The clock ticked.

Tick.

Every second.
Every minute.
Every hour.
Every day.

Minseok was alone.

He lay flat on his bed with his arms and legs outstretched and stared blankly at the boring white ceiling.

He didn't have the energy to do anything even though he hadn't moved a single muscle.

Suddenly he heard slight drops tickling his roof.

It was raining.

He slowly got up and peeked through the curtains.

It was all gray and gloomy.

"What a great way to add to the mood." He scoffed.

Minseok had been lonely for a long time now.
His story?
He wouldn't tell anyone.
He couldn't trust a single soul anymore.
All the people he trusted... 
they slowly drifted away from him until they were completely gone and rid of connections to him.

He was that quiet, mysterious kid.
The one no one knew that much about and who always sat at the back and loathed being the center of attention.
The type who didn't trust just anyone.

The people who got close to him never stayed.

They.

Found.

Better.

People.

It always went around his mind.
The fact that everyone left him and he was practically alone.

There was a feeling in his heart that just tore him apart.
He was missing something.
He didn't know what it was.

The friendship of someone?
The comfort of someone?
The care of someone?
The love of someone?

He didn't know.

- RING RING -
To his surprisement, his phone rang.
Hardly anyone called him.

He sat up and reached for his phone on the small, dark, wooden table next to his bed.

He looked down at the bright screen that shot out the words :
"DOCTOR"

He settled down from his excitement, feeling a little disappointed finding out it was merely just his doctor.
But again, who else would it be?

He answered.
"Hello?"

"Hello? Mr. Kim Minseok? Hi, it's Dr. Lee." A man with a soft, gentle voice replied.

"Yes, hello."

"Uhh, let me see. Are you available to come to the clinic at the current moment?"

"I guess so... how come?"

"The test results... we'll talk about it more in details when you arrive."

"Okay. I'll be there at around..." He looked at the clock. It was 7:34 am. It would take him only a few minutes to get ready and walk there."...around 8:00-ish."

"Okay. We'll talk later. Thank you."

They both hung up.

"The test results..." Minseok wondered to himself."What could it be?"

But he knew. 
He knew exactly what was wrong with him.

He quickly changed into a black hoodie and jeans. He brushed his teeth and combed his hair neatly.

He was ready in a quick jiff and walked out.
He didn't earn his driver's license yet so he had to walk.
The clinic was only a few minutes away anyways.

The only problem was that it was raining.
There were puddles everywhere and it was all cold and drippy.
The sound of the rain pouring and the thunder gave the day a gloomy effect.

Splash.
Splash.
Splash.

Every step he took made a small splashing sound.

The way to the clinic was just to go straight, straight, straight, straight, make a right, and go straight, straight, and straight.

Pretty simple route.

But no one knew.
That today,
Was the day.
The day he was planning to kill himself.

He was done.
What was the point of living when there was nothing to live for?
No one to encourage him.
No one to make him happy.
There was no one.

Instead of taking the route to the clinic, he went another route.
To the subway.

It was perfect.
He'd wait for a train to come zooming through and throw himself off the platform and onto the cold iron railways.

He planned it all out.

Finally he arrived.

His death was right infront of him.

He stared down at his death bed with tears almost forming and quickly it up.
He didn't care anymore.

And so
He waited for a train.

Waited.
Waited.
Waited.

Finally he caught one with bright lights zooming hurriedly through the tracks.
