Kibum was sitting in his living room, nothing unusual about that.The sun was shining through the curtains, the birds were chirping outside, the TV was playing random childrens’ shows and laughter echoed through the halls of his apartment. A perfectly peaceful afternoon.

Or…..so he thought.

Just as he had begun to enjoy the relaxing environment around him, he heard a loud crash, followed by chaos. The room began shaking and sky changed to green. It was almost as if he were in a tornado (which was weird because Korea doesn’t get tornadoes….). Without warning  those he loved appeared swirling in the violent tornado that destroyed his peaceful afternoon.

“Hyung,” Taemin’s apparition called to him from the tornado “Why are you so weird?”

“I’m very disappointed in you Kibum.” His grandmother spoke.

“How could you do this to our family?” His mother cried “How are we supposed to tell people our son’s a freak?!”

“I can’t be with a freak of nature.” Jonghyun spoke “I found someone much better than you.”

“Daddy!” A little child’s voice cried out loudest among the others. “Why did you let them do this to me? Why didn’t you just abort me when you found out I wasn’t normal?!”

“No.” Kibum cried out after hearing the child. “No. No. No!”

“Daddy, why?!” The little voice cried again.

“But, I love you!” Kibum sobbed. “Why would I do that to you?!”

“Why!” The child repeated desperately.

“Kibum!” Jonghyun’s voice called for him, different from before. This Jonghyun wasn’t mean or condescending. This Jonghyun sounded scared and worried.

Without warning, the chaos stopped and Kibum jolted upright in his bed. His bed. It was all just a dream. No, a nightmare.

Kibum panted a little before coming fully to his senses. Looking to his left, he saw Jonghyun staring at him with worried puppy eyes. Suddenly, Kibum was overcome by a need to cry. Not out of fear per se but more out of frustration. He had been having these nightmares for weeks now. He had tried all sorts of things from herbs to vitamins (with Dr. Choi’s permission of course) that would help him sleep nightmare-free but, nothing seemed to work. It was so infuriating! He just wanted some sleep! He had no idea where these obnoxious dreams were coming from or why he was having them.

“It’s okay, Kibum.” Jonghyun whispered before hugging Kibum. “I’m here, you’re safe.”

Poor Jonghyun. This must be just as frustrating for him as it was for Kibum. Every night Kibum would have his nightmares and every night, without fail, Jonghyun would wake him up and hold him until he calmed down. Jonghyun wasn’t getting much more sleep that Kibum was. And it was all Kibum’s fault.

“Thanks.” Kibum whispered as he pulled away.

“Wanna talk about it?” Jonghyun asked.

“Not really, no.”

“Kibum,” Jonghyun let out a frustrated sigh. “I think it’d be really good for you to just tell me what it is that you’re dreaming about. It’s obviously not helping to keep it to yourself. Maybe talking will help?”

“No, honestly, it’s okay.”

But it wasn’t. What if Kibum had made a mistake when he chose to keep the babies instead of abort them? Was he ruining Jonghyun’s life by forcing this responsibility onto him at such a young age? They hadn’t even finished college yet!

Kibum knew he could be a father, something inside him just told him he could. But Jonghyun? Well, he was still young and pretty damn clueless if Kibum were to be honest. He couldn’t possibly know much about raising a child? He could barely cook himself a decent meal when Kibum was gone. How could Kibum expect him to suddenly be skilled at cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, breaking up inevitable fights between the two siblings, and so on?

“Are you sure?” Jonghyun broke him out of his thoughts.

“Yes,” Kibum sighed, laying back down. “I’m sure it’s just the pregnancy.”

“Maybe.” Jonghyun said, buying Kibum’s excuse before laying down and wrapping his arms around Kibum’s hips. “Try to get some more rest, ne?”

Kibum just hummed before falling back into what he prayed was a dream-less sleep.

Guess who's back (E/n: us, yaaaayyyy)?! I'm so so sorry that it took us this long! We ran into an obsene amount of problems while trying to upload this chapter I mean omg (E/N: 1) you spelt 'obscene' wrong 2) you used the word 'obscene' wrong. She does not mean repulsive or offensive, she means an insane amount). It was awful you guys! AWFUL! First Bre's computer broke, then we somehow managed to lose the chapter that I originally wrote (E/N: WOAH WOAH WOAH THERE WAS NO 'WE' ABOUT THAT! THAT WAS ALL HER SORRY, TECHNOLOGICALLY CHALLENGED ). Anyway, I'm sorry and I will try to make sure to post the next chapter next time without Bre's edits if something happens again.
