VIXX 300 Theme ChallengeTitle: Mother Nature Pairing: HyuKen Related Chapter: none Word Count: 388
Ken really hated thunder storms. More specifically, he hated the kind where the wind howled and the rain pounded the windows. The kind where the thunder was so loud that all the glass windows and doors rattled. The kind where the power was knocked out and the only light besides flashlights and candles was the lightning that illuminated the night sky with its powerful bolts of electricity.
Currently, he was sitting in the VIXX dorm alone with such a storm going on. He knew that the others weren’t going to be home any time soon, but he wished that they would walk through the door right then with all his heart. Oh, how he wished that just one of the others were home. But instead he was alone. Even their manager was gone, out collecting Hyuk from the last of his individual schedule for the day. Their managed had asked Ken to come, but he’d refused at the time.
At that time, there wasn’t a massive thunder storm rattling the windows and lighting up the sky. The sky hadn’t even looked all that dark, so Ken decided to stay home and work on making dinner for himself, Hyuk, and their manager. The others weren’t going to be home until much later, so Ken had figured that he could just make some extra and put in in the refrigerator for them to warm up later.
Not even twenty minutes after their manager left, the storm rolled in. First came the thunder, then the lightning followed by the rain. Then, the lights went out leaving Ken alone in the dark.
“Hyukkie,” Ken whimpered as an especially loud roll of thunder shook the windows, “please hurry. Please come home soon.”
--
“Hyung?” Hyuk called, rushing through the door of the dorm.
“Hyuk,” Ken sighed in relief, rushing to throw his arms around the other, “you’re home.”
“Sorry I took so long,” Hyuk apologized, hugging Ken back just as tightly, “there’s so much rain that the roads are starting to flood. I don’t think the other hyungs are going to be able to get home tonight.”
“At least you’re home,” Ken smiled brightly, but his smile faded slightly when yet another roll of thunder rang out.
“Come on,” Hyuk said, leading Ken into their bedroom, “let’s get your mind off the storm.”
A/N: and I’ll let your imaginations come up with the rest.
