Enough said about sweet, angelic Suho

“Come here, Khunnie. It’s bathtime and then a bedtime story for you. Mommy will be really mad when she comes home and finds out you haven’t bathed yet!” called Suho for his son who was playing on his new PS4.

“Just 5 more minutes, Appa!!” whined 6 year old Khun. He was on a roll and he didn’t want to stop playing. Well, not till Mommy came home. Appa was easier to talk to than Mommy. Mommy would take away his PS4 for a month if she found out that he didn’t listen to his father.

“Khun, come on, 5 minutes are up. Your mom’s going to be back soon. Your sister Sae-Hyun is already in bed and asleep. I don’t want to yell in case we wake her up. Why can’t you just listen for once when I call you for bath? We’ll both be in trouble then,” Suho was standing across the house from the bathroom. He was beginning to lose his patience. He had vowed not to ever yell at his son but man was Khun testing his patience at that moment.

“Ah, Appppaaa! Uncle Chen and Uncle Sehun always let me play some more when I ask! Why are you so mean?  I just want to play for 2 more minutes. Only two more… I promise!” Khun negotiated with his dad.

“KIM TAE-KHUN come here right now! Before I call your mom and let her know.” Suho threatened. Of course, he would never actually call his wife but when getting ready for bed, his son seemed to respond faster when he pulled out the I Am Going To Call Mom card.

“COMING!! I’m coming, appa! Don’t call mommy!”                                                                         

Suho heard the PS4 being instantly shut off and then the pitter patter of little footsteps up the staircase.  At the same time, he heard whimpering coming out of the baby monitor device, followed by cries that increased in volume. Oh no. They had awoken the baby…

“Khun, the bubble bath is ready… Take off your clothes and leave them in the laundry hamper and then jump in the tub. I’ll be right there. Just have to rock your sister back to sleep…”  Suho instructed Khun.

“Daddy’s coming, little princess!” he yelled as he ran towards Sae-Hyun’s nursery.

That night, thankfully, Sae-Hyun didn’t fret much and was asleep again after only 5 minutes.

As he walked into the bathroom, he saw his son playing with the bubbles in the tub. There were bubbles EVERYWHERE! On Khun’s head, on his hands, on the sink ledge, on the ceiling and bubbly water overflowing onto the tiles. His clothes were also strewn everywhere. Oh, someone was going to be mad when she got home!

But before he could say anything to his son, Khun pipped up, “Daddy, where do babies come from?”

Suho’s jaws dropped. Khun was 6 already. Didn’t they say that kids usually start asking these questions at the age of 3 or something?!?! He thought that he had successfully avoided the situation already…

“Daddy…?”

“Huh? Oh, umm, didn’t... didn’t Mommy ever talk... t-talk to you… errh… about that?” Suho stuttered. His cheeks flushed red as he remembered that night…

Sae-Mina fumbling with the buttons of his button-up, trying to open them. Her hands wrapped up in his hair. Their deep kiss and the best night of his night. Well… one of the best nights.  Man, Sae-Mina’s been gone on a trip to visit her mom in Belgium for 2 weeks now. Two whole weeks without cuddling with her…without her scent of sweet vanilla, without having...

Suho was caught up in his thoughts when suddenly,

“Daddy… daddy…. APPA!!! Where did I come from?”
