Hyuk blinked slowly, trying to process the room around him. The walls, floor, and ceiling were painted with big, red spirals that made his head hurt if he looked at them for two long. He honestly didn’t understand what he was doing in the room, couldn’t figure out how he had gotten there.

“Hyungs?” he called, taking a small step forward, “is this a joke?”

No answer.

“If this is a joke,” he called out again, “it’s not funny.”

Still no answer.

“Seriously,” his eyes narrowed in anger, “this isn’t funny. Cut it out already.”

Once again he got no answer and the silence was starting to scare him. Compiled with facts that he was alone and had no memory of how he got into the room……..Hyuk was starting to get a little scared. He was starting to come to terms with the fact that there was no way his hyungs had anything to do with this and that actually made everything scarier. If N, Leo, Ken, Ravi, and Hongbin weren’t responsible, then who was?

“Hyungs! Hyuk screamed as suddenly the floor under him gave way and he fell into a big, black hole of nothingness.

“Hyuk!” Hyuk opened his eyes to find Ravi sitting beside him looking more than a little worried, “you’re awake.”

“Awake?” Hyuk blinked, trying to understand what was going on. Just moments ago he’d been in that black hole and now he was in his bed.

“Yeah,” he turned his head to see N looking just as troubled sitting on the other side of his bed, “you’ve been sick the past couple of days. Really sick.”

“We thought we were going to have to take you to the hospital,” Ravi added, moving to check Hyuk’s temperature, “your fever finally broke.”

“You were a lot,” N said, “calling out for all of us. Were you having a bad dream?”

“I guess,” Hyuk nodded, more than a little relieved to find out that the spiral room was nothing but a dream, “nothing too bad I guess.”

A/N: I was originally thinking “spiral = downwards spiral. Who can I make have a downwards spiral?” but then I got the idea for this and, well, I liked this better. On a side note: don’t you just hate those nightmares where it just….it feels so real. Once, back about…….two years ago I think, I had this really vivid nightmare where a cattle brander was being pushed into my leg. When I woke up, it wasn’t enough to be just like “oh, I’m awake. It was just a dream. I’m in my bed now.” No, I had to, like, rip off my blankets, pull up my pj pants, and run my hands over my legs while looking them over just to be sure. I did not sleep for a week. Not well anyway.
