How to Tame Your Writer
Description
Kim Jonghyun is in need of money: his little brother had accidentally smashed his guitar against the wall and the poor thing snapped in half. With his and his friends' concert coming up, the boy needs to find a way to get a new one. His parents refuse to help him, as it had been his fault that Taemin had gotten his filthy little hands on the instrument in the first place.
So what can Jonghyun do in such a situation?
- He can't get a summer job: he lives in a tiny town where most posts are already filled by kids his age that have been quicker. He had looked for a job, only to see that no one is hiring. No one.
- He can't go to other towns for job simply because the bus ride there would cost more than he would actually earn, or so his mother had said once.
- He can't even borrow money from his friends: they have barely been getting pocket money since they spent everything on a hilarious prank... on their school's principal.
To top everything off, he can't even take care of his brother - yes, for money - like before, because apparently, after he called Taemin a brat - and a few other things - the kid refuses to even look at him. Of course, he still begs for Jonghyun's cookie every single day but their parents strongly believe that the Jonghyun had broken his poor little brother's heart.
He is totally clueless about what he could do. But what is worse than that, is that he is penniless.
Foreword
Jonghyun was watching TV when the doorbell rang. At first he ignored it, thinking that it had been just a figment of his imagination, or maybe the show he was watching. But another low, ringing sound was heard, then his mother's shriek of 'Jonghyun, just open it!'
The boy let out a huff as he pushed himself off, shaking his head at the rush off dizziness the sudden movement had earned him. He made his way to front door with a grunt or two, narrowing his eyes as he opened it. There was no one there, only a fairly big box lay on the welcome mat. He poked at it experimentally, not really knowing what to think.
"Hey, I can't see!" he heard a thin voice suddenly. Jonghyun's eyes widened remarkably as he looked around for the source of the quiet sentence."Hey!" He heard again, this time much firmer."I'm in here, you giant!"
The teenager tilted his head to the side, shrugging as he slowly opened the box.
A boy Jonghyun's age was sitting in it, cat-like eyes flickering with delight as he pounced out. Only then did Jonghyun realize that he was tiny.
"Just what are you?" Jonghyun asked as he looked at the boy, inspecting his fluffy blond hair and chubby, pale cheeks.
"I'm Kibum. And I think I'm going to live with you!"
AN: We've all experienced the horrors of writer's blocks or when a story idea just wouldn't want to be written, right? This story will revolve about how a writer grows into someone else. Why and how? This is for me to know and you to find out.
