt cold, that same coldness I felt when I woke up. It was too cold..

Kai's POV

We got out of the jungle, there was no sight of the village. "Wait, I swear I saw a village here, I was just here before..." I hear Suho say.

I then felt Hauen arms losing grip around me. "HAEUN." She fainted, and as I place her down, I could feel her whole body cold. I touch her forehead, it was extremely hot. Hot and cold?

"She has a fever, but what else?" I try to look for something, but it was just me and Suho, both dripping wet, and grass.

"How much time do you think we have left?" I look at her arm, and there was around six to seven inches gone from her wrist. "I'm not sure, but there's not much time left." If only I could understand, could truly understand what was happening. How I saw her appear out of nowhere at that grass field. This old man that seems to be popping out of nowhere. What is happening. 

It was getting close to nightime, and we decided to make camp here. Suho went back in the jungle and managed to find some dry materials for the fire. As we got the fire going, Suho took off his hoodie and placed it over Haeun. "It should be dry now." I nodded as he went off to try to figure out the tag.

After what seems to be forever, I see Haeun started mumbling and shaking around. "Don't, don't ki..." I started to see her sweating. I took off my shirt and started to wipe her forehead. It's so hard to understand what's she going through.

Your POV

I had a nightmare, I can't remember what, but the only thing I remember was the dark shadow. My body felt like it went back to its normal condition. My eyes began opening slowly and I felt something on my forehead. I see Kai, right in front of me, half . Startled, I flinch back. I tried my best to avoid staring at his body. 

"I see you're awake now, don't get up too much because you need to rest, you fainted just a couple hours ago." I look up to see that it was nightime, I positioned my body up a little, so it wasn't too awkward.

"You can have this back." I handed him his shirt from my forehead, avoiding any eye contact to him. I hear him chuckle as I can hear him put his shirt back on.

"Where's Suho?"

"Suho? He's over there trying his best to use the tag, he's been at it for a while." I hear him laugh, and then I see him smile. That smile... it captivated me.. wait what am I saying??

"Uhm, Kai?" I see him look back at me.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry you had to be stuck here try-" He then put his fingers over my lips... again.

"No need, Haeun, I'm already here, so don't apoligize, instead, let's all get through this and save the people we love the most okay?" I nodded at him, and he smiled back. Again.. that smile.

"KAI KAI KAI" I hear Suho from the distance. He came back out of breath, "I finally did something!"

"Oh, Haeun, you're awake!!" I give him a small nod.

"Watch? Okay?" We both nodded as I see him closing his eyes, I suddenly feel a splash of water come to my face. 

"Yah, Suho, if you are gonna use it, atleast hit me instead of her," I hear Kai scold Suho.

"I'm sorry Haeun, I still haven't got used to it yet." I see Suho look down.

"It's alright Suho, don't be so down, it's just water." I give him a smile as I try to wipe away all the water, but then I feel hands stopping mines. My hands we suddenly went down and I could see Kai's hand wiping all the water from my face. He was so close to me. Nearly our faces almost touching. 

"Thanks Kai," As he was done he gave me a small smile.

A few couple hours past as the night sky went completely pitch black, with only the fire as the only source of light. Suho fell asleep, as me and Kai were quietly talking to each other for a long time.

"You woke up 3 times, and you saw the old man almost being consumed by the shadow?"

"Yea, I don't know how he appeared. Or what."

"We will figure this out." he whispered. "Go to sleep, you need to rest, I keep watch for you both."

I slowly drifted off, and when I opened my eyes, I wasn't at the same place, I didn't see Kai nor Suho. I felt something so familiar, something so..

Hi!! I finally introduced the first character, Suho, hahah water, you know... I know the characters might not have the same personalities in real life, but, this is a fanfic... hahah so forgive me. I feel like I make them talk too much. I really hope the story improves once the story progesses!! Its starting really slowly.
